The Okfili were a sentient species. During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance,[1] they were allied with the Alliance.[2] At some point by that time, an art object of great religious significance to the Okfili was stolen from them, coming into the possession of a group of pirates based on[1] the Mid Rim[3] planet Sayblohn.[1] The Okfili requested that the Alliance find the art object, to which end a Rebel special operative team was sent to Sayblohn to retrieve the artifact.[2]

The Rebel team ultimately succeeded in its task.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Okfili were introduced in the 1987 rulebook for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1] They shared their name with the Okfili system of[4] the Outer Rim Territories' Albarrio sector[5] that was introduced in Glen Allison's article "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," which was published in the 1990 thirteenth issue of the Voyages SF magazine.[4] The article is considered noncanonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[6]
