Publisher's summary

Located between the Expansion Region and the Outer Rim, the Mid Rim was a relatively sparsely populated region and less rich in raw materials than any other surrounding galactic region. Moreover, it could not enjoy the relative freedom of the Outer Rim because of its location and size. As a result, its inhabitants were often forced to work hard to survive. The area did, however, have some places that were perfect for criminals to hide. One such place was Takodana, where Maz Kanata lived. The Hutts controlled much of the area during the Galactic Civil War. The Mid Rim was also home to planets with deep spiritual roots, like Jedha. Finally, its edges included Kashyyyk, the homeworld of the brave Wookiees, which was the scene of pivotal events during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War.^[2]
