Welcome, ProfessorTofty!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. GAN
Hello, Tofty. I'd like to talk with you regarding your current GAN, Escape from Darth Vader. Are you able to come onto IRC presently? Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:07, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
Re: WOR
Thanks for letting me know! I like the setup. Good choice to merge the pages, it makes more sense that way. :) --Dentface (talk) 03:14, January 6, 2016 (UTC)

Regarding the bit of uncertainty over the Escape from Darth Vader illustrator, I just noticed on the book's cover, if you look closely next to C-3PO's leg, you can see the initials "SR." So I think that pretty much confirms it for us. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 06:01, January 6, 2016 (UTC)
Star Wars: Uprising
Hello there, Tofty! I wondered whether you were playing Star Wars: Uprising too. You see, there seem to be very few of us who contribute to adding lore from that game. I do my best to add things these days, but I just can't seem to keep up with everything; I'm simply overwhelmed. I was thinking of mounting an "Uprising Project," and wanted to know if you'd be interested. --LelalMekha (talk) 20:51, February 3, 2016 (UTC)
- All right, then, I understand. :-) i think I'm going to write a Senate Hall post, though. Who knows... maybe I'll find some help there. --LelalMekha (talk) 21:03, February 3, 2016 (UTC)

Hey Tofty, sorry I haven't been around much as of late. I'm on IRC right now, and I'm also free tomorrow night if that works for you. Supreme Emperor (talk) 00:36, February 13, 2016 (UTC)
Re: Escape from Darth Vader
Whoops, sorry for the oversight. Let me read through the article again (since it's been a few months and it's no doubt changed since I last looked at it) and see if there's anything else. Asithol (talk) 02:20, February 24, 2016 (UTC)
- Done. Posted a few suggested fixes, none of them major. Some are trivial things I could have just fixed myself, but others require some editorial discretion, so I just dumped the whole lot on you to sort out. :) Also, your profile says you're eagerly anticipating Episode VII, which I hope is no longer true... Date issues
Hi Professor Tofty,
Thanks for pointing out the date issues to me. No worries, there is nothing wrong with my signature. I don't use fancy signatures. It was a slip of the tongue or pen. I had so many things on my mind that I typed in the wrong year. Will go and correct them. Andykatib 01:31, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Re:Zare Leonis
Hey Tofty, sorry for not getting back sooner—I've been on vacation for the past week and haven't had a chance to read and respond to your request until now. I'd be more than happy to have a look over the Zare Leonis page. Cevan (talk) 21:28, June 6, 2016 (UTC)
Eras Lego
Hi there,
Thanks for the brief message about Eras on my talk page. Sorry, was having dinner and cleaning the dishes. I have left a message on the Administrator's Noticeboard. Cade and the other admins should pick it up eventually. Most folks in the Northern Hemisphere would just have started their summer holidays. I'm in New Zealand and it's winter. If nobody takes notice of the message, I'll probably leave a message on Cade's talk page. Thanks for checking on my edits and making corrections. I have placed a deletion tag on that Badawans image I uploaded since it was taken from another website. Wish you all the best and may the Force be with you. Andykatib 07:37, June 12, 2016 (UTC)

Can you please put Canon and Legends continuity on the the Lightsaber combats crystal article such as Sai cha, Sai tok, Shiak etc.; only the ones that have been seen or mentioned in the the original films, as well as in the animated series of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.--Dameter (talk) 14:32, July 17, 2016 (UTC)

Leia in the mountain palace
Hi, ProfessorTofty! I've seen that you've been updating the article on Star Wars: ABC-3PO for some time, so I logically assume you must own the book. I wanted to ask you this: apart from the continuity mistake (re: Alderaan's lack of moon), is the picture of Leia standing on a baclony of any interest for our mountain palace article? Cheers. --LelalMekha (talk) 19:42, August 21, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up; I tried looking at the MP but I couldn't find any link earlier :P As for the Community Portal, that's a page I've been meaning to revamp/retire for ages now and I'm not sure if removing one out of a dozen retired features is useful. Re: Access date
Got it. I've changed the access date to today as, actually visiting it today, nothing has changed on that individual page. And I'm not sure what you mean by the source not supporting my citation of Alf Joint's playing Brooks Carlson, as his name is shown in the top photo corresponding to the then-unnamed extra who would later on be called Carlson by the CCG. A tip for spotting links to redirects
Hello there! As someone who writes articles, I think you might be interested in a way to make links that go to redirects more noticeable, since they should be directing straight to the article and not a redirect page. Instead of having to click each link in your articles to see where they lead, just type the following in you own personal common.css:
a.mw-redirect
{
color: orange;
}
This will make any links to redirects appear orange so you can know to change them without having to follow each link individually. MasterFred(Whatever) 07:16, April 29, 2017 (UTC)
- No worries! I was suddenly rushed to finish my review and get off my computer, else I would've just fixed the links. MasterFred

Zhaboka
Hey Tofty, sorry to be the bringer of bad news but it seems that we are now treating Star Wars in 100 Scenes as non-canon, I think it's because it was released pre-story group or something, so it seems that unless Zhaboka is named in any other source it'll have to be deleted --Lewisr (talk) 12:24, June 22, 2017 (UTC)

Hello Tofty! Thanks for reviewing the Vendusii sector GAN! I recently somewhat overhauled the article's referencing, so I'd appreciate it if you could take a second look at the article to make sure you still think it's worthy of GA status. Thanks! Imperators II(Talk) 06:20, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

Your new CT says "instead it would only carry Template:Moviespoiler" where it almost certainly means "instead it would only carry [[Template:Majorspoiler]]." As only you have voted so far, I think it's probably safe to just fix it without suspicion of voting irregularities. Asithol (talk) 21:39, December 22, 2017 (UTC)
Stay out of it
Tofty, I'm going to ask you to please stay out of this matter. It doesn't concern you, and at this point your intercession is likely to accomplish nothing but further antagonizing the user. The administration is handling it. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 21:41, February 25, 2018 (UTC)

Pretty questionable
In response to your pretty questionable grasp of Wookieepedia policies and practices, I'd suggest reading and learning the contents of this section, specifically the bullet point about Amazon product pages. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 23:26, November 19, 2019 (UTC)
- No, I just think it's quesitonable and unnecessary to post a template suggesting that an article is going to be deleted for something that's obviously real and is a minor fix. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:49, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
- I am not obligated to pick up your lagging; on the contrary, I hope that adding the template will have the effect of actually making you learn something. You've been editing here for eight years. It's about time you learn how to properly create real-world articles. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:53, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
- I have so many things I want to say, but I won't, because it's clear I'd be wasting my breath. I'll only just say this - it'd behoove you to sit down and have a good think about the way you address people sometimes. In all the time I've been here, nobody gets my goat more than you do. ProfessorTofty (talk) 00:58, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
- No, George, you're not the victim here. Wookieepedia is. My job as an administrator isn't to coddle you and make sure you're being made to feel special. It's to make sure our policies are being followed, meaning that articles are being created and referenced properly. When that isn't happening, we're not fulfilling our mission as a wiki. I'm tough on you because your editing is frequently incompetent, and you never seem to learn or improve. That's an objective criticism backed up by Wookieepedia policy, not a personal slight. Case in point, you still didn't format those two articles correctly: 1) It's "External links" (Policy: "The section is called 'External links,' even if the article only has one external link"); 2) The Amazon reference needs a backup link, which is why the "Pages with missing permanent archival links" category is showing up on the article (Policy: "When citing an external link, a permanent archival link must also be included in the citation template if available."); 3) Missing bullet point in the External links (Policy: "The External links section is a bulleted list of out-of-universe links..."); 4) The "External links" section goes after "Notes and references," not before (Policy). These are some of the most elementary requirements of our article layout policy, and there's really no excuse for someone who has been editing here for nearly a decade to still not be able to get this right. That's why I'm hard on you, but I've never personally insulted or demeaned you, so don't try and level some kind of veiled threat against me. Rather, it would be behoove you to learn and apply our Wookieepedia policies when editing and creating articles, which are "standards that everyone must follow." Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 15:49, November 20, 2019 (UTC)
- I don't appreciate the statement that I am in some way trying to threaten you. I will try to do better. ProfessorTofty (talk) 17:33, November 20, 2019 (UTC)

Voorpee and Continuity
Hello there! I am currently nominating Yarael Poof/Legends for featured status, and we've come across a unique issue that I believe you may have insight on as the nominator of the current status article Voorpee. There is content from the book Jedi Academy: At Last, Jedi involving Yarael. I believe when I first put the content from the book on Yarael's Legends article, we had used Voorpee as precedent to decide that the content would be placed on Yarael's Legends article (that original conversation is one I haven't had a very easy time locating again, unfortunately). However, we've started discussing it again now that the nomination is underway and we're honestly a bit unsure that the content should actually remain there, especially as the later Jedi Academy books (of which At Last, Jedi is the final entry) started incorporating content from the Canon continuity. I was wondering if you would have any insight on the matter for the time preceding any final policy-related decisions on the series. Thanks, and apologies for the intrusion! - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 08:20, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
