RE: Help with Template:Title
Hi CzechOut. In your MediaWiki:Wikia.js, you're not loading the rewriteTitle function, so it's not getting called. So, you need to add this after the function:
addOnloadHook( rewriteTitle );
That should fix it. Also, in the MediaWiki:Wikia.js you don't need importScript('MediaWiki:Common.js'); since that gets loaded automatically in all skins, so no need to import. Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any issues with it. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 23:38, January 31, 2011 (UTC)
- Basically, Wikia.css is for Oasis-specific CSS, Monobook.css is for monobook specific, and Common.css is for both. Previously, Common.css used to be loaded in all skins, but now it doesn't load in Oasis so we generally import it into Wikia.css. Having Common.css is useful mainly because it allows you to edit just one CSS file that will affect both Monobook and Oasis. This is generally for CSS that will be common to both, such as tables, infoboxes, etc. Then leaving skin-specific CSS to their respective CSS files. You shouldn't import Wikia.css into Monobook.css or Common.css if it contains CSS specific to Oasis, such as something calling on an ID that is only in the Oasis skin. So it's up to you how you want to write your CSS and so forth, but that's the general idea. Hope it made sense. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 04:30, February 2, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Preloads
Hey CzechOut. Happy Holidays to you too! This should add that input box. :) Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 14:36, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
MOS and LG
While your recent contributions are appreciated, please completely follow the Manual of Style and Layout Guide. Specifically, be sure to add Appearances or Sources section. Cheers.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 04:16, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
- All in-universe articles must have either Appearances or Sources section, depending on what kind of media it is. For Darth Plagueis, it should have an Appearances section. The Notes and references is not always needed, although it is encouraged. The Appearances or Sources section is required, though, as stated in the MOS and LG.—Cal Jedi

- Also, in answer to your question about "use best judgment," it means that whether an article will need sub-sections and such with the layout of articles in "Biography," "History," "The Battle," etc. The Appearances or Sources is always needed.—Cal Jedi

RE: Custom preloads
Hi CzechOut. Figured I'd post here as well to make sure you get the reply. I realised it used to work differently where it didn't add the "Template:" and "/preload" so you could use any page. Fixed once and twice. :) Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 22:40, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
DMA video
I'm sure its probably an interesting video - I just can't access it! My Disney account I registered years ago is apparently ineligible to sign in on DMA, even after a password reset, and I can't register a new account either. I think it might be a geo-blocker thing? Trying to work around by trying to sign into other Disney sites and then hoping the login sticks didn't work either. Thanks for the heads up, though - I'll see if Brandon can't post it. I assume he has an account that will work. - Sir Cavalier of One(Squadron channel) 01:48, May 5, 2015 (UTC)
Infobox
The [Hide] button's not necessary; I don't think it's hardly used at all anymore. That's why I left it off of Template:Era/Draft. Cade Calrayn 03:06, December 8, 2015 (UTC)
Infobox issues
So, now that I'm back from my semi-Wook-vacation and it's February, we've got a number of issues with the infoboxes that need resolving.
- The multi-column fields - commander, forces, casualties, etc. are only showing the fields that have content, so we end up with single fields spanning the whole infobox, like the casualties fields on Battle of Haruun Kal and the casualties/commanders fields on Assault on an Imperial outpost.
- Additionally, the widths of the event infoboxes is really quite bad. Is there not a way to have the width adjust depending on the number of fields? I can see a way to do it with parameter-checking, making {{Battle}} a wrapper that determines which of the three width-specific templates to use, but there's gotta be a cleaner/more native way of doing it.
- Also, any news on
- supporting captions in infobox image fields
- the imageBG issue—while we haven't cleared out the rest of the false positives, easily the first fifty or so results in Category:imageBG need some sort of background functionality. That'd also help with the too-tall image problem like on Xexto.
Thanks. Cade Calrayn 14:41, February 1, 2016 (UTC)
Re: Canon / Legends switcher
Hi and thanks for the bot tip.
Our tab system isn't working well in mobile browsers right now. They don't show up in mobile Chrome at all from what I can see and in the Fandom app, they look ugly and clicking them takes me to an error page. Most pages with tabs have only two of them–Canon and Legends—but there are instances with three as well, as seen on Luke Skywalker. I guess the first priority would be to get the tabs to work at all in mobile Chrome. Of course it would be great if they could look like the desktop version, but I'm aware that it might not be very mobile-friendly. The most important thing is that the reader can actually spot the tabs (and recognize they're clickable tabs). The banner in the top right of the page on desktop version isn't that important IMO; currently it shows up in the app but clicking the icons just takes me to an error page, and in mobile Chrome it doesn't show up at all. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 10:49, September 20, 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, and I just tried out your syntax for the bot, but it doesn't seem to be working. I tried with -ref, -page and even -xml but it can't find anything. Any ideas? 1358 (Talk) 10:58, September 20, 2017 (UTC)
Seems good to me in Chrome on Android. I don't suppose there's anything you can do about the Fandom Star Wars app as well? The desktop eras version is visible in it. Anyway, thanks for the help. 1358 (Talk) 22:49, December 12, 2017 (UTC)
- It was brought to my attention that the title formatting feature of {{Top}} is broken. For example, on Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, the displayed title should have some italics:
{{Top|type=canon|sprot|mprot|real|title=''Star Wars'': Episode III ''Revenge of the Sith''}}. I'm not sure if it was broken by this recent change, but maybe you'd know how to fix it. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 18:57, December 14, 2017 (UTC)- Another issue: Using
comp, goodorfeaturedin the template does not automatically categorize them as Category:Wookieepedia comprehensive articles, Category:Wookieepedia good articles, and Category:Wookieepedia featured articles, respectively. 1358 (Talk) 19:02, December 14, 2017 (UTC)- There's no issue why the Legends/Canon banner shouldn't appear in mobile, to my knowledge. I don't know what you mean by "navigation template". I'm assuming this has something to do with Wikia's fancy template classification system, which we don't really use here. 1358 (Talk) 21:51, December 14, 2017 (UTC)
- Another issue: Using
Re: Is it important, for instance, that Kylo Ren's page, on mobile, says "canon"? — Yes, I think that's important, because it's not really obvious unless you're familiar with the source material in question or you read the Behind the scenes section. Sorry for the slow answer. 1358 (Talk) 21:16, December 17, 2017 (UTC)
Battle Template
I was told to get in contact with you by Andykatib because you work on the Battle Template alot for Star Wars and I was wondering if you could edit the Battle Template on my wikia aka Demon Accords Wiki.

Duplicate arg in template
In your User:CzechOut/Ship page, there is a duplicated argument in your first template. The "namedcrew" variable happens twice, as does the "captains" variable. Those duplicates cause it to appear in this maintenance category. -- Sulfur (talk) 16:55, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
