Helping us complete the Coordinate Challenge is easy!

Refer to the above map to find a square for which we currently lack either a Featured Article or Good Article. Note the coordinates.
Check the list below.
- If you see that particular set of coordinates, pick one of the species listed and write it up. Go to #8 below.
- If you don't see your chosen square below, read on.
Search for those coordinates on The Essential Atlas Online Companion: [1].
For any match you find, look up that planet here on Wookieepedia.
- Some matches may not have an article here, so you may have to search for the "[Match name] system" instead of just "[Match name]".
- If you find an article sourced exclusively to the Atlas or Atlas Online Companion, or if you don't get a hit for either "[Match name]" or "[Match name] system," try The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia; very few new systems are introduced in the Atlas, so any system or world article sourced exclusively to the Atlas or the Atlas Online Companion indicates Wookieepedia's coverage is incomplete on that system or world!
In these articles, note any sentient species native to the worlds you've located.
- If there are no sentient species native to any of these worlds, add a gray X to the map above to let others know that that set of coordinates should not be considered as part of the challenge.
You should now have a list of all species whose homeworlds fall within the grid coordinates you selected.
Pick one and write it up!
Nominate your article for Featured, Good, or Comprehensive status (as dictated by its length).
Once it passes, add the appropriate map point to the map at the coordinates you originally selected.
- Featured Articles receive a yellow star map point.
- Good Articles receive a green check map point.
- Comprehensive Articles receive a red aurebesh map point.
- For squares with more than one article, list all, using the map point of the highest-level article (FA taking precedence over GA, and GA taking precedence over CA). In such cases, note Good Articles in (parentheses) and Comprehensive Articles in *asterisks*.

Below are listed all the grids that contain homeworlds of sentient species. Grid references marked in bold currently satisfy Phase I of this project, namely containing either a Good article or a Featured article (or, in one instance, the sole relevant species is a Comprehensive article). Those grid references that list species have been comprehensively checked, based on the Wookieepedia. Please feel free to check the remaining grids. Current grid coverage is just over 120 out of approximately 235; around 51%.

Editors may optionally indicate their current works in progress on the list below.

Do this by adding a {{C|User name}} template next to the name of the alien species you are working on, listed below.
As a courtesy to other editors, you may wish to fully explore any grid squares on which your works in progress appear to list the other species that share that square.
If you choose not to do this, please add a notation on those lines to warn other editors: {{C|Coordinates not fully searched}}
