The Tree of Life was a tree located on^[1] the Mid Rim planet^[2] Kashyyyk. It was sacred to the native Wookiee people, who traditionally held their longstanding Life Day celebration around the tree.^[1] To represent the original Tree of Life, Wookiee families typically chose an ancient tree, which they adorned with shining Life Day Orbs. Those who were far from Kashyyyk could conduct a simple ritual around an image of a tree or a mere piece of wood.^[3]
