"Starships of the Empire and the Rebellion" is a volume in the Star Wars Encyclopedia series of reference books published by De Agostini. It was published on October 12, 2021.[1]
Publisher's summary
The Galactic Empire was able to dominate the galaxy in part because of its large and technically sophisticated fleet. No opponent in the galaxy could match its Star Destroyers. The Rebel Alliance, on the other hand, had far less access to military vessels, though they quickly learned to reuse anything they could get their hands on, and even steal ships from the Empire. Nonetheless, the Galactic Civil War was always a completely unbalanced conflict between the two opposing sides, especially as the Empire continued to expand and diversify its fleet with new, better-armed and more advanced ships. The adversaries pushed their resources to the limit in a conflict that had a completely unexpected outcome.[2]
