"Long the journey to Veeros was, might you have something for us to drink?"
"My apologies. I let my excitement override my hospitality programming."
―Yoda and Blue-Tark[1]

Veeros was a remote moon whose sole inhabitant and ruler was Atha Prime during the Republic Era. He was attended by an army of loyal droid attendants, including his majordomo Blue-Tark, and lived in a palace surrounded by bio-fields, which were renowned offworld and produced a annual crop yield. In secret, Prime also conducted dark experiments to create a horde of xerexi to use against what he percieved as the ills of the galaxy.[1]

At some point between 40 BBY and 32 BBY,[2] the Jedi Yoda and Vetna Mooncrest were dispatched to investigate reports of the experiments happening on the moon. Traveling in a Galactic Republic Consular-class space cruiser, the Jedi arrived at the palace and were greeted by Blue-Tark, who showed them the bio-fields. Suspecting that more was being hidden from them, the Jedi left, but returned on the south side of the palace several hours later with their approach hidden by solar activity. Infiltrating the palace, the pair then found the xerexi and fought them and then Atha Prime himself, although the latter escaped on a starship. Other Jedi then arrived on the moon to eliminate the remaining xerexi and Yoda and Mooncrest left in their cruiser.[1]

  2. The events of Star Wars: Jedi Knights take place during the time Finis Valorum is Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. As Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy establishes that the Supreme Chancellor served four-year terms, and the flashback section of Tarkin which mentions of Valorum's re-election is dated to 36 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines, Valorum must have served as Chancellor beginning in 40 BBY. Timelines also dates the end of Valorum's time as Chancellor to 32 BBY, therefore meaning Jedi Knights must take place between those two years.
