Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This insectoid species were native to the planet Thrakia which was located in the Hapes Cluster.

These insectoids could trade their memories genetically between each other. At some point several hundred years before[1] 8 ABY[2] the species could only communicate via a system of meaningful pheromones, but they acquired the ability to speak to one another through mandible clicking. Over the course of three hundreds years, they remained fascinated and overjoyed that they could perform this feat. They took it as a sign that they had been blessed by a higher being.[1]
