Plot summary
Bevelyn and her family flee the Second Sun facility in a stolen Imperial shuttle, with Commander Sharin's body hidden on board. The shuttle receives a comm from Moff Jerjerrod, who demands to speak with Sharin. Bevelyn impersonates the pilot and claims Sharin is busy sending a report to Coruscant. Her partner quickly points out that the Death Star would be able to see the encrypted transmission. Realizing he has been deceived, Jerjerrod orders TIE fighters to pursue the shuttle.
On the planet Pastil, the rebels receive a transmission from the stolen shuttle. Bevelyn and her partner announce themselves as defectors with high-level classified information, offering to exchange it for safe passage and protection. Lando Calrissian expresses suspicion, believing the offer is too good to be true and likely a trap.
The TIE fighters attack, hitting the shuttle and frightening the children. Bevelyn's partner pilots the damaged ship to the River Moon of Al'doleem, where Commander Sharin was headed. Bevelyn suggests they ditch the shuttle and lie low, but more TIE fighters arrive from the planet's surface. With no other choice, they jump back into hyperspace.
The family lands on Coruscant, a planet with a population of a trillion, hoping to hide in plain sight. They crash-land the shuttle, and a curious crowd gathers around them but refuses to help as two ships approach. Back in the Rebel Alliance fleet, Hera Syndulla briefs the crew on recent leads. Luke Skywalker asks about the transmission from the defectors, stating he has a good feeling about it.
