Plot summary

The dig site

The episode opens with the Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, Nubs and the explorer droid 0G-LC riding on three dunnels through a forest on Tenoo. OG-LC rides with Nubs and remarks that the dunnels are fast. Brightstar says that the dunnels will help them reach the fossil dig site fast while Solay says that seeing fossils of extinct animals will be amazing. Solay thanks OG-LC, who says that the fossils will be invaluable to studying the history of Tenoo.

Consulting a datapad, OG-LC briefs the younglings about a raka, an ancient creature which used its claws to climb the tallest trees on Tenoo. Brightstar expresses eagerness and they gallop towards the dig site. At the dig site, Brightstar sees several pits that have been fenced off. Brightstar is underwhelmed by the dig site but OG-LC reassures him that they are going to see raka skeletons. He briefs the Jedi younglings on how to work in a dig site. He uses a brush to dust soil and dirt off a skeleton. Solay and Nubs express eagerness but Brightstar expresses impatience at the slow pace of excavation.

The unscrupulous entrepreneur

He spots two four-legged droids with frontal scoops, which begin flattening the ground and knocking down the fences. OG-LC tells the droids to stop and explains that they will damage the fossils. Solay joins OG-LC in reiterating the message to the droids. Speaking in Binary, the droids ignore them and continue shoveling and pummeling the ground. At Solay's suggestion, the younglings decide to restrain the two droids. Brightstar jumps on top of a droid's shovel while Nubs turns it off. OG-LC and Solay work together to disable the second scoop droid. Some dirt lands on OG-LC.

While OG-LC thanks Solay, they are interrupted by the businessman Ozon Nimbee, who is familiar with the younglings. Solay says that he likes to "build bigger and better things" where they don't belong. Nimbee expresses disagreement and reveals his plans to turn the "worthless bit of land" into something lucrative. OG-LC and Solay express disagreement, saying that this is a fossil site of historical importance. Nimbee thinks this is boring and presents a title deed on a datapad claiming ownership over the dig site.

Nimbee explains that his droids were going to level the site before he could start building. Nubs protests but Brightstar proposes a compromise between the two parties. Nimbee tells the younglings and OG-LC that he plans to turn the dig site into a beautiful resort attracting tourists to Tenoo for luxury and natural beauty. He says he wants to make something for everyone to enjoy. Brightstar is open to Nimbee's plan but Solay and OG-LC expressed concern that the resort will damage the fossils, causing precious pieces of Tenoo's history to be lost.

Escaping the pit

When Nimbee asks if a lizard is going to derail his resort plans, OG-LC explains that the dig site is littered with countless fossils waiting to be discovered. OG-LC shows Nimbee and the younglings a set of raka skeletons he has been working on excavating. Nimbee reluctantly agrees to let them continue. The younglings and OG-LC use ropes to abseil down a pit where OG-LC has been excavating a raka skeleton covered beneath tarpaulin. While the Jedi younglings are amazed at the raka skeleton, Nimbee is bored. Solay attempts to convince Nimbee but he cuts their ropes and ascends back to the surface.

On the surface, Nimbee reveals that he plans to trap the four of them inside their excavation pit so that his droids can continue leveling the site without interference. OG-LC panics that Nimbee will destroy the dig site. Brightstar apologizes for not appreciate Nimbee's hard work in excavating the skeleton. Solay has an idea and proposes climbing out of the pit. When Brightstar points out that they do not have claws like a raka, Solay proposes that they use their training lightsabers to climb out of the pit. The younglings climb out of the pit with OG-LC piggy-backing on Nubs.

Fighting back

Nimbee soon returns with a bulldozer equipped with two large arms. The two scoop droids flank the bulldozer. Nimbee tasks the droids with filling the smaller holes while he deals with the big one. Nimbee clamps the bulldozer's arm around a mound of dirt and bulldozes it into one of the pit. The droids begin flattening the ground. OG-LC expresses alarm that Nimbee and his droids will destroy the fossils. Solay says she and Brightstar will handle the bulldozer while OG-LC and Nubs tackle the droids. Nubs expresses agreement in Poobian.

He jumps on a droid while OG-LC deals with the second droid. Nimbee orders one of his droid to deal with OG-LC, labeling him a rust bucket. Brightstar gives Solay a lift into the air using the Force. Solay lands outside the windscreen of the bulldozer and tells Nimbee that the fossils and Tenoo's history are more important than his resort. She pleads with Nimbee to stop but he instead uses the bulldozer's arms to try and hit Solay. She dodges out of the way and clings onto the left arm. Brightstar leaps onto the second arm. The bulldozers approach the droids and the others.

As the bulldozer approaches a pit, Nimbee attempts to convince Brightstar about his resort plan but Brightstar is unmoved. Spotting a large rock, Brightstar jumps from the bulldozer and grabs it. He then hurls the rock into the bulldozer's roller wheel, causing Nimbee to lose control of his vehicle. The bulldozer rolls towards the raka's pit. Solay manages to jump out of the pit before the bulldozer falls inside, barely missing the raka skeleton. Nimbee is left clinging to the edge of the pit.

After climbing out of the pit, Nimbee is distraught that his resort plans have been halted. Brightstar tells Nimbee that he has lost and that the dig site will be preserved for historical reasons. Nubs and OG-LC, who have disabled the two scoop droids, express agreement. Nimbee concedes defeat but refuses to clean up his mess. He departs in his starship while the Jedi younglings celebrate. OG-LC is worried about the clean up but Brightstar convinces OG-LC to repurpose Nimbee's abandoned scoop droids for repairing the fences. Brightstar and his friends uncover a skeleton and alert OG-LC while the scoop droids clean up the site.
