Kahiyuk was an area of the Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk,[1] a planet located in the Mytaranor sector of the Mid Rim.[2] The Wookiee Army that fought alongside the Galactic Republic to defend the city of Kachirho on the Wawaatt Archipelago from the Separatist Droid Army during the Battle of Kashyyyk during the Clone Wars[1] in 19 BBY[3] contained volunteers from Kahiyuk.[1]
Behind the scenes
Kahiyuk was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the third issue of De Agostini's Star Wars Bust Collection magazine series, which was published in 2021.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the city of Kahiyuk was first mentioned in a Databank entry on StarWars.com for the character Tarkov.[4]
