- "Ah. The Junkers. Junkers. Strange folk."
- ―Morley
The Junkers were a species that lived on the junk planet of Lotho Minor. They inhabited the planet Lotho Minor for centuries, and were armed with usually a blaster rifle or anything that was "salvageable."
Biology and appearance
Junkers appeared to be a strange hybrid of organic life and mechanical debris. They augmented their strange and twisted bodies with cybernetic enhancements.[2]
Society and culture
Mysterious denizens,[3] Junkers were wandering scavengers clad in metal.[4] Somehow surviving on their garbage dump world,[5] they lived off the scrap found on the planet's surface.[2] They were fiercely territorial,[6] attacking whoever entered their domain.[1]
History
No one was quite sure of the origins of the mysterious natives of Lotho Minor, as the planet's role as a galactic dumping ground didn't encourage any deep exploration of Junker culture or biology, nor has their violent territoriality.[2] The origin of these bizarre nomads was one of the galaxy's many mysteries.[4] They had lived on Lotho Minor for so long that it was impossible to tell where their bodies ended and where the refuse began.[2]
Savage Opress fights the herd of Junkers on Lotho Minor, while searching for his brother.
In 20 BBY[7] a tribe of Junkers ambushed Morley and Savage Opress, but failed after Savage and Morley defeated them and forced the remaining to retreat. There were also dead Junkers hung in Darth Maul's lair.[1]
In 2 ABY beings known as "junkers" were present on an artificial Ship graveyard planetoid attempting to salvage the damaged luxury liner Reverie.[8]
