The Harbinger was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer of the Imperial Navy famous for being one of the only Star Destroyers to be hijacked by the Rebel Alliance.

Description

The Harbinger was 1,600 meters long, the standard length for an Imperial-class Star Destroyer. As such, it was initially armed with turbolaser batteries, ion cannons, and several tractor beam projectors.^[7] Before it was hijacked, the Harbinger was upgraded with the removal of its tractor beam targeting array with a communications tower.^[1]^[2]

History

For months after the battle of Yavin, the Star Destroyer was stationed on unknown planet as it carried the TIE fighters.^[1]
