Star Wars: The Force Awakens: A Junior Novel is the junior novelization of the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, adapted by Michael Kogge. It was first released in eBook format on December 18, 2015, and later in hardcover and paperback on February 16, 2016. The audiobook is narrated by Jonathan Davis.

Development

Michael Kogge had access to both a copy of the film's screenplay and a draft of Alan Dean Foster's novelization as resources for his creation of the junior novelization.[7]

The book is available in three editions in 2016: a regular softcover and hardcover with photo inserts from the film, as well as a UK hardcover version which lacks the inserts.[8]

The junior novelization was reprinted by Egmont UK Ltd on May 4, 2017 for the UK market with a new cover following in series with their reprints of the original trilogy junior novelizations.[5]
