Plot summary
In the mess hall of the Mako-Ta Base, Han, Luke, and Chewbacca are relaxing when Han tries to convince Luke to try a strong drink. Luke, having a bad memory of his last drinking experience, just wants milk. When someone puts a hand on his shoulder, Luke instinctively pushes the person away with the Force, only to discover it's his old friend, Wedge Antilles
Meanwhile, Leia is in a meeting with the Rebel High Council. She tells them that Regent Urtya will never lead a mutiny because he is too afraid of Imperial reprisals. She says they need to free King Lee-Char, the true ruler of the Mon Cala, who is currently held in an ultra-high-security Imperial prison. A council member objects that Lee-Char's location is unknown and it would be impossible to free him, but Leia reveals that a new, anonymous contact has given her the location and security codes. She explains that the plan is to kidnap the Imperial Moff of the Calamari sector to use his clearance codes, then extract the king. She adds that there is another valuable asset who is also being held by a group of kidnappers called Dex Acquisitions, who plan to turn him over to the Empire.
At the mess hall, Luke, Han, and Wedge are joined by other pilots, and Luke recites the names of the fallen members of Red Squadron. Leia arrives and tells them to get ready for a mission.
Elsewhere, at the Dex Acquisitions Depot of Meor Ain, the kidnappers are expecting a bounty hunter who is bringing in Princess Leia for a reward. They are shocked when Chewbacca arrives with Leia and immediately attacks. The rebels break in, and Luke uses his lightsaber to cut open a cell. Inside, they find a man who looks exactly like Bail Organa. Leia, knowing her father is dead, punches the man and reveals him to be the shapeshifter Tunga. She warns Tunga to stop his mind games, but he explains he couldn't help but have a little fun.
