- "The primary species of rathtar is native to the planet Twon Ketee. However, the subspecies known as dwarf rathtar calls Trillia home."
- ―Ardis San Tekka's journal
Trillia was an Expansion Region celestial body. It shared its name with the Trillia Massacre, which saw dwarf rathtars kill and eat a large number of beings. Around 34 ABY, the cargo starship Sketter's Quarrel was transporting several exotic creatures the private ownership of which was illegal, including a dwarf rathtar from Trillia.
Description
Trillia was a celestial body[5] located in the Trillia system of the Imberlin sector, a part of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated within grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and lay on[6] the Gamor Run[3] hyperspace route that linked it to the Aridus system as well as the Mid Rim Territories space station Munt Ontdal.[6] Trillia was home to dwarf rathtars, a subspecies of the carnivorous rathtar cephalopods from[7] the Outer Rim Territories[8] planet Twon Ketee.[7]
History
- "Among the exotics cataloged by the Sector Rangers were a Tralusian styanax, a sycanid from Humbarine, an Arkanian polar drake, Outer Rim worrts, and a dwarf rathtar from Trillia."
- ―Police Commissioner Exantor Divo, Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious
Around 34 ABY, the starship Sketter's Quarrel was transporting a dwarf rathtar (pictured in a cage) from Trillia.
Trillia shared its name with the Trillia Massacre, an event that took place[9] at some point by 34 ABY.[10] The event saw a large number of beings killed and eaten by dwarf rathtars.[9]
Around 34 ABY,[11] the New Republic Sector Rangers discovered the cargo starship Sketter's Quarrel dead in space. Aboard the vessel, which had been destined for Regent Solculvis of[5] the Expansion Region's[6] Mol'leaj system,[12] the Rangers found several exotic creatures the private ownership of which was illegal, including a dwarf rathtar from Trillia.[5] Later around that same year,[13] information from the Rangers' file on the case, which mentioned the dwarf rathtar's origin, was published in the book Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was authored by New Republic Police Commissioner Exantor Divo.[5] The origin of dwarf rathtars at Trillia was also noted in the journal of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts cartographer Ardis San Tekka,[4] which was published at some point no earlier than 35 ABY.[14]
Behind the scenes
Trillia was introduced in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.[5] "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025—with both works being authored by Jason Fry[15]—initially placed the Trillia system in grid square P-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid, but the placement was later amended to grid square P-13[1] in an October 14, 2025 update.[16]

(In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).

- ↑ Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious dates the discovery of the Sketter's Quarrel to 8011 (C.R.C. date) and gives 7980 (C.R.C. date) as the year that the carbon-freezing of Han Solo took place. As Star Wars: Timelines dates Solo's carbon-freezing to 3 ABY, the discovery of the Sketter's Quarrel must therefore have taken place around 34 ABY.

- ↑ The latest entries chronologically in Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious are dated to 8011 (C.R.C. date) and gives 7980 (C.R.C. date) as the year that the carbon-freezing of Han Solo, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 3 ABY. Therefore, 8011 C.R.C. must have been around 34 ABY. Scum and Villainy also mentions Hosnian Prime as still being capital of the New Republic, meaning the in-universe Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious must have been published prior to the destruction of the planet, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. As the publishing must have occurred between the time of the latest entries and the destruction of Hosnian Prime, it therefore also took place around 34 ABY.
- ↑ The in-universe journal represented by Star Wars Bestiary, Vol. 1: Creatures of the Galaxy mentions the defeat of the clone Galactic Emperor Palpatine, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 35 ABY, meaning the document must have been published at some point no earlier than that year.
