History
Clone Wars
B1 battle droids march alongside an MTT, which deploys more B1s.
Various models of troop transports were used throughout the Clone Wars. The Galactic Republic transported troopers with their LAAT/i gunships[1] and Nu-class attack/transport shuttle.[2] The Confederacy of Independent Systems likewise employed troop transports, including the Multi-Troop Transport and the C-9979 landing craft.[1]
Galactic Civil War
Troop transports used by the Galactic Empire included the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, Imperial Troop Transport, and Sentinel-class landing craft. The Rebel Alliance used UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft to transport rebel troops into battle.[1]

The First Order made widespread use of the AAL-1971/9.1 Troop Transport to ferry its stormtroopers from orbital ships to other ships, stations and planetary surfaces in their subjugation of the Unknown Regions and throughout their campaign against the New Republic during and after the Cold War.[3]
The Resistance made use of the Resistance transport[4] and the YC-123B transport hauler[5] for troop transport during various operations during the same period.[4][5]
