A tractor beam projector,[2] also known as a tractor beacon or tractor beam generator,[3] was a device that locked onto objects and drew them into its force field.[4] Imperial I-class Star Destroyers were equipped with Q7 tractor beam projectors.[2] The Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser[5] boasted three powerful tractor beam projectors, which it used to help steer traffic away from construction zones.[6]
