Marina Rung flowers were a type of pink flowering plant with a green stem found on the jungle moon Wasskah, where they grew amongst the rancor bramble forests,[1] both on the ground and on the branches of the brambles themselves.[2] The flowers were edible, and made up part of the primate momongs' varied diet.[1]
During the Clone Wars, Padawan Ahsoka Tano was captured and brought to Wasskah to be hunted by Garnac's hunting guild. Garnac's son Dar tried to kill Ahsoka, but she pushed him out of a tree, where Dar fell and was impaled by a spike near a marina rung flower, killing him.[2]
Behind the scenes
Marina Rung flowers appeared in "Padawan Lost,"[2] the twenty-first episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series' third season, which aired on April 1, 2011.[3] The plant was first identified in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.[1]
