- "The egg became the perfect base for a thick, frothy batch of this nog, which kept me merry through an entire season."
- ―Strono Tuggs,The Life Day Cookbook
Mudhorn Eggnog was a thick and frothy beverage that used the egg of a mudhorn as a base. It had white and brown foam on top. The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs created a batch of Mudhorn Eggnog that lasted him an entire season from a Mudhorn egg that he acquired from a group of Jawas on[1] the planet[2] Arvala-7 while trying to purchase a hypersonic oven. He later included a recipe for the beverage in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, which he released at some point after publishing his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Mudhorn Eggnog was created as one of the recipes for the cookbook Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, which was written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas.[1] The book was released on November 2, 2021, although the eggnog recipe was first revealed in a StarWars.com preview released on July 27, 2021.[4] The out-of-universe recipe requires whole milk, half-and-half, vanilla extract, a cinnamon stick, salt, egg yolks, granulated sugar, egg whites, confectioners' sugar, ground nutmeg, and ground cinnamon.[1]
