Plot summary
On the Leviathan, Queen Trios, armed and apologizing for the circumstances, confronts Leia. Leia asks if Trios leaked the crawler's plans, while Commander Kanchar engages Luke in a hangar bay. Trios confesses that Darth Vader killed her father and gave her the throne, then showed her a piece of Alderaan as a warning. She explains that she is now secretly sabotaging Imperial efforts and wants to form an alliance with the rebels. At the same time, Luke short-circuits Kanchar's cybernetics with an ion torpedo and defeats him.
Luke arrives as Leia and Trios agree to an alliance. Leia tells Luke that Trios is exactly what they needed: more hope. The rebels rush to escape the Leviathan as it approaches a massive chasm, but Han Solo arrives with the Millennium Falcon to save them at the last moment. Back on Jedha, Benthic and the remaining rebels promise to guard the planet's ashes until it's gone and agrees to work with the Alliance. Han gives Ubin a medal and tells her that living heroically is better than dying heroically. The heroes then fly off in the Falcon, ready to rebuild.
