"There it is, Master. The transponder signal from Senator Organa's ship."
"Set us down next to it, Obi-Wan. We'll transfer the senator and his staff to our shuttle. But be mindful. This is an uncharted world and we have no sense of what dangers it may hold…"
―Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn[1]

Burantia,[2] known as Planet WG4587, was a terrestrial planet with mountainous forests where indiginous kaijura lived. It remained uncharted until the CR70 corvette of Galactic Republic Senator Bail Organa crashed there[1] between 40 BBY and 32 BBY.[3] The Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi were dispatched in a T-6 shuttle to the world to find Organa and his staff, but their ship was destroyed by a kaijura before they could reach the corvette.[1]

The Jedi then escaped the kaijura and found the corvette and its crew, only to learn a pack of kaijura was rapidly approaching. Using the Force, Jinn helped the damaged corvette take off and had its captain,[1] Jeremoch Colton,[4] launch the vessel's escape pods into a kaijura that grabbed them in mid-air. Once the creature let go of the corvette, it was able to depart from Planet WG4587 and return safely home. Kenobi later wrote an after-action report on the mission.[1]

  3. The events of Star Wars: Jedi Knights take place during the time Finis Valorum is Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. As Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy establishes that the Supreme Chancellor served four-year terms, and the flashback section of Tarkin which mentions of Valorum's re-election is dated to 36 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines, Valorum must have served as Chancellor beginning in 40 BBY. Timelines also dates the end of Valorum's time as Chancellor to 32 BBY, therefore meaning Jedi Knights must take place between those two years.
