Bomodon was a terrestrial planet[3] located in the Bomodon system, a part of the Churba sector[1] in the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was the homeworld of[5] the sentient Bomodon species.[4]

During the early stages of the Great Galactic War, which began in 3681 BBY, the reconstituted Sith Empire occupied Bomodon. The Strategic Information Service of the Galactic Republic embedded the agent Marcus Trant, for whom it was first documented field service, on Bomodon at some point by 3674 BBY, and that year, the Imperial military forces also shot down on the planet a Republic 45th Infantry Division platoon under the command of Lieutenant Elin Garza. With assistance from Trant, Garza and the surviving soldiers of her stranded platoon avoided capture and, for ten subsequent months, waged a relentless improvised guerilla campaign that culminated in the liberation of Bomodon from Imperial control.[3]

Behind the scenes

Bomodon was introduced in the 2012 reference book Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Bomodon system, and therefore the planet, in grid square O-15.[2]
