Hi.

Can you help me with something regarding this site?

I'm trying to upload some email correspondences between myself and Ansel Hsiao with the intention of using them as sources, but I can't do that due to a new policy of limiting the uploads to people with a lifetime of edits and also a viable email address. I tried inputting my email (otness_e@mindspring.com) into the my preferences, yet it doesn't seem to recognize that, nor does it really do anything about it. • The filter's there to stop image uploads being abused. You should be able to just enter your email address in preferences. If that's not working for some reason you might need to ask someone from Wikia. Green Tentacle ^(Talk) 23:09, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

Star Trek

Hi GT, this is user:Nadirali. I am messaging to inquire about the Star Trek article on Wookieepedia and why it was deleted?

Is it because it's about a non-Star Wars topic? There are also topics that have references/tributes to Star Wars such as the articles on Star Wars actors and mentions of ET (Steven Speilberg's film).

There also references to SW in that film. In the same manner, Star Trek has a number of references to Star Wars, including cameos. This is documented in the Star Trek wiki and on various websites.

I think the article should be restored. If you think that article needs fixing prior to re-publication I would be happy to do it. In it there were lots of references to Star Wars and actors who appeared in both. Natlie Portman was unaware of them both till she acted in them.

• The article was trash compacted back in 2011 as it was basically a list of unsourced trivia. We don't tend to do articles that are not directly related to Star Wars so I doubt it would last very long if anyone tried to bring it back. Articles on actors can include details of other works they have appeared in so there's nothing to stop you adding any Star Trek appearances to those where appropriate. Or you could try Memory Alpha's Star Wars article or list of references to Star Wars in movies and list of references to Star Wars in television on Star Wars Fanpedia. Star Wars: Obsession

Hello. Could we move Star Wars: Obsession in Timeline of Legends media from the end of the clone wars to between Star Wars: Republic: Dreadnaughts of Rendili and The Brink story from Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Volume 4. Because Padme ses Anakin's scar for the first time. I now Count Dooku betrayder Asajj Ventress, but we could say, Dooku not betrayed her.

Star Wars: TIE Fighter medallion(s)

Hi.

I have a couple of questions regarding the medallion(s) from training various vessels in Star Wars: TIE Fighter:

1. Other than the Missile Boat medallion, are there any other medallions in that game that can be gained via training?

2. If there are, do you think you can upload images of the medallions besides the Missile Boat one to this Wiki? I think we need more articles on those medallions, since medals generally get articles, after all.

    • Done the gold medals. I'm not replaying the game to get the different colours and I don't think there would be much benefit. By the way, where did the names of those articles come from? Problems with TIE Defender Scientist

The question is, I think the scientist is some kind of plot device. The scientist in the game never speaks, does anything on his own accord and is simply needed to help construct TIE Defenders. I got an error while editing

Recently, I have made a major edit on the article Jedha, adding the new info about the moon as we get more close to Rogue One. Even though I was not using the VisualEditor, one small part of my article just keeps giving errors. Here is the exact part that I have been trying to add to the end of "Inhabitants" section:

• Still not sure how I got it, but I've used a hex editor to change a save game's rank and you're right, the Emperor's Reach doesn't get the three arms in the Windows version, only the DOS one. Replaced the image with a new version. If you carry on editing the rank there are three presumably unused tattoos, including the one with three arms which the Windows 98 version labels as "COMPUTER STRINGS". Editing error

Hello there! I recently came across an error when attempting to edit the description of an image entitled Young Leia from the Star Wars Art: Visions art book. The file page in question can be found here http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Young_leia_photo.jpg

Specifically, I was attempting to add a translation of the Aurebesh text in the image. However, when I tried to save my edit, I was given the following message: ”This action has been automatically identified as harmful and therefore disallowed. If you believe your edit was constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do.”

For reference, here is the exact edit I was attempting to add: “|Text=[Translated from Aurebesh] “She continues to speak of the dreams that haunt her. Alone and scared, surrounded by oceans of sand. I fear that these dreams are...” [Remainder of text obscured]”.

I feel the translation is an important addition for 2 reasons: 1. The page does not contain a translation for those unfamiliar with Aurebesh. 2 The dreams mentioned in the text were later incorporated into the (now Legends) contunity by the Official Star Wars Fact File series. Therefore, since the content of the image is part of continuity, I feel the translation is necessary for the sake of completion, thoroughness, and ease of reference.

Please advise on what I should do to save my edit or let me know if you have any concerns.

• Hey. The {{Information}} template doesn't have a field called text so you'll have to add it to description. As for the error message, your addition was fine but you triggered an abuse filter intended to prevent new users from abusing the upload facility. Per the upload page instructions: "To upload files, you must have: (1) an account that is at least four days old; (2) at least fifty edits on Wookieepedia; and (3) a confirmed email address in your preferences." That applies to editing existing image pages too. Not sure if you've confirmed your email address but you have less than 50 edits so it's probably that. Hey, I had a question if I am allowed to make an article (a list) and I asked Lewis about it. He said he would be okay if some other admins would be okay with it as well. He also asked me to ask some other admins. So here is my original message: I am interested in a Jedi-list in the wiki. But I know you admins are against lists here because they often become poorly maintained and sourced. But I do know for a fact that I would maintain it well (because that's in my own interest) and would source every single cell in the table. And a list naturally brings some advantages over the category site: canon-legeneds-difference, more details with a quick look and in general better visuals. Hello, I recently gave TIE/D Defender a full read (Great work on the article by the way). However, I noticed that newer FFG cards were recently added to Sources, and there is currently a redlink to an Expansion Pack.

It would also be good to check the audiobooks for the novels, namely X-Wing: Isard's Revenge, X-Wing: Starfighters of Adumar, The New Jedi Order: The Final Prophecy, The New Jedi Order: The Unifying Force, and Fate of the Jedi: Ascension. the Wookieepedia discord directed me here und recommended I bring the following issue to you: I noticed that in your article Great Heep you reference "The Great Heep" (the episode) several times in a row without another source between them, supposedly because you first referenced both parts of the episode for themselves and they were only merged later to be one reference. I spotted several of them in the "Characteristics" section and one in the biography (where you end the story of the episode's first part and start with the second). Proposed tool to display only pages in a certain continuity within category pages

Hello, Green tentacle!

As you may know, I have officially proposed that all in-universe category pages be split by continuities. Xd1358 suggested that instead of splitting categories, we instead create a tool to filter pages in a category by continuity, and he told me that you said that you would be willing to look into creating a "JS/whatever powered GUI for DPL", as he put it, which would give users the option to select a certain continuity they wanted to see within category pages. I have absolutely no idea what any of those abbreviations mean, but apparently you do. If such a tool can be created, then that would be a lot easier than having to split every category.
