Kinyen was an agriworld[4] located in the Kinyen system in the Bes Ber Bikade sector of the Expansion Region,[1] on a junction with the Corellian Trade Spine and the Great Gran Run.[3] It was the original homeworld of the Gran species.[6] Malastare , which was colonized by Gran hundreds of years before the Imperial Era,[9] was also considered a homeworld of the Gran.[6]
Kinyen was the homeworld of the Gran senators Philo and Kharrus, who represented Kinyen in the Galactic Republic Senate during the Clone Wars.[6]
Description
The planet was notable for its many peaceful farming settlements, such as the Kemalo Farming Cluster.[4] Their bountiful produce was sold and distributed to many parts of the galaxy, including Batuu.[7]
