In spite of the Lucasfilm Story Group's announcement that licensed material published after April 25, 2014, should be deemed canon, Story Group creative executive Pablo Hidalgo has implied that this magazine is an exception. Furthermore, the magazine is not always internally consistent: page 64 states that Kylo Ren founded the Knights of Ren, while page 8 correctly[4] states he joined the Knights.
