- "And since there ain't no event more special than the holidays, seems like the perfect time to enjoy a hunk of kod'yok glazed in wroshyr sap syrup."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook
Glazed Kod'yok was a holiday main course made with a hunk of the meat of the kod'yok beasts native to the world of Vandor. The meat was then traditionally glazed in wroshyr sap syrup. After Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs published his first cookbook[1] in 34 ABY,[2] he included a recipe for Glazed Kod'yok in his holiday-themed cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, where he mentioned that, since kod'yoks had been hunted so much on Vandor, their scarcity made their meat special and fitting for the holidays. Tuggs also mentioned that brub berry sauce would be suitable as a topping for the dish.[1]
Behind the scenes
Glazed Kod'Yok was introduced in the 2021 recipe book Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, authored by Marc Sumerak and Jenn Fujikawa. The out-of-universe recipe for the dish includes ham, brown sugar, maple syrup, pineapple juice, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, black pepper, and nutmeg.[1]
