Arc welders were a tool that included a tiny blowtorch and could be used for repairs and cutting into objects. Some models of astromech droid were equipped with arc welders, including R2-series, BB-series, and C1-series astromech droids.[1] Though other types of droids included them as well, such as toy droids.[2]

During a pirate raid, pirate captain Silvo ordered his crew to use an giant arc welder to bypass the magnetically sealed vault.[3]
