The Wookiee-Ookiees, also spelled Wookie Ookiee,^[1]^[3] were a type of cookie found at the Milk Stand in Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu. The chocolate dessert was edible by humans^[1] and sold in 34 ABY.^[4]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Wookiee-Ookiees were first mentioned in a recipe in the 2021 Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe recipe uses all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, unsalted butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, large eggs, molasses, vanilla extract, pink icing, and white icing.^[2]

Wookiee-Ookiees were available for purchase in the real world at the Milk Stand at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland in Anaheim, California starting in the 2023 Life Day celebration, which corresponded with the real-world holiday season. They returned to Disneyland for the 2024^[5] and 2025 holiday seasons.^[6] The dessert is distinct from other Wookiee-related cookies sold at Disneyland, often bearing some variant of the name Wookiee Cookie.^[7] The menu at the Milk Stand described the cookie as "pecan chocolate shortbread with salted caramel."^[1] The cookie had a soft, chocolate base topped with many pecans. The caramel was found atop and within the center of the cookie.^[7]
