Plot summary
Aboard the stolen Star Destroyer, the stormtroopers of Scar Squadron struggle to slow the ship down, their efforts thwarted by R2-D2, despite C-3PO's doubts about his companion's usefulness. Just as the stormtroopers are being stymied, Sana Starros appears, kicking one stormtrooper and jettisoning the other in an escape pod.
As TIE Fighters and X-Wings rage in a battle outside, Leia Organa and Han Solo discuss their options for getting supplies to the planet. Meanwhile, Darth Vader, from his TIE Fighter, communicates with Sergeant Kreel on the Star Destroyer, asking about Luke Skywalker's location. Vader warns Kreel not to injure his "prize," but Kreel corrects him, claiming he's simply "educating" the young Jedi in a lightsaber duel. Luke, nearly beaten, uses the Force to violently push Kreel away.
Elsewhere on the ship, Han feels a violent shudder. Vader senses Luke's growing strength in the Force and grows concerned when Kreel doesn't respond to his comms. In the engine room, Chewbacca battles a large stormtrooper, ultimately throwing him into a control panel and electrocuting him.
In another part of the ship, Sana Starros fights a stormtrooper who offers her a weapon to even out the fight. She cleverly sabotages his jetpack and drops the floor from underneath him. Luke catches her just in time before letting Leia and Han know the ion cannons are back online. Leia orders all crew members to launch escape pods filled with supplies.
The stormtroopers on the ship message their Sergeant, requesting to move to "Phase 2" of their plan. The Sergeant frees himself with his lightsaber, and the troopers rig the bridge with explosives. Han pulls Leia to safety just before the bombs detonate, and they float in space with oxygen masks, watching as the Harbinger explodes. Just then, Sana Starros and Chewbacca arrive in the Millennium Falcon to pick them up, and R2-D2 jettisons away in an escape pod.
Outside in space, Luke and Darth Vader fly their starfighters toward each other. Luke, however, turns and flies into hyperspace, vowing to be ready for their next meeting. Vader's Scar Squadron reports that they escaped the Harbinger's explosion, but Vader chastises them for their failure. Later, in person, Vader notes that the Rebels successfully broke the siege of Tureen VII, giving the people hope. To prove they didn't fail completely, the troopers present a captured C-3PO to Vader.
