Throughout the galaxy, individuals such as pilots used callsigns,^[2] also known as a call sign,^[3] or comm signs,^[1] to identify themselves as a means of saving time in communication and avoiding confusion. Red Leader was an example of a callsign,^[2] as were Blade Leader,^[4] Victor Two, and Victor Three.^[5]
