Re: Two things

Hey Tope. I'll see if I can give Malastare a review once all of the current objections have been stricken; I try to avoid starting a review when one is already going on to avoid potentially conflicting objections. Also, I replied re: the Darth Phobos cult issue, though I think the main problem is that we don't have consistency site-wide; hopefully we can clarify the issue with the community in either the CT or the SH. Thanks. CC7567 (talk) 03:44, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Sheckil

Hey, Tope. I found a bit of info about Sheckil you might want to incorporate into the article. According to Aurra Sing: Dawn of the Bounty Hunters, in the scenes with Sheckil, Jon Morton, who played Dack, had to don the Boba Fett costume so both Sheckil and Fett could be on screen at the same time. There's this quote, too: "Steve Lanning, the second assistant director, and Jeremy [Bulloch] came to me, and Steve said, 'You guys are about the same size—would you be interested in covering for a couple of days?" This is on p. 48, but there's a pic o Sheckil (same as the infobox) on p. 46. ~SavageBOB sig 06:41, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that the QOTD spoilers CT you voted on has been amended. Hello!

I noticed you undid my edit to the Davin Felth page. I don't do much editing and adding here, but I like to help out the community I get so much from by fixing little things I see wrong as I use the site. So I don't know much about proper procedures or any other peculiar ways of doing things here, so I was just wondering if you'd explain what I should have done instead . . . is there a better way to fix a mistake like that than to just fix it?

Thanks! Adamjames 19:06, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Not censored

Wookieepedia isnt censored. Yet we censor personal attacks? We don't keep offensive images and language out, yet nobody can be "offended" (which is a politically correct term used by people who can't take the heat). How does this make sense? Never mind, I don't want to know. Consider this my last wookieepedia edit. Merrejk

Hello Toprawa, on Leland Chee's Keeper of the Holocron blog on Facebook, he has just stated, in response to my blog post inquiring Commander Merrejk's fate, that he is "Not sure why we'd go out of the way to say he's alive. Best to presume dead unless proven otherwise." Should he be officially stated as presumed dead, sourcing that statement made by Leland Chee himself? Hanzo Hasashi 19:47, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Trooper comic

Hi Toprawa! Leeland Chee confirmed here that the Trooper (comic) in non-continuity. Does his statement render the comic from ambigously canon to non-canon? Should I ask him to verify that it is really him on Facebook? Darth Morrt 23:24, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

  • I think that's debatable at best and open to interpretation, and I think there are many factors to consider here. Firstly, I don't think he "confirmed" it fully by that little passing answer. He said the comic "was intended to be non-canon." To me, that's a pretty vague response, and most likely done with some intent. Chee isn't the say-all-end-all guy when it comes to canonicity. He's more of a guide, and he knows that, so when he's not 100% sure about something, he won't give you a 100% sure answer, as I believe is the case here. Secondly, I think it's important to take into account the forum of this discussion. The official SW.com Holocron continuity discussion thread was disbanded for a reason. Just because Chee is continuing to entertain fan discussion on his personal Facebook page, which is in no way affiliated with SW.com or Lucasfilm, as far as I can see, doesn't mean these are officially-binding decrees or comments. You guys are so antsy to manufacture answers out of him to fulfill your canon dreams that I think you fail to look at this objectively. Purely objectively speaking, to me, these comments are about as viable a resource as taking the guy out to a bar, getting him sloshed on cocktails, and then tape recording his answers to every Star Wars question you feed to him. At best, I would note his answer in the BTS of the article, or whatever relevant section, but still leave the canonicity ambiguous until it's clarified in a more formally official forum. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:59, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
    • OK, thanks for the answer. Darth Morrt 00:41, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Year article

Hey Tope, Imperators II left a request on my talk page to lower the protection on the 5,000,000,000 BBY page, as he found information in The Essential Guide to Alien Species that says the galaxy was formed around that year. Wampa BTS info

Hey, Tope. Just stumbled across this in The Sounds of Star Wars, p. 117: The wampa's roar in ESB was created from the noises made by an elephant in the Oakland Zoo. Randy Thom recorded it. Ben Burtt and the sound team then added the cries of a sea lion from Marineland of the Pacific on top of the elephant calls to create the wampa roar. Seems like prime BTS material, but I wasn't sure which section it would fit into best, so I thought I'd give you the info here to add as you see fit. Cheers, ~SavageBOB sig 21:20, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Prenoms

Hello Toprawa, I have a question, do you ever give prenoms? If so, then given your amount of experience with articles, and the fact very rarely now do any articles you nominate or support have any objections that follow, I might ask you for one. Hanzo Hasashi 19:41, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • I generally do not do prenom reviews, and I'm afraid I certainly wouldn't have time to do one for some time with my current schedule. If you have general questions, I can answer those. Thank you for your consideration. Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:45, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Make no bones about it

Hey, Tope. I'm incredibly busy today (Mondays are hellish for me), so it would be OK to merge the info from hyoid bone and cheekbone into bone tomorrow? If not, I can try to get at it tonight sometime. Thanks, ~SavageBOB sig 23:45, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

  • Yeah, certainly no rush. I should clarify, though, that the Hyoid bone TC ended in no consensus. You're welcome to move that info into the bone article anyway, but that article should be left as its own entity for now. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:48, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
    • At any rate, both articles have been merged into bone. (The hyoid bone stuff was there already, so it was really only cheekbone that was in question). Perhaps a broader CT on earthly things is overdue, but I'm a bit too busy IRL at the moment to write one up. C'est la vie! ~SavageBOB sig 13:04, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Capital, my good sir

Hey, Tope. I take it you're referring to this line from the MOS: "However, if the word refers to a person, it should be in capitals. 'As an experienced leader, Admiral Ackbar...' or 'He never liked telling jokes to the Admiral.'" Do you remember or happen to know when the second example of this was voted on or chosen to be in the MOS? I ask because it seems to violate most (if not all) real-world MOS'es I know about, where titles are only capitalized when they are placed in front of someone's name. This is an honest question, so please don't read any annoyance or other subtext to this query. And thanks for any help! ~SavageBOB sig 18:33, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • I think it was just added to the MOS when the page was first created and therefore ratified by default in the early days of the wiki, so no CT was actually held. You can probably just go through the MOS edit history to verify that. I don't agree with it either, though I try to make sure we follow it as long as it exists. If you want to start a CT to change it, I'd support and even help you find working real-world examples. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:44, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
    • Sweet, I may just do that. Thanks for the help! ~SavageBOB sig 18:53, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
    • (edit conflict) Hey, I saw this on recent changes and looked it up. It was actually not added until 2007 [1], but it was added by a non-admin (in the days when the MOS was open for all to edit) and appears to have been done unilaterally. I'd support a CT to repeal it as well. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers Thursday, October 13, 2011, 18:57 UTC
      • Thanks for digging that up. What do you guys think about situations where the OS capitalizes the rank? There's a ton of ambiguity in sources on this, especially in the (dare I say it) more poorly edited stuff, like the RPGs and video games (as opposed to the novels). Would we always bow to the OS if it capitalizes something like, "I saw the Captain the other day talking to a Twi'lek Lieutenant," or would we override that, provided the CT passed? I'd vote for overriding, but it is another point to consider. ~SavageBOB sig 19:05, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
        • As long as the whole of original source material is inconsistent, I think we have the ability to choose the most logical option and stick with it for our own consistency. Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:07, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

R-3PO

In the newly added Protocol Droids entry to the Encyclopedia over at SW.com, in the rotating header is an image of a red protocol droid. As far as I know, R-3PO is the only known red protocol droid in the Star Wars universe. I have the image cropped down, if you feel it would be appropriate for the infobox of Ar-Threepio's article. Because the image isn't explicitly stated to be him, I didn't just automatically upload and add the image. Thoughts? - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:21, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

  • Thank you for bringing this to my attention. If we knew for sure it was R-3PO, I would say go for it. But I do believe that's in fact TC-3. Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:25, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
    • And that was precisely why I asked. I didn't realize there was another red protocol droid. And the Encyclopedia image must be TC-3, it looks identical, right down to the silver neck area. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:34, October 23, 2011 (UTC)
      • Agreed with that assessment. Thank you nonetheless. Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:36, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

Davin Felth voice

Hello Toprawa, according to page 58 of the book The Sounds of Star Wars, all ANH stormtroopers were voiced by disc jockeys Terry McGovern, Jerry Walters, Scott Beach and Morgan Upton. The lines were all said over a walkie talkie and recorded by Ben Burtt. Furthermore, we could rule out McGovern, as he seemingly mentions all his lines on his personal website, and none of Felth's lines are included. Hanzo Hasashi 19:01, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

But from our discussion Forum:SH:Project_The_Phantom_Menace:_Wookieepedia%27s_Third_Barn-Burner!!#.5BP.5Dodracing|here, it seems that the sport, the vehicles, and the pilots are still spelled with a capital P, as silly as that is. Endicott

Hello Toprawa, I was thinking that perhaps Endicott's intro could benefit with the Battle of Endor information from the biography. It would seem incomplete otherwise. Hanzo Hasashi 21:02, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • Seems reasonable. There's also apparently some deleted scenes material from the Blu-ray set that needs to be worked in. I'll add it all in then. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:03, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
    • I don't have the Blu-ray. Is he in those said scenes? Hanzo Hasashi 21:05, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
      • Apparently, yes. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:05, December 29, 2011 (UTC)
        • I notice you added Endicott's quote from the deleted scene into his bio. I thought that deleted scenes were only ambiguously canon, and non-canon if they contradicted with canon, as in Shaak Ti's various deaths in Revenge of the Sith. AFAIK I don't think any source treats the Blu-ray deleted scenes any differently. Hanzo Hasashi 15:26, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
          • Well, I think we've largely been treating deleted scenes incorrectly. Our canon article defines deleted scenes as such: "The deleted scenes included on the DVDs are also considered G-canon (when they're not in conflict with the movie," which is referenced to this blog statement by Leland Chee: "Are deleted scenes considered G-level? Yes, unless they conflict with something else seen in the films or if the reasoning behind deleting the scene keeps it from being continuity. [ADDENDUM: this applies only to deleted scenes publicly released]." Granted, Chee has also posted this on his Facebook page: "Are deleted scenes G-canon? "Potentially yes, but not always, unless its specifically reinserted into the film like Jabba in ANH and the extended Podracer scenes in the TPM DVD. Certainly not canon if it contradicts the films. Not sure much retconning is necessary for Luke building his lightsaber." Although a more ambiguous statement, this is basically saying that reinserted deleted scenes are absolutely canon, while non-contradicting scenes are "potentially yes" to canon. FWIW, I've discussed this with Tranner regarding the Jerjerrod/Endicott deleted scenes, and we agreed that because a) Chee's SW.com statements are more officially-binding than his Facebook wall posts, b) there is nothing contradictory regarding the Endicott deleted scene material specifically, and c) because it has been publicly released, we're going to treat it as canon in the absence of anything specifically suggesting it would not be. I plan on detailing this explanation in the BTS. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:53, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
            • Hello Toprawa, I see that you have added Star Wars (Blu-ray) to Endicott's source list. Should those DVD's be counted as a source for anything from the movies? Hanzo Hasashi 22:29, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
              • If I'm correct in my understanding, the TCW people have been adding the complete season set releases to Sources lists for subjects that have unique information in the extra features portions of those sets. So, just going along with that, I figured it would be appropriate to add the complete Blu-ray set to articles like Endicott that have unique information. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:11, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
                • So anything or anybody that does not have any extra info in the extra features does not have that added to their source list? Hanzo Hasashi 23:17, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
                  • Correct. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:22, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
                  • Though maybe I should clarify that some: I think anyone or anything who appears in the extra features at all should have that added to their Sources list. Not just only new information. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:22, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Negated vote

I fairly regularly use talk and KB/SH pages to express opinions and add a voice to the overall discussions of various subjects on this Wikia. So to me, choosing to invoke the '50 main edits' position to invalidate my vote on the Death Star renaming subject is an awfully letter of the law rather than spirit of the law interpretation. One that I can't help but notice negates a vote in opposition the position you've openly supported in said discussion.

I understand why the rule is there--there's no reason why anonymous or very occasional editors should be able to vote in large impact decision--but choosing to use the rule in this way seems to me rather underhanded. DigiFluid 22:11, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry you feel that way. However, I don't appreciate your insinuation that I am somehow acting underhanded by performing my responsibility as an administrator of this wiki. Our Single-issue voter policy clearly states that the rule applies to talk page consensus votes, as determined by Wookieepedia community consensus. And as an administrator, it is my duty to objectively carry out the policies established by the community, for the community, as I regularly do, regardless of where my personal opinion may lead me to vote on any specific matter. I am not targeting you specifically or personally, nor am I attempting to subjectively influence this vote in any way. I would recommend you make an effort to reach the required edit threshold to allow for reinstatement of your vote if you feel so strongly about this matter. ESB Radio Drama Script

Hello Toprawa, I assume you most likely have access to The Empire Strikes Back: The National Public Radio Dramatization, as you made Venka a featured article back in 2009. Does it include the scene with Cabbel and Xamuel Lennox? The fact that it was never listed under Lennox's sources when he was a featured article, and still not now as he is being renominated, made me assume the scene was not included. Unfortunately, I don't have the book in question, and can't actually check myself. Hanzo Hasashi 04:28, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Re:TC threads

  • If that's from Wookieepedia:Consensus, I was under the impression that the passage you quoted applied only to CT threads, not TC. I was looking under the TC section when I closed that. It's been awhile since I've archived TC threads, so if our common practice is to apply that CT rule to TC threads also, I'm happy to revert the closing of that thread (and recommend we do a separate CT thread to formalize that). Executor SWG

It appeared in a loading screen of Ackbar pointing at a bunch of Star Destroyers attacking (reminiscent of the Battle of Endor). The Executor was amongst them. It was an artwork loading screen, similar to style to that of the TCG. But I'm not sure if that particular artwork of Ackbar pointing at the Star Destroyers was used in the TCG or not. In the actual game, the Executor never appeared AFAIK, but it was mentioned here and there. StarsiderSWG 20:10, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

  • I think I first saw the loading screen sometime in 2011. The game itself takes place from 0 BBY to 3 ABY. However, the loading screen depicted the Battle of Endor. The loading screen could randomly appear when players logged into the game. The loading screen image had no bearing or relevance to the rest of the game. It basically just gave players a pretty picture to look at while they waited for their character's to load. I'll see if I can find the image to show you. StarsiderSWG 00:12, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

A question

Hello Toprawa, just a minor question: when I made Vandolay a good article last May, I said that he wore a black Imperial Navy officer's uniform. However, would it actually be more accurate to say he wore an Imperial Navy Crewman's uniform instead? If so, then a fairly minor change will be made. Hanzo Hasashi 22:57, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

Request

Hey, Tope,

I was wondering if I could request your aid in some conflict resolution over on the GAN page. The conflict is between Jang and myself on the Mofference nom, and it's come to the point that I think some outside mediation is probably the best course of action. I come to you because you're an Agricorporal, and admin, a well-respected member of the community, and also someone who I've had some disputes with in the past—that is, someone who I trust to offer objective advice. I feel that my most recent edit to the page (requesting the striking of his objection) was probably a bit rash and may just lead to negative feelings all around, so I'm hoping that some outside advice may be the best way to prevent things from escalating any further. Simply reviewing the article may be the best way to do this; if you agree with Jang, by all means let me know, and I'll be happy to improve the article. If you'd rather not get involved, that's fine, but I'm hoping you can help prevent the situation from turning into a pointless yelling match. Thanks. Menkooroo 16:21, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

Scum and all that

I was recently informed that my editing of the quote "we don't need their scum" to the correct "that scum" was reverted.

However, if you really, really listen to the line then you can surely hear that the word 'that' is used. There are other things that back this up - namely that "we don't need that scum" actually makes sense as a line, whereas "their scum" sort of doesn't. There are also various official printed sources with the correct line, including the script book.

So I don't hold it against you since it seems like a common mistake. I'm sure you're embarrassed enough already. So now all that remains is for someone to go through the whole site and change every instance of that quote to the correct 'that' version - a task that could have been avoided by leaving my edits in place.

My friendly advice for the future would be to maybe take more time to consider why changes have been made and maybe seek out some further opinions and evidence in the matter, rather than simply going by your own opinions. Had this been done then you would have discovered that the majority correctly believe the word to be 'that'.

You risk the site losing a lot of credibility if people feel that they cannot trust the administrators and their level of knowledge. Captain Yossarian 18:35, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

I unfortunately wasn't able to upload the screenshot. But I got the book today and I can give yout the translation: It's page 94 about R-3PO. The main description box reads: "The bright red and very moody R-3PO doesn't look like the best choice for a droid inspector in the Echo Base (set 7879) at the first glance, but exactly because of that he is it! No one has him under suspicion and so this curious minifigure can thwarten many Imperial infiltration-tries on Hoth. R-3PO was released for the first time at LEGO Star Wars in 2011." Then there's a box that describes set 7879: "Hoth Echo Base (Set 7879): "R3-PO serves the Rebel Alliance in their secret hideout on Hoth. He is notorious for being quite grumpy and is generally known for being a real plague. His minifigure was included for the first time in this set from 2011." Then there's a databank file: "Set: 7879 Hoth Echo Base; Year: 2011; 3 Parts; Accessories: none; Variants: 1." There's also a red box in the right corner of the page. It is reading the following: "No Tatoo: R-3PO has supposedly got the saying "Thank the Maker" on his butt, but you look for it fruitlessly on the minifigure! R-3PO has completely red minifigure-hips and -legs." And then there are multiple boxes describing the minifigure: "The printed tiling pattern continues on R-3PO's back." "R3-PO is a noticebale figure in his red protocoldroid-shell." "R-3PO complies his spy-service by observing others carefully with the photoreceptors." "Despite R3-PO is a droid, he has got a humanoid shape and the minifigure has normal arms, hands torso and legs." User:Yoda´s Lightsaber 13:44, February 18, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Wampas

Hey Tope, I'm not certain that there isn't more unique information from other storylines, but I can tell you that in the game, a bunch of Wampas (adults and youths) occupy the Ice Behemoth Cave. The cave is also used by Republic-aligned Talz to store food, ordinance, and medical resources. I think the most important item to your article would be that the Wampas are not hostile towards the Talz because of their physical similarities. Apparently they think the Talz are Wampas too. You can use {{TORCite|Mission: "Forcing Their Hand: Destruction" on Hoth}} for the citation. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:09, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • Also, I guess if you want to get more detailed than that, you can add that many (if not all) of the Wampas in the cave were killed by agent(s) of the Sith Empire. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:13, March 2, 2012 (UTC)
    • For the Talz–Wampa cave, that's just a generic Imperial faction mission—it can be completed by any Empire player, regardless of class. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:38, March 2, 2012 (UTC)
    • I know that Republic players certainly encounter Wampas on Hoth, but I don't know that there's any unique information on the things, like mission involvement, on the Republic side. I would check with Enochf, to be safe—I know he's played as a smuggler, at the very least. And as far as the Talz go, I remember there being a specific statement about the Wampas thinking that they were one in the same, but I have no way of getting it verbatim for you. It was one of the Imperial commanders on Hoth who stated as much. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 22:19, March 2, 2012 (UTC)
  • My feeling on that would be to go with the submission itself, as a player could hypothetically play through all of a parent mission without encountering submission content if they choose not to pursue it. I would just note in the cite format that it's a bonus mission, like so: {{TORCite|Bonus mission: "Wampa Smash" on Hoth}} Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 20:10, March 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Ah, I see what you're saying. I would say yes, but only to the extent that you feel the actions in the bonus quest are notable. For instance, if it's a "Kill ten wampas" kind of side-quest, that may or may not be notable depending on the detail you want to provide in the article itself; you could roll that information into the citation for the parent quest and state something generic along the lines of "person x was required to combat many wampas while they searched the caves for blipidy bloop". However, if you feel that, in the context of your article, you need to clarify that the mission was accepted and completed (and therefore state somehere that "person X killed at least 10 wampas in the cave") then I would certainly include it, but with that you would need to utilize the {{Gamemechanics}} template. Personally, although I do think that there are a few instances where I think it would be impractical, I would always air on the side of comprehensiveness and include both the bonus mission citation and the template. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 01:01, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
  • Hey Tope, just one more thing for the wampas. The TOR in-game codex states that icetrompers were hunted by wampas, but the icetromper's multiple sets of eyes helped them to guard against wampa ambushes. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 06:27, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

E-3PO

Hi Toprawa, I just wanted to discuss something with you regarding the E-3PO article. Back in 2008, I added some information from the RPG adventure Contract AA-23 to the E-3PO page, but on reflection I believe that I may have made the wrong call. I recently re-read that source and while it does feature a protocol droid by the name of E-3PO, there is no indication that the droid was of the E-3PO class. As you were the original GA nominator of the E-3PO class, I therefore request your backing for me to remove the Contract AA-23 information from the article body and create a separate page on the E-3PO from the adventure. I would also like to apologize for the fact that I added the information to the article in the first place, I honestly don't know why I did it and I can only conclude that it was because I was a less experienced user back in 2008. Let me know what you think. --Jinzler 17:41, March 31, 2012 (UTC)

Boba Fett and Cad Bane

What the heck did you do to the Cad Bane and Boba Fett pages?--Masterbmw 02:20, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • What do you mean? Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:22, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
    • I believe he means your attempt at renaming/rewriting the Boba Fett page to reflect Cad Bane's article due to apparently using an alias of Boba Fett in Season 5. Weedle McHairybug 02:26, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
      • Well, yeah, that, except Boba Fett is Cad Bane, as Season Five will soon reveal. Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:31, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
        • But... isn't Cad Bane a Duros? Duros don't even resemble Boba Fett? It would actually be closer to sanity if Cad Bane was actually Gunray's lost brother or something since, even though Duros aren't Neimoidians, they at least look similar. Or am I missing something? Anyways, maybe we should just note it in the behind the scenes section instead of moving it, because until Season 5 actually is gone through, we really shouldn't act that it's confirmed. I mean, hey, the writers could just be pulling a fast one on us. I remember when Hideo Kojima, the guy who created Metal Gear, implied during the 2009 Tokyo Game Show regarding Peace Walker's development at the time that Liquid would play some role in the game and that Nixon's resignation would play a major role in Peace Walker's story, when in Peace Walker, neither actually happened. Or how about the manga for Destiny Deoxys, where a large percentage of the content of the manga was actually vastly different compared to the film it was supposedly adapted from (and was released prior to, as well). Could be the same here. Point is, we really need to make sure that what the writers say in press releases are actually true after they are released, not before, just in case they mislead us. Weedle McHairybug 02:39, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
          • Well, I can't speak for the feasibility of the change. That's Filoni's department. I could write a doctoral thesis on all the baloney that guy has created. But we need to treat this declaration as fully-binding until any other word comes down. In other words, we present what the most recent updates in canon tell us, for now. Filoni's word, sadly, is law when it comes to TCW. Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:42, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
            • Why not just pretend like you didn't hear anything about what might happen in Season 5 and put the article back to normal for now. If the time comes that Boba Fett was never Jango's son and was instead an adult Duros, you can remake the article that way, but I would wait until Season 5 comes out.--Masterbmw 02:46, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
              • Believe me, I wish I could just wish away my feelings. But we need to respect the letter of canon law as it currently exists. If things change before then, we can reflect any new updates in the article at that time. Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:48, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Image uploads question.

Hi.

I'm trying to upload more images onto Wookieepedia relating to Galactic Battlegrounds. I'm currently at the part where I have to select the licensing. However, as I am completely unfamiliar with it, I have a question regarding the licensing:

Exactly which of the licensing categories do these images belong to?

CommandCentre.jpg

ImpSpacePort.jpg

I want to make sure I don't make any mistakes about what its licensed under. I mean, the images I found on the netherlands wiki of the food, ore, carbon, and nova proccessing facilities I can definitely label as "game screenshots", but the Imperial Spaceport and the Rebel Command Center I cannot because unlike the other four, the category I was thinking of isn't on there (namely, artwork). Weedle McHairybug 12:00, April 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Okay, I uploaded the stuff from the netherlands Wookieepedia regarding the food, ore, carbon, and nova processing facilities, but then they got deleted for some reason. I made sure I did everything correctly, including citing the specific source (as specific as possible, in fact, with the specific URLs of the images I got them from) and I made absolute certain that I used "Game Screenshot" as the licensing domain. Can you explain what I did wrong? Weedle McHairybug 13:02, April 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • You know what, how about you upload them, please. It's becoming obvious that I can't upload anything onto this site without it getting deleted, and even when I try to correct myself, it doesn't allow me to do so, so please upload the image files relating to the Rebel Command Center, Imperial Space Port, and the Ore, Carbon, Nova, and Food Processing Facilities, since its obvious I cannot do it. Sorry if I'm sounding rude, but I'm getting very irritated at having to go through the image upload procedure and work myself hard on it only for the images to end up deleted despite my best efforts at legitimately uploading it and not even being able to correct myself of any mistakes. Here's the source: http://nl.starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Galactic_Battlegrounds

and here's the specific links to the pictures in question:

SotE cards and info from cards

For the cards that you added to Zuckuss and 4-LOM, aside from simply the image, is there any pertinent information that I could use from those cards? Also, since I have the EGtW, want me to just finish up the needed update for Samoc Farr? It would be basically a paragraph of information, the same I added to Toryn. Anti-aircraft vs. antiaircraft

Then why isn't anti-aircraft weaponry mentioned in the NEGWT or anti-aircraft weaponry articles "as is"? Zeta1127 of the 89th Legion (talk) 22:49, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

  • I don't know. Sometimes sources and things differ between spelling variations. I prefer to stick to original-source spellings and formatting whenever possible. If you can show me examples proving an overwhelming use of "anti-aircraft" in canon, I'd be glad to support changing it to that. Toprawa and Ralltiir 05:05, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Annual

Hi Tope, I do indeed have a copy of the annual. However, unfortunately, I'm not going to have access to it until I next go home in about a month's time. I'm happy to check it then, if you can't find anyone else with the book and if whatever you're looking for isn't that imminent, but I can't provide any more help than that I'm afraid. --Jinzler 15:47, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

Nameless nobodies from SotE, and their species

Came across Unidentified Tatooine alien bounty hunter's species|this and Unidentified three-eyed spacesuited bounty hunter's species|this, and I can reasonably assume that the other three-eyed guy on the swoop will soon have his species article, even though he looks to be the same species as the one in the space suit. And then there's Unidentified green-skinned alien species|this, which I think may be salvageable, provided a page move and a new image to show the full body. But the other two... I'm reallynot sure what to do about those. I figured I'd just direct your attention to them, since you've handled mutant Bith/Sullustan before. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:36, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

Hurst

Hi there, I would just like to know why you reverted the edit I made which had Hurst listed as appearing in flashbacks during Darth Bane: Path of Destruction. Ressor 01:21, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • I understand. I have just recently read the novel and I can confirm that he is in a flashback scene. I will change it again to the way you suggested. Ressor 10:27, April 26, 2012 (UTC)

Great Manifest Period, a few dates, the EGW, a misreading, and a lot of fixing...

Hello, Toprawa. Long time, no talk. Hope you're doing well. I wanted to you to know that I updated all of the articles that related to the start of the Alsakan Conflicts and the fiasco that it created with the publication of Warfare. Simply, the NEC, Atlas, and Written Word have all established the Alsakan Conflicts as "approximately" 17,000 BBY while establishing the end of the Great Manifest Period as "exactly" 17,000 BBY. Even though the events have been completely tied together, Warfare puts the conflict as starting 17,018 BBY. A close reading of the book (see page 26), shows that the Great Manifest Period still ends 17,000 BBY. Furthermore, the Indecta Era and Kymoodon Eras are listed as 17,000–12,000 BBY (collectively) on page 22 (top). I'm explaining this here, because frankly I'm not around enough to watch all the relevant articles fully. All that said, I understand where a user was confused. At first, I was too. I've rectified all of this and reconciled all the sources together. So, as it stands, Great Manifest Period, Indecta Era, 17,018 BBY, 17,012 BBY, and 17,000 BBY all reflect the proper dates and sources. Whew.

Cheers! Fiolli; 23:12, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

P.S. I'm posting part of this on Tommy and Xd's pages as they are Inq/AC members charged with monitoring FAs and GAs also. Fiolli; 23:12, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

  • Toprawa: Now, we are up to speed (again). Sorry about my confusion. We're good, and the articles in question are now definitely good-to-go. Fiolli; 02:00, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

Just noticed your tag on my article and I agree, 'twas pretty amateur writing. :P Is it better now? MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 13:21, May 2, 2012 (UTC)

Trey Callum

Hi Toprawa, I was just wondering whether you have checked Star Wars Annual 2009 for information relating to Trey Callum yet? I am going to have access to the book from tomorrow, if you still want me to have a look in it for you. --Jinzler 16:07, May 29, 2012 (UTC)

  • I've had a look and he appears to be indirectly mentioned on p.78 of the book. The Annual tells the story of the six Star Wars films via a number of "messages" recorded by R2-D2, and in one such message on the subject of the Battle of Hoth, Luke Skywalker states "Then a trench officer reported Imperial walkers heading our way." --Jinzler 22:57, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
