- "Create some new memories with this edible jellied version, a dessert that you and your loved ones ain't never gonna forget!"
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook
Jelly Life Day Orbs were a dessert that consisted of white, jellied orbs that imitated the orbs traditionally used as decoration during the Wookiee holiday of Life Day. At some point after publishing his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY,[2] Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included a recipe for the dessert in his second cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, where he assured readers that the orbs were unforgettable.[1]
Behind the scenes
Jelly Life Day Orbs were introduced in Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, a recipe book authored by Marc Sumerak and Jenn Fujikawa with photography by Ted Thomas[1] and published on November 9, 2021.[3] Prior to the book's release, the orbs were pictured in a StarWars.com preview for the book on July 27 of that year.[4] The out-of-universe ingredients for the dish include superfine sugar, agar-agar powder, water, and edible luster dust.[1]
