Plot summary

The lost droid

The episode opens with Jedi younglings Lys Solay, Nubs and Kai Brightstar exiting Hap's Sap Tap after enjoying a meal of Mossberry Biscuits. A small droid runs past them and collides with an Ardennian before crashing into a box of purple fruits. Brightstar and his friends attend to the droid, who says that he cannot remember what it was doing. The droid introduces himself as MB-4. Brightstar inspects the droid's scorched head and assesses that its memory circuit has been damaged. He offers to help repair the droid while Nubs and Solay back him up.

When Solay offers to help MB-4 get home, the droid says that he cannot remember where it is. Brightstar asks the droid why he was in a big rush. MB-4 recalls that he was being pursued by a thief. Shortly later, Emmett arrives on a hoverbike and attempts to snatch MB-4. Brightstar pulls him out of the way, causing Emmett to crash his bike into a pile of boxes. Solay recognizes Emmett as the thief who tried to steal the Tenoo Jedi Temple's dunnels. Emmett admits to the attempted theft and announces his intention to take MB-4.

Brightstar and his friends flee with MB-4 through the streets of Kublop Springs. Solay proposes getting out of town while Brightstar suggests losing him in town. The three Jedi younglings and MB-4 depart on speeder bikes with Emmett following on his hoverbike. The trio race through the packed streets, dodging pedestrians and clothes lines. Solay is splattered by mossberries and Nubs is briefly covered by a sheet. Nubs tosses the sheet off into the path of Emmett, who collides with a landspeeder. The landspeeder driver berates Emmett, who tells him to watch where he is going.

Forest flight

Emmett's associates Chipp and Z-3OR contact him via holoprojector. Emmett tells them that he has not captured the droid yet but will need his help in dealing with some Jedi kids. The Jedi younglings take their speeder bikes and MB-4 into the Tenoo tree forest. Solay is alright but is splattered with mossberries. Nubs also complaints in Poobian, prompting Brightstar to apologize. After coming to a stop near a river, Brightstar and Solay ask MB-4 if he can remember where he can live. The river does not joggle MB-4's memories but he recalls that they live by the forest.

Gazing at the waterfall, MB-4 recalls that his home is near a tall tree that has three waterfalls. Nubs thinks that MB-4 lives in Conjyym Valley while Solay translates. Not knowing the way, Nubs climbs up a Tenoo tree to have a look at the surroundings. Solay and Brightstar follow with the latter giving MB-4 a piggy back ride. Meanwhile, Emmett and his associates enter the forest on their hoverbikes. Emmett studies the forest with a pair of macrobinoculars. Emmett is frustrated with Chipp but Z-3OR senses a commotion in a nearby Tenoo tree. The three descend into the forest.

Elsewhere, the Jedi younglings and MB-4 reach the canopy of the Tenoo tree. MB-4 and the younglings spot the tall three with the three waterfalls in the distance. However, Emmett and his gang catch up with them. Against Brightstar's warnings, Nubs charges at the bandits with his lightsaber. Emmett however uses his rope gun to bind him in a rope trap. Solay charges forward with her lightsaber but is also trapped by Emmett. Brightstar charges at Emmett but is also trapped and restrained. While MB-4 attempts to free the Jedi, Emmett mocks the Jedi and reveals that he wants MB-4 because he belongs to a prospector who owns gem mines. MB-4 knows the location of every mine on Tenoo.

Chipp adds that the gems from one mine will make them wealthy. As the bandits chuckle, Solay reveals that MB-4 experienced an accident while they were chasing him. Solay tells him that his memory is not working right. When MB-4 claims that he cannot remember, Emmett says that they will take him back to camp to coerce him into remembering.

Rescuing MB-4

After Emmett's gang leaves with MB-4, Brightstar asks why they were not working like a team. Solay explains that they have been so focused on getting MB-4 home that they were not listening to each other. Nubs agrees. Brightstar says his friends are right and asks for ideas on rescuing MB-4. Solay manages to free one of her hands which she uses to untie Nubs from his ropes. Nubs frees Solay, who frees Brightstar. Seeing Emmett and his gang leaving on hoverbikes, Nubs proposes cutting them off by going through the forest. The three Jedi head towards their speeder bikes.

Later, Emmett gloats about his victory as they head back to camp. However, the three bandits soon find the three Jedi younglings blocking their path. When Emmett asks how they got there, Brightstar demands they return MB-4. Emmett and his gang retreat into the forest but argue about which way to go. Emmett and Chipp bang their hoverbikes against each other. With Chipp and Z-30R blocking Brightstar's speeder bike, Brightstar tasks Solay and Nubs with distracting the two bandits and clear a path for him. Nubs and Solay tail Emmett's accomplices while Brightstar pursues Emmett. MB-4 jumps into Brightstar's speeder bike at his signal. Emmett crashes his hoverbike into a tree and falls into the river. Chipp and Z-30R give chase and attempt to grab MB-4. However, they grab each other instead and crash into the river. The three bandits cling onto a log, with Emmett cursing their misfortune.

MB-4's homecoming

MB-4 thanks the Jedi younglings for saving him. The Jedi younglings bring him home to his master, the prospector Freet Chaddio. MB-4 asks if Chaddio is his master. Chaddio reassures his droid that he is the master and asks if MB-4 is alright. Solay explains that MB-4 had an accident in Kublop Springs and that his memory circuit needs to be repaired. Chaddio embraces MB-4 and introduces himself to the Jedi younglings. He asks the Jedi if he can repay them for rescuing his droid. Nubs speaks to Brightstar in Poobian. Brightstar asks for permission to see Chaddio's mines. Chaddio grants permission for the younglings to view one of his mines.
