Plot summary
The episode opens with Taborr Val-Dorn and his pirate gang associates, EB-3 and Pord, robbing the Kublop Springs marketplace. Val Dorn and his associates terrorize a Nautolan shopkeeper and load their stolen fruit into a cart. Before they can leave, the pirates are confronted by the Jedi Initiates Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs. Val Dorn grumbles that the Jedi are always stealing the fun. Brightstar responds that there is nothing fun about stealing from others while Solay says that he is going to give it all back. Nubs mumbles in agreement.
Val Dorn uses an energy emitter on his arm to push the Jedi back. In response, the Jedi use their Force powers to snatch the pirates' cart. Val Dorn sends EB-3 to retrieve the cart and Pord to harry the Jedi. While EB-3 engages in a tug of war with the Jedi, Pord manages to strike Nubs in the head with her battle axe. However, Solay uses the Force to push him to the ground. Alone, Brightstar lacks the strength to retrieve the cart. While EB-3 runs away with card, Val Dorn fights Brightstar with his electrostaff.
Brightstar attempts to hold back Val Dorn with his lightsaber but is distracted while trying to communicate with Solay and Nubs. Val Dorn uses his energy emitter to throw Brightstar into his Jedi friends. Val Dorn taunts that the Jedi as failures before leaving with Pord. Nubs is upset, but Brightstar reassures him that Jedi never give up and resolves that they will retrieve the car together.
Pursuing the pirates back to the Iron Talon, the three Jedi use their Force powers to pull the cart. EB-3 and Pord attempt to hold on to the cart as the docking ramp closes, but the Jedi prevail. While Taborr flies the ship, EB-3 tells their leader that the Jedi got their cart back. Taborr is enraged and accidentally hits the lateral controls on the dashboard, causing their ship to momentarily spin out of control. Taborr decides to retreat empty-headed.
Back at the marketplace, the Nautolan shopkeeper thanks the Jedi for retrieving his stolen goods. Brightstar replies that it is always a pleasure to help especially with his friends. Nubs hugs Brightstar and Solay, prompting Brightstar to warn that he is hugging them too tightly.
