Wallen GAN

Would you support my GAN for Wallen? I think I have done an excellent job with the GAN, would you like to check it out and say what you think of it? Hanzo Hasashi 19:43, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

  • That guy who captured Luke and wanted to take a picture with him was Major Lesim, a character who doesn't appear in the film. And yeah, I'll add all of Wallen's other appearances too, but in the meantime wanna eliminate the second objection of yours? Hanzo Hasashi 19:57, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Please respond to objections on the GAN page, where discussion of the nomination will take place. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:00, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
      • I would but I'm unable to make edits on that page apparently, so I therefore can only respond on the users' talk pages. Hanzo Hasashi 20:01, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
        • Since you recently registered, you need 50 mainspace edits before you can edit semi-protected pages, like GAN. I would appreciate if you could try and achieve this benchmark rather than turning my talkpage into a satellite GAN page. Thanks. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
          • Sry, didn't know that :)Hanzo Hasashi 20:10, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
            • What are mainspace edits? I've done 50 in-universe edits, and still haven't been able to edit the GAN page Hanzo Hasashi 22:19, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
              • Pardon me I'm not trying to continue making this a satellite GAN page, but could you perhaps cross out your objections on my Wallen GAN since both have been taken care of, and also because I don't have any sourcebooks other than the visual dictionary, could you perhaps look through some sources for any mention, indirect or whatnot, or even mere photos of him that can be added as sources? Strun FAN

If an article is up for FAN, does that mean that only the original editor is responsible for changes? Or can anyone else still make edits? I ask because you reverted all the changes I made, including such cases of bad grammar, for example, "Starkiller fought his way to the skyhook's mooring structure and begun removing the tractor pins…" is grammatically incorrect. It should be written either "and had begun", or "and began". Other cases where I made changes is because a word or phrase was not linked, or the word itself was out of place, for instance, "his change to hunt a Jedi", should have been written "his chance to hunt…" and Starkiller was by no means a Jedi, so Force-user would have been more appropriate. Gethralkin 18:45, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Thyferra

I saw you reverted my new redirect, what I was doing was renaming it because it is never called the "Second Battle of Thyferra" in the game or any other source. Rather then creating a fanon name for the battle, I believe it is better to name the article something more official and descriptive. DjMack 23:49, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I understand your reasoning, and while those names might not exactly be canonical, I believe they are far more encyclopedic than "Moff Seerdon's attack on Thyferra," for example. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:51, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Oh and just for future reference,

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:SH:Abolishing_previous/next/concurrent_battles_section

I saw that someone else reverted all my edits to the Rogue Squadron battles that relate to this. It appears we are probably gonna get new rules about the before and after sections in battleboxes. DjMack 23:59, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Italics

I would like to make my case in regards to the problem Mr. Mauser brought to your attention. Allow me to provide excerpts from a book about proper writing. About italics…

Source: Writers INC Attribution: Patrick Sebranek, Dave Kemper, and Verne Meyer. Wilmington, Massachusetts: Houghton Mifflin, 2001.

Use italics to indicate the titles of magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, books, full-length plays, films, videos, radio and television programs, book-length poems, ballets, operas, lengthy musical compositions, cassettes, CD’s, legal cases, and the names of ships and aircraft.

And on quotation marks…

Source: Writers INC Attribution: Patrick Sebranek, Dave Kemper, and Verne Meyer. Wilmington, Massachusetts: Houghton Mifflin, 2001.

Use quotation marks to punctuate titles of songs, poems, short stories, one-act plays, lectures, episodes of radio or television programs, chapters of books, unpublished works, electronic files, and articles found in magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, or on-line sources.

Now, both you and Mr. Mauser have cited the Appearances section of the Layout Guide as the reason to italicize all titles. Notice how all the titles in this section fall under the first list. I believe the use of italics on all articles is a common mistake due to a majority of titles requiring italics and thus all other titles were written like them. Furthermore, titles are not used for only one section. Any rule dictating them would be in the Manual of Style, not the Layout Guide. And in the Manual of Style, it states, “…we mandate standard American English spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word usage.” So my reasons for putting in quotation marks were justified. I am not the only user who has done this. In conclusion, there are rules supporting my stance and no apparent rules for italicizing all titles. TheAinMAP 01:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Naboo fruits

I'm not sure that "Naboo fruits" was an unacceptable article: we have a few articles on groups of characters who aren't named and are only distinguishable visually (e.g. Unidentified Rebel commandos, Unidentified Rebel officers, Unidentified Rebel pilots (Arda-2)) If we followed that precedent, an article called "Unidentified Naboo fruits" would be OK, wouldn't it? —Silly Dan (talk) 22:39, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I would disagree and would point out that "plural" articles like this have just as strong a precedent for deletion. I would also point out that these articles seem to be all created by the same person who doesn't seem to be aware of our naming convention precedent that stipulates articles with singular titles. There's no reason why all these Rebel characters, etc., can't have individual articles. It's more laziness on the part of a certain user. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:42, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
    • However, if you feel it best to put this up for a TC vote to get a definite site consensus on "plural" articles like this, that might be the best approach. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:49, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
      • Might be best for you to TC one of the existing articles instead, rather than undeleting the Naboo fruits article just for it to be TC'd. —Silly Dan (talk) 04:07, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
        • With all due respect, Dan, I don't feel compelled to start a TC for this at all. I don't think I unfairly deleted anything here, and if I had felt it was going to be a matter of debate I would certainly have started a TC to give the community the chance to come to a decision on this. These "plural" articles have been deleted out of hand by me and others in the past, which is the precedent I have previously cited here. If you feel I deleted this too rashly, I do apologize, and I invite you yourself to take this, or a similar article, to a TC in that case. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:40, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
          • Instead of barging in and challenging Toprawa, perhaps we could simply have figured out what the fruit was. Graestan(Talk) 06:18, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
            • Thanks for looking that up for us. In that case, I've recreated Naboo fruit (fruit being the plural form of the word, not "fruits,") as a redirect page. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:23, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
              • I saw that article: the plural article discussed the other, unidentified fruits in the bowl, though (I guess I'll put some of that in the BTS.) As for "barging in and challenging", I apologize if I came off that way. I swear I did not wake up yesterday morning and think "I know, I'll go around disagreeing with everything T&R says today!", even though I took the opposite position from you on the TC and the CT yesterday as well... I think the best course would be to split and/or delete the plural articles, since I seem to be the only one who finds them acceptable. —Silly Dan (talk) 12:31, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Bad Edits

I am aware that in the past there have been some bad edits done under my user name. I'll admit that the Oppo Rancisis edit was done by ME. But the edits such as the Wampa one was done by my little brother. When I leave the house he goes on Wookieepedia and tries to edit things.

You have blocked me for three days because of this.

I just want to let you know that I'm here to build Wookieepedia, not destroy it. If in the future I find my brother has been making bad edits, as soon as I find out, I will delete them.

Fallen's Fist

In the article Fallen's Fist you erased the name of Okins. Was it not Admiral Okins the Executor commander in 3.5 ABY?

Captain of the Executor
Firmus Piett

3.5 ABY4 ABY None (Executor destroyed)

--Arth sidious 13:42, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

  • I changed it for a number of reasons. The SOTE Sourcebook establishes that Okins is more of a liaison person of sorts, and not a permanent admiral. During Okins' actual appearance in the novel, Vader refers to him explicitly as "Admiral," and the guy in question here is referred to only as "Commander." Secondly, none of that information in the succession box is sourced, which is another way of saying that nothing ever states that Okins stayed on all the way through Piett's return in 4 ABY, much less through to the destruction of Falleen's Fist. We just have nothing to go on that says it's Okins in that battle, unless I've missed something in the SOTE Sourcebook. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:30, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

K-3PO

150px|thumb|right|K-3PO's very bad day. Hey Toprawa. Basically K-3PO is sitting in that room with his missing arm, destroyed. There's a big explosion, and it implies that K-3PO's body is completely destroyed, and his head is "thrown" across the room. Then Vader and Blizzard Force enter. That's pretty much it. Review request

Hi! I am just starting my first two FA projects, and was wondering if you could, in your capacity as an Inquisitor, take a look at them and let me know if I'm headed in the right direction with them. It's way too early for a detailed review, but I don't want to get all the way to the end, post them on the FAN page, and find out I need to completely rewrite them. Basically, I'm just looking for a thumbs-up or -down in regard to the writing style. The work pages are here and here. Thanks in advance. • Hey, when you get to this, please leave your comments on the work pages' respective talk pages rather than here or my main talk page—that way I can easily refer to them when looking at the work pages. Thanks! Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 04:45, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
      • Uh, have you forgotten about this? I've been waiting for over a month. I had to return most of the relevant books to the library because I was over the renewal limits, so I'm waiting on your reviews before I request them again so I can make full use of the limited time I have with them. Please let me know what's going on here. Master JonathanJedi Council Chambers 00:47, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
        • OK, are you going to do this or not? It has now been over a month and a half, and I'm done with waiting. There is no excuse for having to wait this long when you said you would do it in "days". If you're not going to do this, then say so so that I can bug a different Inquisitor. If you are going to do this, then please do so quickly so that I can get back to working on them. Either way, I expect a response within forty-eight hours or else I will file a complaint with the rest of the Wookieepedia administration. Thank you. Please don't remove an entire article I made without at least asking first

For one, the structure was the same as the Hoersh-Kessel command core, used for different ships, it's not just the Executor. I could have renamed it "KDY Command Tower" or something instead, but other than that, what you did was unnecessary. VT-16 22:21, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

  • That's not true, as far as I can see. Nothing states the Executor-class command tower was used on that ship. The KDY command tower was used as standard equipment on KDY Star Destroyers. We wouldn't create an article for YT-1300 light freighter cockpit. Everything that was included in that article can be put into the Executor-class article. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:37, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
    • I have the actual book where it has its own article, it says it's a modular design that's used on many classes. It's not a singular structure, it's just the same as with the core ship module and it has an article in the structure category. VT-16 22:52, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
      • I have the book too. And nothing says it was used on the ship you referenced here. The book says it's a "module," as in a standardized unit on Star Destroyers, not "modular." That's not the same thing. To say it used on the Lucrehulk is Original Research. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:59, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
        • What? I never said a KDY module was used on a Hoersh-Kessel design. I said they were similar in their use. Do you understand now? It has a name and an article on the structure category. That's why I did the Command Tower as a structure article and put it in the same category, as well. One is made by KDY, another by H-K. They both serve the same purpose and they both get their own PROFILES in canonical sources. Why remove one article and keep the other? VT-16 23:07, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
        • The difference is that those were specifically "modular," as in being able to attach to different ship classes. Creating an article for the Executor-class command tower is, again, like creating an article for a TIE Fighter cockpit, just because the cockpit is used on pretty much all TIE series fighters. That's silly. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:12, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
          • Ah, ok, I see. How about recreating it with a different name and some of the variations listed or something? I'm short on time and won't be on for a couple of days. VT-16 23:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Mandalorian Neo-Crusader

Since you seem to have reverted my edits, I guess I'l take it up with you. All other Mandalorian organization articles are used in the plural, so shouldn't the Neo-Crusader article also be used in the plural? Ruthless Xero 06:03, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

  • What other Mandalorian organizations? I see no reason why this article shouldn't conform to the singular noun naming convention. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:05, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
  • Well, the True Mandalorians article uses the plural version, and it seems so should any others, seeing as how it includes more than just one person. If it's in singular noun, it seems as if it's about a single person. Ruthless Xero 06:07, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
    • I see no difference between this organization and, say, the Jedi Knights, whose article also follows the single noun convention. If an individual can properly be coined a "True Mandalorian" or a "Mandalorian Neo-Crusader," then the article should be "singular." Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:11, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
      • Well, shouldn't we redirect the True Mandalorians article to True Mandalorian then? Ruthless Xero 06:15, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
        • The difference, it seems, lies over whether the article is about the organization as a plural entity, like a team name, for example: "Yankees." I understand your reasoning here, certainly. This seems to be more of a gray area, and it probably deserves greater discussion. To answer your most recent question, if we are to follow the single noun precedent, then yes, they should all be moved. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:18, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
          • Well, since I guess we've settled on using the single noun variant, should I go move them, or would you prefer to? Ruthless Xero 06:22, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
            • I'm not entirely convinced I'm correct here. I guess the difference is that the Neo-Crusaders were a type of Mandalorian, not necessarily an organization in the true sense like the "Black Vulkars" would necessitate a plural title. If you want to move them, feel free. Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:34, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

  • You may indeed request specific Inquisitorius or AgriCorps members to review your nominations, though that comes with the caveat that many don't like to be pestered too much to have to read something. ;) It's probably best to just have patience and wait in line, as it were. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:22, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
  • Okay, thanks. I'm just glad to have helped. And thank you for your patience.--End0 da Baker 04:26, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Deletions

Well, there was no hint of any conversation in the deletion summaries, just "Administrative: There is no KyLessia system, only the planet KyLessia. Misidentified extrapolation" and "2. Administrative: No Orryxia system. Only the planet Orryxia. Misidentified extrapolation," with the edit summaries for the relevant planets being "3.4 Removed unverified info." Taking what is said in the TABSB at face value, that's simply not true, and I don't feel I was at all unjustified in undeleting them, as "undeletion of an item with clear a canonical basis" is the one explicit exception made in Wookieepedia:Administrative autonomy. So I'm sorry I didn't grasp the full complexity of the situation, but next time you make a deletion where the reason isn't straightforward, you may want to signal that fact in the deletion summary. jSarek 08:43, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Recent Ban

A week ago, you banned me for vandalism to the page Luminara Unduli. I was unaware I was deleting the section I soon discovered I had several times deleted (its repeated deletion was a complicated accident), and would have appreciated a more specific notice of what I was doing wrong.

I attempted to contact you throughout the week via the irc channel, as directed by the warning notice, but was unsuccessful (understandably). I also attempted (somewhat by chance) to get a message to you regarding my situation, but that too may have been profitless. I'm sorry for the repeated deletions. They were inadvertent; I would never have expunged so much of the page wittingly.--Archimedean 00:20, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

  • That's fine. I don't hold grudges with people I ban, I just ask they learn from their mistakes and try not to make them again. Don't feel like you're in my doghouse or anything. Toprawa and Ralltiir 00:25, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Aurra Sing

Requesting your advice/opinion: if you take a look at Aurra Sing, I added a section about her parentage to the article, describing her different physical traits inherited by her father. I put it under the heading "Parentage" right before the "Biography" section. Should I move it down to the bottom and make it a P&T section? I didn't because it's not really anything about her personality, just biology. Or do you think the way I did it looks fine? - JMAS Hey, it's me! 22:22, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

  • It would probably be appropriate to move it exactly as you have down into the P/T and leave it as a "Parentage" sub-section of the P/T. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:25, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Lobar Aybock

Hey, I see that you and Fourdot were the main ones working that got Lobar Aybock up to FA status. I just wanted to bring your attention to an addition of a new infobox image showing him unmasked. I then moved the current infobox image down into the article. Take a look to see if you approve. You can revert it if you don't. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:48, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Fresia

Hey, I know you and (mauser, I think? Can't remember) both removed the deal with the Rancor appearing and not appearing in EaW/FoC, on the grounds that it's trivial, but (while it is, under most circumstances trivial) I think it'd actually be helpful because there is little-to-nothing known about the wild life of the planet, and the rancor's appearance suggests that rancors may be native/immigrated to the planet. It's just something I think should be included until a more conclusive list of Fresia's wildlife is known. Plus, the rancor's presence did force players to rethink their strategies because it was directly between the defenders and the attackers, and the level was too small to easily just go around it. Plus, the articles *is* in need of an extension. Xanofar 05:18, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

April Fool's?

As much as I'd kind of wish for the new policy to happen, since some EU definitely is stupid IMO, are you sure this isn't an April Fool's joke? Hanzo Hasashi 00:51, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Absolutely. The Administration had a lengthy discussion over this matter that went well into last night and early this morning, and it wasn't something we decided on lightly, but our decision stands nevertheless. It would be best if you could help us pass the word that really isn't a joke. It's unfortunate that our decision came on this date. Toprawa and Ralltiir 00:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

EU Canon

I know the admins have decided, but where is all the EU info going to go? The movies alone dont excactly give a lot of useful info about some things.

  • It's just going to be deleted as nonsense. All new edits that add in EU will also be deleted as nonsense. Toprawa and Ralltiir 00:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
  • The admins are corrupt! I will not accept such incompetance!
    • Umm...just a few minutes ago an admin made an edit to an EU article...and it wasn't the removal of information...if EU information is going to be deleted, then why are ADMINS still expanding it? And how/when was the decision to change this policy made anyway? This has got to be the worst organized attempt at a change—and a bad decision to make this change to begin with—that I have ever seen on ANY site. EVER. Unsigned comment by Jonjedigrandmaster (talk • contribs)

sorry forgot to sign. But why would we just delete so much information that people have worked on for endless amounts of time—including you—when it is still considered canon by lucasfilm ltd? This move just doesn't make sense! — Jonjedigrandmaster 20px (Jedi beacon) 21:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Celot Ratua Dil entry

Do you mind if I ask why it needed to be reverted? Having just read "Death Star," I noticed some inaccuracies in the original entry. Ratua didn't have quick reflexes all the time, just when he made a conscious effort to speed himself up. It also goes beyond "quick reflexes"; he moves so fast that everybody else appears to be moving in slow motion to him. I don't understand why explaining what he did in Stihl's class, and that part of the reason was to make people think twice about messing with him, is out of place. Finally, it says in the book that he didn't actually take Stihl's class. He merely observed it from the sidelines and would take part in demonstrations with Stihl for the other students. Stihl asks Ratua how much fight training he's had, and Ratua says "Counting today? Uh, that would be...none."--HanShotFirst 18:20, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Compromise

We NEED to compromise. If YOU DO NOT ADAPT TO THE DEMANDS OF THE USERS ON THIS SITE, you will find that the only people editing this site anymore will be the administration themselves. BUT THEN AGAIN, MAYBE THAT'S THE WAY YOU ADMINS WANT IT. If so, then I suppose this has all been a great success for you.

And before you ask: No, I will not stop bothering the administration on this matter. I CARE ABOUT THIS SITE, WHETHER THE ADMINISTRATION DOES OR NOT.

If a compromise is not reached within the next twenty-four hours, I will resign my status as a user on Wookieepedia, for without the EU, star wars is pwnd by so many other movies, its not even funny: Matrix trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Lord of the Rings, and the Bourne trilogy, to name a few. ONLY WITH THE EU can Star Wars hold its own. And if you delete the EU from this site, then Wookieepedia shall become but a shell of its former self. But then again, maybe that's the way you want it. With all due respect, — Jonjedigrandmaster 20px (Jedi beacon) 22:51, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

  • You're doing a good job Toprawa... this is the most funny April fools ever!!! Jinzler 22:56, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Hey man, extremely well done. I did some digging and finally found some indesputable evidence that this is all a joke after all. But VERY well played by the administration. Though I didn't believe it at first, I began to after a while, and you definitely had me fooled by the end. And it's not easy to fool me, especially when I'm expecting it, so I congratulate you! — Jonjedigrandmaster 20px (Jedi beacon) 23:35, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
      • I was scared that it might've been for real. Ultimately I guess it wouldn't make a difference if something were added to an article saying "this is not canon," but if I were a fan of the book about which the article was written it would suck. So it's a relief that EU stories are still considered canonical here.--HanShotFirst 14:59, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Re:Warning

Sorry, I wasn't intending for it to be editing wars, or even adding unverified info. I just assumed that those could only be the same characters if they were the same actors. Hanzo Hasashi 23:07, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Re: Signature Policy

  • Hello, I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I don't actually believe that I'm in violation of the signature policy. I have 1 image in the signature, which is less than 20 pixels in height, is not an animated .gif file and does not violate the user image policy. It includes my actual username, does not have any font colors as it's an image, and includes only one relevant link. Sorry again to bother you with this, just not sure what I'm doing wrong this time with my signature. NighthawkLeader 22:57, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
    • As stated above, I don't have any font color as the whole signature is an image (was originally done to make signature load more quickly) and is not breaking this rule. However, if you're so set on having it changed, I won't argue about it. NighthawkLeader 01:01, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
      • Also, it does say in the latest policy forum that I can find that a representative picture of the username is allowed. Does this mean that any image in a signature is allowed to be only one color? I'm sorry if I'm annoying you (please don't block me if I am)- I'm just looking for clarification on this policy, and I know you have more important things to do :) NighthawkLeader 01:20, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I did not know that blanking pages of fanon articles was Vandalism. Thank you for the info. I was in fact trying to remove fanon, because IL-19 only exists as a virtual card 1. It is not an officially licensed SWCCG card, and thus not canon. Dark Father 21:53, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Very well. I understand you harbored no ill-intent, but blanking a page is not the way to make it go away. Leave the Delete or Fanon template on the article, and/or contact an administrator to handle the article. When you blank a page, does nothing. Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:08, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

I didn't add that unverified info, I went onto his talk page first just to write it down, but did not actually add that info in his page, nor was I planning to. And it's NOT that I WANT to believe anything, it's just the only logical conclusion I can think of, and sometimes I think a character's story needs to be completed. The new Triage system

After the Inquisitorius' most recent meeting, it was decided to enact a triage system for dealing with the large number of nominations on the FAN page. The Triage page has been set up in the Inquisitorius forum to make it easier for Inqs to see what nominations are best focused on for clearing out the nomination page. This is a tool for helping Inqs combine their efforts on articles, and shouldn't be taken as mandatory; as usual, any Inq is free to review any article they want. - Lord Hydronium 03:21, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Just a quick clarification

Hello, Toprawa.

First, I wanted to clarify something that you brought up on a TC page about the deletion of articles. I was not getting defensive about the deletion of articles and have no issue about articles even being nominated if their usefulness is questioned. That said, however, I do believe that some users are actively voting for deletion wholesale without considering the consequences of deletion. Furthermore, I have not had an objection to the articles that I have seen deleted, for I acknowledge that they would have been speedied under today's policies and views. Perhaps I should have used a different word than "your" in my explanation, but I was referring to the fact that you started the TC and had requested its deletion. I was not accusing you of negligence or superdeletionism. Additionally, I do not, as you suggested, view the process of deletion as a personal issue. I apologize if my wording suggested such, but I most certainly hope you do not think that I hold such a view. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 01:30, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Table

Hey Tope. I made a mock up for a table that you can use. It's pretty much fill-in-the-blank. For any extra rows that you need, you can just copy and paste. If the sorting gets wonky, let me know, and I can change the coding later. Cylka-talk- 07:23, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Deletion

I'm wondering why you deleted Forum:SH:proposed policy. The person was asking what the procedure was for proposing policies; it seems to me that SH is exactly the sort of place where questions like that about the Wook should be asked. - Lord Hydronium 10:28, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes. I was wondering the same thing. Could you please explain? Thank you. - Esjs(Talk) 16:50, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
  • I deleted it because it was off-topic. The SH is not for discussing site-wide policy changes. That's for the CT. The user received a an answer that he should take his proposal to the CT, and I felt the community/administrative response was up there long enough for him to have read and responded in kind. Whether he decides to take his proposal to a CT is up to him. Something like this isn't even worth archiving, so I deleted it. Toprawa and Ralltiir 16:54, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
    • I must say I completely disagree with just about everything you said.
  1. While I agree that the SH is not for discussing site-wide policy changes, that's not what I was doing. I was only asking a question about what the Wookieepedia process was.
"The Senate Hall is a site-wide discussion area meant for topics concerning Wookieepedia. Please feel free to post questions, suggestions, and comments not related to specific articles."
  1. While I did see the two answers posted, I must consider myself lucky because they were only posted for a couple of days before you deleted the topic. I don't think that is "long enough" (what if I had been on vacation?).
  2. Something like this is very much worth archiving. If somebody else has the same question as I do, they should be able to search the Forum namespace and archives to see if the question has already been asked/answered.
- Esjs(Talk) 17:12, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Well, I really don't think this is worth getting worked up about. The fact that it was up there for days after you say you saw it was my very reasoning for deleting it, as I've stated. You did get your answer that these things should be taken to CT, so there's really no harm, no foul. Lord Hydronium could just have effectively left you a talk page message than calling me out on my talk page over this, thus creating this little humdrum that we have going now. If I've acted too rashly, then I apologize. I make mistakes sometimes, and I would ask you to show a little understanding and restraint instead of harping on me about this. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:22, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
      • I wasn't intending to call you out, Top. Just saw it was missing and wondered why. - Lord Hydronium 19:23, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Tope, after voting in the recent TC, I'd like to point your attention at this article. Created by anon, it is based on the artistic license of Scott Hepburn, whose drawings have been known to have little in common with realism in the past. I believe we're dealing with another incarnation of VT-16. Should we CSD the article or what? MauserComlink 12:54, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

P.S. Same goes for Separatist warship (Kadavo). MauserComlink 13:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

List of Jedi

Hi. I have noticed that you have deleted the page "List of Jedi". What was the reason for this? And , where is there a page that can give me names of all possible Jedi? Thanks--POKER 18:30, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

  • List of Jedi was deleted through Wookieepedia's Trash compactor process. You can find Jedi in the Jedi category. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:06, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

IRC

I don't suppose you can come onto IRC for a sec. --Eyrezer 06:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Presumably you couldn't. I was going to check about reformatting that CT, moving some of the contents to the Discussion section etc. In the end I re-did it, separating out the two issues into two votes. Hopefully the one on how to deal with source lists will be straight forward. I have also been treating them the same way as you. --Eyrezer 08:01, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
    • You may want to copy and paste your comments straight across, but I'll leave that up to you. --Eyrezer 08:03, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
