- "The tracking station in Pastil is fully operational."
- ―Commander Cody reporting to Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi
Pastil was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Pastil system in the Abrion sector of the Outer Rim Territories, in grid square S-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It served as the site of a Galactic Republic tracking station during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[3] In 22 BBY,[4] Pastil was visited by the Clone Commander Cody and Clone Captain Rex during their inspections of several Republic stations, which included the Pastil tracking station, before traveling to the Rishi system for their inspection of the Rishi Station.[3]
During the Galactic Civil War several decades later, the Alliance to Restore the Republic similarly maintained a listening station on Pastil.[2]
Behind the scenes
Pastil was first mentioned in "Rookies,"[3] the fifth episode of the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on October 24, 2008.[5]
