The Riorians[4] were an insect-like species. One named[1] Loje Nella[5] was present during a performance by the Max Rebo Band at Jabba's Palace in 4 ABY.[1]

Behind the scenes

Riorians were originally created for the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[1] The one who appeared in that film was portrayed via a puppet[6] operated by Mike Quinn[7] and given the production nickname "Toadstool Terror" by the creature creators of the Industrial Light & Magic Monster Shop.[6]
