"It's got a rainbow of festive flavors floatin' in it, includin' a glob of signature Hutt green. Grab a glass and give your ears a rest, because this one is music to your mouth!"
―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook[1]

Joh Blastoh Punch was a foamy, dark red beverage with floating blue chunks that was created by the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs. He was inspired to create the drink after one of his sous-chefs threatened to punch someone if she had to listen to the Huttese song "Joh Blastoh" again during the festive Life Day season.[1]

Tuggs talked his colleague down from violence and ultimately included a recipe for Joh Blastoh Punch in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, which he released at some point after publishing his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY.[2] In the book, Tuggs claimed the drink was tasty and described it as containing a wide variety of festive flavors including a glob of signature Hutt green.[1]

Behind the scenes

Joh Blastoh Punch was created as a recipe for the 2021 Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe recipe uses cranberry juice, pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, and rainbow sherbet.[1]
