Hyperspace images
Hello Cav! Now that I'm working on the pylat article, I wanted to include a piece of concept art of the "Neimoidian cage bird" by Terryl Whitlatch in the BTS. However, that pic used to be in the "Galactic Gallery" of the Hyperspace fan club on StarWars.com. I know that, back in the days, taking individual pictures from Hyperspace was a huge no-no as it was considered copyright infringement. As this policy changed now that Hyperspace is offline for good? --Lelal Mekha

We need a settlement on the Imperial Army page.
Hi.
As you probably already know by now, the Imperial Army page had replaced the units section with a table. I thought it was necessary to add in a specializations section in the table, especially when articles are going to be created on those specializations anyways (you'd know, since you're creating them), but Cade Calrayn thought it was unneeded. New Rebel Alliance Project Proposal
Hello Cavalier One, I originally proposed this project to JangFett, but he said I should speak to you rather, because you are involved in more Rebel-related Projects.
I propose implementing a project to update, (originally rapidly update, but Jang said article quality might be reduced), in full, with all the latest information pertaining to the Rebel Alliance, it's allies and it's origins. I propose this because I've become tired of seeing so many of these articles with content out of date. This would be a mass (but orderly) updating of such articles. Do you think this would be worth the effort?MadMarek

Hey, Cav, not sure if you've gotten the new Fact Files, but issue #10 mentions the Battle of Tiems. Specifically: "Whether overseeing the Alliance withdrawal at Dankayo, sabotaging Imperial Intelligence or defending evacuation convoys at the Battle of Tiems, Rieekan had demonstrated a distinct talent for getting his men out of desperate situations alive. When the Rebel base was routed by Imperial forces after the Battle of Yavin and it appeared that General Dodonna was killed in the attack, Rieekan seemed a natural choice to replace him as commander of Rebel Alliance operations."
To me, that seems like it's saying that the Battle of Tiems happened prior to the Evacuation of Yavin—what do you think? Also, the entry also specifies that Tiems was post-Alderaan—it says that he only fully committed to the Alliance after Alederaan's destruction. So, if I'm right, you can place Tiems in 0 ABY. I don't get it, if Luminara is showed alive in a cannon source, it means that the legend scource was wrong, so she can't be showed dead. Her scene was cut from star wars episode III, so they took advantage of that to bring an old jedi to the new times.

Locked page issue
Hello again, Cav. Wondering if you could help me out with a couple of things. First off, the Wookieepedia:Layout Guide/Out-of-universe needs to be fixed, but it's fully protected, so I can't do it. The stuff about the Title tag needs to be removed and in Eras explain that title is used there now. Redirects and case-sensitivity
Please don't create redirects at titles that have no difference with the target title other than case. The search function has not been case-sensitive for several years, so such redirects are unnecessary at best and actively harmful at worst because they foul up Wikia's link suggestion feature, which prefers capitalized titles and won't show the correct lowercase title if a capitalized version exists, even as a redirect. Deletion of Consular-class space cruiser
Hi Cavalier One! I was wondering if you could do me a favor. You see, I was wondering if you could delete the page Consular-class space cruiser. Currently it redirects to the Legends page, Consular-class cruiser, however the canon name for the ship is Consular-class space cruiser. There is already a canon page for the ship, however it has /Canon at the end of it, which isn't necessary since the regular space cruiser page is just a redirect. Page Deletion
Hey Cavalier. I was wondering if you could delete the Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor page. You see, the Legends page for the Eta-2 is Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor, while the current canon one is Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor/Canon. Since the Legends one doesn't have "light" in the page name, there's no point in having /Canon at the end of the canon page. I tried to edit the Salo Gardner and Trinto Duabo pages , but it thought I was adding a virus or something, but I wasn't. Basically , there's a weird link that someone put on the page after you removed it, but it doesn't work for some reason. It looks like someone tried to spell out the jedinews article, but their computer farted out on them. It may be referring to a article they had the other day, that they later said was discussed as being wrong on Facebook. When you try to go to Facebook however, they say the post has been deleted, so I wonder if whoever made it made a mistake. I've gotten Salo gardened autograph before, and he's such a nice man, so maybe someone can tweet Chris trevas, to see what he meant by Salo Gardner didn't play Trinto Duabo because now, the page for him here says he didn't, but since the Facebook post has been deleted, it's like a he said she said moment, so we don't know what happens. Until trevas responds, shouldn't the page use the source it had before, as well, since I remember that link worked a few days ago when I clicked on it.

Query regarding New Republic Fleet articles
I want to begin adding information to our New Republic Defense Fleet article and the articles on the New Republic's five battle groups from The Essential Guide to Warfare, specifically on New Republic fleet organizations. However, Warfare and the Atlas both refer to the battle groups as commands within the New Republic's five fleets, while we still title our New Republic fleet articles "New Republic Fourth Battle Group", "New Republic Fifth Battle Group", etc., which is a stumbling block on me adding new information. Switchover between Legends and Canon subpages
Hello, I am one of administrators of Czech Star Wars encyclopedia (cs.starwars.wikia.com). Currently we are using the same system for navigation between Canon and Legends articles as on Wookieepedia and therefore I also would like to carry out the switchover. However my knowledge of Wikia bots is very limited. Could you maybe give me some information or hints about the switchover? What steps I need to make etc.? Palmgun is not a Palm Blaster
The "Palm Blaster" in "Cracken's Rebel Operatives" on page 79, does 2D Damage. The "Short-range Palmgun" in the "Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook" on page 87, does 3D+1 damage. These two hold-out blasters are not the same weapon, they have different stats. Request for Assistance
Hello. I need your help in dealing with some users who continue to try and add speculation to the page on HK-47. I have repeatedly told them to stop, yet they continue. A brief on the issue: In Star Wars: The Old Republic, HK-47 appears multiple times and is defeated each time. The last of these times is on Yavin 4, fighting alongside Revan. Later, an HK-55 happens upon a HK-47 duplicate head and speculates that duplicates may have been why HK-47 seems to reappear so much. But nowhere is this confirmed to be true, nor is the HK-47 that fought at Yavin 4 confirmed to have been a duplicate. I have had to constantly revert there edits. I know I have broken the 3 RRR rule, but that is to prevent these users from uploading speculation as canon. Current Wiki layout.
Hi.
The wiki layout seems to be a bit broken, as you can't access 4/5ths of the tabs on here, and you can't even edit articles directly (at most, you can only edit sections, which won't do you any good if you can't even access the infobox as a result). Ranks vs Positions II: Electric Boogaloo
Hello there! While I was glancing over the appearances list of Battlefront II: Inferno Squad, I realized that we never quite solved the issue of ranks vs positions, which we discussed a few months ago. Given that new positions keep popping up in new books, I think it's high time we delve deeper into the matter. I'd like to work on a solution with you, since you showed interest at the time. On a related note, I also think that articles like "Chief Engineer" (soon to be renamed as a Legend article, but I digress) are improperly titled; it should be "chief engineer," all in lowercase, because it's about the position itself rather than the title. - Ah, yes, I hadn't thought of the linking issue. But at any rate, we should strive for consistency and stick to one style—my preference goes to the non-capitalised variant, as you've probably guessed, although I admit it's not the easiest option. Now, when it comes to finding a way of differentiating ranks and positions, I've been thinking... As you've mentioned it before, there can be quartermasters at a pirate base, so it wouldn't be entirely right to simply place it in a putative "military occupations" category. But nothing prevents us from adding such articles to multiple categories at once. For example, "quartermaster" could go in two categories respectively titled "military occupations" and "transport and logistics occupations." As you pointed out, you can have a first mate on a civilian ship, which prevents us from simply putting it under the "military occupations" folder. I wish to ask if you would allow myself or another to change the photo on the page of Bill Smith, author of numerous star wars rpg books from the west end games days to include his whole family in his page picture, that is his wife and his young son Billy. I am a long time personal friend of Bill's (having met his little brother in kindergarten and been a personal friend of the entire family ever since [31 years as of this year]) and have asked he and his family's permission to better reflect the life he has now in his profile. Rey Image
Why exactly is this image now protected against reversions and edits? There is no rule stating that transparent images are required but on the flip side there is absolutely no rule that says they are not allowed. In this case, the transparent image was of much higher quality. - Well, the image as it currently stands does not look well at all in the infobox. Most of images on this wiki that are of a promotional posed photo that have been pasted over a background on either a book cover and/or Card Trader app have subsequently been modified to remove the background. No one had a problem with the transparent image for months. The point is, nothing was wrong with the original image. The crop of the current image is not very good for the infobox and the edit protection should be uplifted in order to either fix the crop or make it a transparent image again. --Benjay2345 (talk) 22:24, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
- Also, a standee exists with this exact Rey image so there should be no problem removing the background as a source exists where this image does not contain a background. In either case though, when a background is not specific to the image (such as book covers and Card Trader) the image should be allowed to be made transparent as it is not modifying the image itself..--Benjay2345 (talk) 23:11, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
