The invasion of Syrinx Prime was an attack that led to open warfare between the Outer Rim worlds of Vekura and Syrinx Prime following centuries of distrust and tension between the neighboring cultures of the Vekurans and Syrinxians. In the middle of the crisis, Supreme Chancellor Valorum of the Galactic Republic sent a group of Jedi to stop the conflict. While the Jedi Yoda, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Vetna Mooncrest and Obi-Wan Kenobi tried to thwart the first attack on Syrinx Prime, Qui-Gon Jinn and Berem Khana tried to unsuccessfully negotiate with the Vekuran General Lafco, while Adi Gallia and Seera Longa found a large prison camp of Vekurans on Syrinx Prime. After the meeting with General Lafco, Master Jinn became the victim of a seemingly unrelated murder attempt by a masked assassin, who after having failed, fled the scene. After a discussion of the High Council was held, the Jedi came to believe that both worlds were guilty and decided to sabotage the Vekuran shipyards and Syrinxian weapons forge to push them to push General Lafco and President Hoss into negotiating a truce.^[1]
