Opening crawl

REVELATIONS
It is a time of great struggle throughout the
galaxy as heroes and villains battle for its
control. Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Lando
Calrissian, and the Rebel Alliance work to
thwart the Galactic Empire's stranglehold on
countless worlds, while the evil lord Darth
Vader hunts for those who stand against the
Empire.

Vader's efforts are aided by Sabé—a former
handmaiden of his lost love, Padmé Amidala—
and Beilert Valance, who has been conscripted
by Vader to fight on the side of the Empire.
While Sabé's true allegiances remain a
mystery, Valance finds himself on a collision
course against his former partner T'onga and
her crew of bounty hunters.

But the most dangerous conflagration is the
one planned by Lady Qi'ra, leader of the
Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate, who is plotting
an ambitious offensive aimed at destroying the
Sith and wrenching power from the hands of
the Empire. Unbeknownst to Qi'ra, however,
her plan is destined to collide with the Spark
Eternal, an archaic technology that grants
users Sith-like powers…and has taken control
of archaeologist Doctor Chelli Aphra.

All of these seemingly disparate threads are
actually woven into a singular tapestry, one
which only the mysterious EYE OF WEBBISH
BOG can see….

Plot summary

Meeting With The Eye

"Can you see my pain?"
"I see your pain. Caring about it is another matter.
"
―The Eye of Webbish Bog and Darth Vader[2]

On the planet Mustafar, the Eye of Webbish Bog calls to Darth Vader through The Force. Meeting with The Eye, he asks Vader what he sees. The Eye shows him the Handmaidens, standing against the dark lord, but also Sabé becoming a servant of the Galactic Empire aboard the Second Death Star. The Eye explains that these visions are of the future, presented to him by the Dark Side, but they are all potential futures. Vader sees back to a mission on Golatha, during the Clone Wars, where himself (as Anakin Skywalker) fought alongside Jedi Master Yoda and the 326th Clone Battalion, before being ambushed by several Battle droids. Unamused by the riddles of the Eye of Webbish Bog, Vader begins to leave the Sirroning, but is lured back in by another potential future.

Visions of the Future

"The Fermata Cage was a trap created by an Ancient Sith Lord. You know his name, in fact. He designed your fortress. The cage was used to set people, even places, outside time. They could then be recalled to the now as if no time had passed. There would be no greater threat to us. To what we have built together."
―Darth Sidious to Darth Vader[2]

On Kligson's Moon, the droid Ajax Sigma was constructed and dared to lead a droid uprising for freedom. However, Jedi of the High Republic were sent and struck down the droid. However, his Neural core was preserved and passed down hand to hand, until landing in the hands of Han Solo and Chewbacca. Han and Chewbacca bury the Neural Core, but in time, a droid would find and dig up the core to return to his followers on Mechis III. Ajax Sigma's followers construct a new body for the droid to spread his freedom once more. Meanwhile, the Spark Eternal continues to possess the body of Doctor Chelli Aphra, but in response, she has devised a plan to control that which controls her. Fed up with the visions, Vader grows inpatient and throws his lightsaber at The Eye, but the powerful creature stops the weapon and returns it to Vader. The Eye tells Vader that the Spark Eternal has an intertwined fate with the lost Fermata Cage.

In the future vision, Vader meets with Darth Sidious, noticeably having damaged his helmet, informing his apprentice that Qi'ra has reported to have found the Fermata Cage. Fearful of what this could bring, Vader is tasked with retrieving the device and let nothing stand in his way. Later in time, Vader once again communes with Darth Sidious about the Fermata Cage on his Star Destroyer, the Executor. Sidious explains that the device was created by the same Ancient Sith Lord who designed Vader's fortress, and has the abilities to set people in time and bring them to the present. In a different vision, Vader meets with Lieutenant Jyala Haydenn to discuss the permanent termination of cyborg Beilert Valance, since he has become a significant liability to the Dark Lord. He requests the best trackers available to the Empire. Haydenn puts in a request for the infamous Inferno Squad to complete Lord Vader's request. Meanwhile, on the Edgehawk, Valance is fighting with 4-LOM and Zuckuss, who appears to be blasted by the cyborg. Bossk attempts to subdue the cyborg, but is swiftly thwarted away. T'onga approaches Valance unarmed, attempting to communicate with the supposedly mind controlled cyborg.

Elsewhere, Luke Skywalker feels a disturbance in the Force, explaining to Leia Organa that the feeling was similar to when Alderaan was destroyed. Aboard the Millennium Falcon, Luke directs Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca to the location of an undocumented planet. Discovering a battlefield littered with the corpses of droids and the remains of a broken lightsaber. Suspecting that the droids were the results of a battle during the Clone Wars, R2-D2 and C-3PO disregard this theory since they hold no record of it. The battle, which took place one hundred years ago, instead was between droids and people, who have since decayed, but this tragedy was not what Luke sensed, leading them to an old Homesteader ship. Inside the ship, Luke and Lando discover several bodies, appearing to have been slaughtered. R2-D2 connects into the Homesteader and discovers that this is Kligson's Moon that had been abandoned for many years. The group decide it best to split up and search in pairs to cover more ground. Luke is confronted by Ajax Sigma who returned to the planet to retrieve something for himself, Luke does not believe that the people aboard the Homesteader would attack a droid, he ignites his lightsaber to force Ajax to answer for the massacre he created. Fighting with Skywalker, Sigma is damaged and refuses to surrender to the Jedi. He escapes the Homesteader in an escape pod.

Always in Motion

"This Scourge comes for the entire Galaxy. Even Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith, is part of the Galaxy."
―The Eye of Webbish Bog to Darth Vader[2]

The Eye explains these revelations to be warnings of the end of the Force and everything, but the Sirroning's mind is clouded by pain. Vader sees a canister poisoning the eye, and is suddenly attacked by Mustafarians. Vader easily defeats the majority of them, before having his helmet struck by another. The Dark Lord uses the Force to lower the attacker into the lava surrounding them. The Eye concludes this meeting, telling Vader that the scourge will come for the entire galaxy and bring about the end of everything he knows. Later, Vader returns to his castle and meets with his Master, Darth Sidious, experiencing events similar to a vision The Eye of Webbish Bog showed him. Sidious informs him that Lady Qi'ra of the Crimson Dawn has discovered the lost Fermata Cage, he wants his Apprentice to bring it to him and let nothing stand in his way.
