Plot summary
- "KKRRAAEEEE!!!"
- ―A Kaijura, to Qui-Gon Jinn
Padawan Learner Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn travel to the planet WG4587, a previously uncharted planet, in a T-6 shuttle. They locate the transponder signal for Senator Bail Organa's crashed Corvette and plan to set down the shuttle down next to it. However, during this, the shuttle is attacked by an indigenous lifeform that Qui-Gon names "Kaijura". With the shuttle destroyed, Obi-Wan falls to the forest floor, rendering himself unconscious, whereas Qui-Gon uses his lightsaber against the creature's neck to safely reach Obi-Wan. After some time, the two Jedi reach the CR70 corvette belonging to Senator Organa. Speaking with Organa, the Jedi learn that the ship has the ability to fly, but is unable to take off due to damaged repulsorlifts. Whilst consulting with the Jedi, a staff member of the Corvette informs them that an entire pack of kaijura is closing in on their location. With time running out, Qui-Gon requests the ship's captain to give the repulsorlifts as much power as possible, and he would use the Force to do the rest. However, while lifting off, one of the creatures grasps the escaping Corvette, preventing their escape. Master Qui-Gon orders all weapons to fire on the creature, but the captain explains that the weapons were destroyed in the crash landing. As a final resort, Qui-Gon orders all the escape pods to be launched, hitting the creature, and releasing the ship, allowing them to escape.
