THE INVASION OF SYRINX PRIME
It is a time of relative contentment. While Supreme Chancellor Valorum and the Galactic Senate

across the stars.

However, there is still conflict in the galaxy. Centuries of distrust and tension between the Outer Rim
worlds of VEKURA and SYRINX PRIME have broken out into open warfare with Vekura's invasion of
Syrinx Prime.

In response to the crisis, Chancellor Valorum has dispatched a contingent of Jedi Knights to bring about
an end to the fighting….

Plot summary

"Yes. A powerful skill the ability to see the future is. But the future is like water, always flowing, forever changing."
―Yoda, to Obi-Wan Kenobi[3]

On Syrinx Prime, Jedi Master Yoda, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Vetna Mooncrest, and Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi defend the planet from an invasion from the planet Vekura. Meanwhile, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Jedi Knight Berem Khana are negotiating with General Lafco on the planet Vekura. Lafco is reluctant to remove the troops he has sent to Syrinx Prime, which unsettles Berem. Unhappy with this, he tries to use a Mind trick on the general, which does not affect him. Unhappy with this, the General ignores the wishes of the Supreme Chancellor and decrees that nothing will prevent them from bringing Syrinx Prime to its knees. Back on Syrinx Prime, Jedi Master Adi Gallia and Jedi Knight Seera Longa have taken a detour from the raging battle by Master Yoda's request. While continuing the detour, the two Jedi discover what looks like a prison. Unsure of what secret is being kept there, the two Jedi infiltrate the prison to help further piece the puzzle together. Back on Vekura, Qui-Gon and Berem are returning to their T-6 shuttle to further discuss the ongoing conflict with the Jedi Council. While walking back, the two Jedi are attacked by a masked assassin. They briefly fight before the assassin is pinned against the wall to be interrogated. While trying to get answers from the assassin, the masked man explodes a smoke bomb and escapes the grasp of the two Jedi.

The Jedi reunite on Syrinx Prime as a collective council to discuss the situation and the events they have just experienced. Adi Gallia reveals that the prison camp was holding several captives from Vekura, Seera Longa suggests that instead of an invasion, this was a rescue mission intended to return the captives. With the mission to still bring peace to the two planets, the Jedi plan to persuade the two into negotiating by showing them it is in their best interests. The Jedi divide up into groups, the group led by Qui Gon are sent to Vekura with the intentions to eliminate their abilities to wage war on Syrinx Prime. Whereas the other group, led by Shaak Ti, remains on Syrinx, and bring Thermal detonator to a Syrinxian Weapon Forge. Master Yoda meets with the President of the Syrinx explaining that the people in the camp are prisoners of war, although the prisoners are primarily women, children and older Verukans. Master Windu alternatively meets with General Lafoc on Vekura who continues to be reserved on the reasons for his invasion, and suggests that it is custom not to share this information with outsiders. With the two leaders not cooperating with the two masters, they reveal that the other Jedi are attacking the shipyards and weapons forges, preventing one side from waging war and the other from defending against the war. At a stalemate, both parties agree to negotiate and ultimately resolve the conflict, bringing peace to the two planets.

Back on Coruscant, Berem Khana meets with Qui-Gon while Obi-Wan is training with Master Yoda. Upon further investigation, Berem believes that the assassin was only targetting Qui-Gon and discovered a microburst transceiver within a torn off piece of Qui-Gon's robes, the Jedi are left wondering who would want to kill Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-Wan trains with Yoda, learning the ability to see into the future. Yoda warns Obi-Wan that using this ability isn't always reliable and that the future is always changing. Obi-Wan sees a range of potential futures, breaking his concentration and returning to the present. Unsettled by the events he saw, he confides in Master Yoda that he saw a future where Qui-Gon is killed by a masked figure in combat.
