The "Heroes of Yavin"[15] was a name given after battle of Yavin[16] to a squad in the Rebel Alliance that was led by Princess Leia Organa during their conflict against the Galactic Empire.[1] Wedge Antilles was considered to be among the Heroes of Yavin by rebel Colonel Chouch.[17]

Behind the scenes

The Heroes of Yavin first appeared in Star Wars (2015) 1, published in 2015.[5] In Star Wars Legends, Leia Organa's small cadre of Rebels was referred to as the "Heroes of Yavin."[18] This name was brought into canon by the 2016 Star Wars Helmet Collection 12.[15] Marvel Comics' first Star Wars (Marvel Comics 1977) series of comics, released from 1977 to 1986, referred to the Heroes of Yavin as "Star Warriors."[19]
