- "I know that long before your people arrived the Vagaari came to our worlds, conquering and destroying and taking everything of value to themselves. They used us as laborers and craftspeople and slaves. They sent us into unsafe mines and dangerous mountains, and forced us to walk before them on warfields that we might die instead of them."
- ―Supreme Commander Estosh, posing as a Geroon, to Dean Jinzler
The Geroon were a sentient species hailed from the epynomous Unknown Regions planet. They were captured and enslaved by the Vagaari species[1] in 27 BBY.[3] Around nine Geroons were killed by B1-Series and droideka battle droids under the directive of the Vagaari leader, the Miskara, and many of them imprisoned within zero-g plastic bubbles on the Vagaari fleet's hulls. They were freed by the Chiss species and their government, the Chiss Ascendancy, after the Chiss defeated the Vagaari. Ascendancy Admiral Ar'alani provided foodstuff to the Geroons aboard a transport.[1]
Around 18 BBY,[4] a Geroon was acquainted with the Cathar Sele,[5] and in 22 ABY,[6] several Vagaari—including Supreme Commander Estosh, General Bearsh and Purpsh—posed as Geroons to infiltrate the Chiss expedition to the remains of Outbound Flight colony starship. Many of the expedition's members did not notice the deception, but Ascendancy Aristocra Formbi knew that and let them accompany his party to begin a war against the slavers. The Vagaari were eventually defeated by Jedi Knight Mara Jade and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.[2]
