Unknown forces
Do not add "unknown" to the casulalties and forces sections on Battle articles. If we don't know, the infobox field is left blank. NaruHina Talk

Re: Infoboxes
I removed them because we leave the bullets off when it's a single item. For reference: Battle near the Arda system, Battle over Kothlis, Skirmish aboard the Leviathan. All those are status articles, and there are many others I could show you. So, please just refrain from adding the bullets to single-item infoboxes. Thank you for your cooperation.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 03:24, April 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Not really. Since it's only one item, there's no need to have a separate bullet point for it. Cheers.—Cal Jedi

Re: FAN/GAN
Hey, Supreme Emperor. Anyone with enough mainspace edits can review and support (or leave objections, if necessary) GANs/FANs. They do require so many AgriCorps or Inquisitorius votes, respectively. However, like I said, users can review them, as they do contribute to the user count of the support vote. Cheers.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 01:46, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

Re:KyranEllis
Hey, thanks for the heads up. I don't necessarily think it's vandalism, I think Kyran just has no idea how the Wook works - though she has has several fanon violations. You were correct in reverting her, and I see Tranner's taken control so there's not much more to worry about. Glad to know you're interested in helping out. I've attempted to explain this already to Weedle, the GrS dates are pure speculation and are also grossly incorrect as a 3 month difference between the the galactic calendar and GrS has never been verified. Rokkur Shen (talk) 23:20, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I'm not a user on this wiki. You left an invitation to sign up on User Talk: 124.181.152.246. Thanks for that, I am constantly editing as a wiki contributer across the wiki. Welcome template usage
I would think that this would be obvious, but apparently not: when welcoming users with {{W}}, replace "your_username" with your actual (and exact) username. Otherwise, the "my talk page" link is broken, as seen at User talk:EpicZealot1239. Also, use ~~~~ instead of copying your signature in, as the former includes the timestamp, which is required by policy. —MJ— War Room 04:43, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

Ventress
Hi, on Dooku's article could you please copy the information into the BTS section? My computer has been having glitches. Here's the exact quote from leland Chee, as seen in Note 49 of Ventress's article.
"We treat just the parts related to the death and anything involving Asajj's fate as no longer canon. The broad strokes of what happens with Durge and a conflict happening on Boz Pity still apply. The series always trumps what happens in the EU, but we try to salvage what we can."
Therefore the part about Dooku dueling Windu should be kept. Thanks! Perhaps you can use Even Piell's article as an example. --ID-21 Dolphin

First skirmish in Cuipernam
Duel at Sundari
Thanks for the tip! I doubt any good will come of it, from what I've seen of Cade and Jang so far, but I'll definitely try that. By the way, what is your opinion on separating out the duel, just as with the majority of the other important lightsaber duels (e.g. Duel on Yavin 4, Duel on Death Star II, etc.)? If you think it's unnecessary I'll remove it, but I felt that the duel deserved more in-depth coverage. May the Force be with you, Milar Kayne (talk) 15:35, March 15, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding redlinks
I've been told that the tag should only be there on article with 5 or more redlinks, below that and it's not really an excess of redlinks. If that were he case, about 50% or more of the articles on the wiki should have the redlink template on. I personally think 2 is acceptable. 78.97.91.207 12:30, March 24, 2013 (UTC)

Inactive Users
Hello, I have yet another question for you. If a user is inactive, yet never made a userpage (like Jedi Knight Zinquinthia25) should I create their userpage and add the Inactive template or should I just leave it? Thanks once again! - Princess GLG 01:57, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

In reference to Interference that I went through and edited last night... thank you for deleting one of my sections... how about you just ask next time and i'll gladly fix my error FOR YOU.. and if we don't do trivia we definitely do behind the scenes.. which is basically the same thing.. thanks again. your fellow editor --deanmichael 21:11, April 4, 2013 (UTC)
Inactive user tagging
If you'd like to really go on a tagging spree, here's a dynamic list of user pages not tagged with {{Inactive}}: User:Master Jonathan/Sandbox2. A scan of the first 25 registered (non–IP address) users list showed that 23 were inactive. The list will automatically remove pages as you tag them; once a large number of active users begins to build up at the top of the list, you can (provided that you are working strictly from the top down) change the "title>" parameter to the username of the last user you verified was active, and the list will exclude all user pages above and including that user (and I've giving you permission to edit my page to do that). Have fun! :D —MJ— Training Room 05:07, April 5, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Supreme Emperor thanks for the invitation to project novels! To be honest with you I normally focus on articles from RPG material or comics as well as some stuff from video games when I feel like taking screenshots, however with my current interest in species I imagine I will be writing articles from a range of sources on that subject so I'd be happy to join. I won't really be able to help till summer because of exams and I kind of want to concentrate on the barn-burner at the moment but once I finish those I'll contact you and start on the page. Feel free to start before hand without me if you want, creating some of the sub-pages we'll need would probably be especially useful. Ayrehead02 (talk) 12:27, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

Questions
All righty, then. Here goes:
- For starters, I have to ask the same question I've asked the other WOTMs. What was your initial feeling when you had seen that you had been nominated, and that you had won with unanimous support?
- The first thing I thought was that someone forgot to remove the Username thing from the WOTM page after April Fools. Then I read the nomination and basically thought OMG. I was not expecting to be nominated because i've only been contributing on a regular basis since around October. As for winning with unanimous support, I would say it's an honor. I would like to say again, thanks to everyone who supported me for WOTM. It is a pleasure to work with all of you.
- When did Star Wars first appear in your life, and how did it take shape?
- Growing up I saw the movies here and there, but I never really got into Star Wars until the Thrawn Trilogy. I picked it up from a bookstore not far from where I live and after reading it a few times I was hooked. The next series I got was the Jedi Academy Trilogy and it only hooked me more. After them I basically started buying the books wherever I found them. A few years later I also found a nearby comic store and basically bought out their Star Wars comics :p Over the years I also played the various games when I could (still waiting on Battlefront 3). My goal has become to collect every book, game, comic and reference book.Supreme Emperor (talk) 03:47, May 4, 2013 (UTC)
- Wookieepedia charged into your internet time in 2008, according to your user page. Was this because of your passion for Star Wars, or was it Wookieepedia that got you involved in Star Wars?
- Prior to joining the site, I frequently researched stuff on here. It was around this time, I noticed some information missing in the Sun Crusher article, and decided to add it in. After this and a few other edits here and there, I vanished from editing for the most part, occasionally popping up to edit here and there, though for the most part I mainly read articles here.
- So, Project Novels. You have been very active in this WookieeProject. Are novels your favorite EU material?
- The EU novels are what really got me into Star Wars. As I stated earlier, it started with the Thrawn trilogy, then the Jedi Academy trilogy followed by whatever I could find at nearby bookstores and online. I would say they are my favorite area, though I do enjoy every other area, be it games, shows, comics, movies etc.
- Do you contribute to any other WookieeProjects, or do you prefer to stick to Project Novels?
- I actually also joined Project Massive Damage recently, as it covers stuff I hope to do for Project Novels. Depending on what I decide to work on in the future (my nominations may jump from novel to novel :P ), I may join other projects such as Project Ambition and Project Legacy Era whenever my work crosses over with theirs.
- Any major upcoming projects, whether it be for Project Novels or on your own?
- I would like to promote the Mission to Ansion article to FA status, though this will take a lot of work (and to be completely honest, it kind of scares me considering the mission was covered in the entire novel). I'll probably finish off the last two battle articles relating to the Approaching Storm before doing this. For the most part, I plan to nominate random novels articles here and there. I would also like to do a few articles for the Hutt Barnburner. I've also got my two long term maintenance projects, fixing redirects and adding inactive tags, though these two will likely never end :P
- What role do you feel Wookieepedia play in the Star Wars community?
- We are the true keepers of the Holocron :P In all honesty, we are the best place to search for information relating to Star Wars. We are a place you can come to to learn whatever you want, be it the weird stuff such as Mount Sorrow, the epic battles, and basically every character you can think of, and much much more.
- Any thoughts on the upcoming Episode 7?
- It would be foolish for Disney to throw out any established Canon. This would only drive away fans. To be honest, I wish they would cover the Thrawn trilogy in 7, 8 and 9. This would be an ideal place to start with, and would allow them to branch out into the rest of the EU. The Truce at Bakura could also be a good starting point, but who knows where they plan on going with 7. Supreme Emperor (talk) 04:09, May 16, 2013 (UTC)
- What is your Star Wars philosophy? It's a broad question, so feel free to answer it as you wish.
- To put it bluntly, Star Wars is amazing. The rest of this will probably be random ranting :P I really don't understand why they had to mess up so much canon with The Clone Wars when there is so much material available. Likewise, I hope they choose to follow the already established Canon with Episode 7. However, that's still a few years off so lets enjoy what we've got for now :P As for the new Rebels show set to air next year, hopefully they learned something from the Clone Wars. Ranting aside, I find it amazing how over the years so many people joined together to make this site what it is today. I am proud to call myself a Wookieepedian. :P
- Are there any other big hobbies or interests you participate in?
- For the most part, reading and video games. Oh and did I mention Star Wars :P
- Any final words of wisdom or awesome quotes or what-not for your fellow Wookieepedians?
- When you first start editing, you will make mistakes. This happens to everyone. If your edits get reverted, don't get discouraged. It's only a mistake if you don't learn anything from it. Many of my first edits were counterproductive, but I learned from them. Also, it's good to have a few small side projects for when you don't feel like doing anything huge.Supreme Emperor (talk) 14:16, May 9, 2013 (UTC)

And... here are some Rollback questions:
- Which of the Star Wars movies is your favorite and why?
- I would have to say Return of the Jedi, simply because I love the space battle at the end. Also, Piett dodged an A-Wing :P That battle was always one of my favorite moments (also loved the sound when the Executor was falling towards the Death Star)
- What is your best Star Wars memory?
- Mainly learning about the Star Wars universe, be it through books, games, or here (specifically stuff to do with war, battles, etc). Also that feeling when you go into a bookstore and manage to find a Star Wars book you don't have :P
- Do you have a favorite Star Wars quote?
- Not really one favorite, but some of my favorites were "But it was so artistically done" and Leia's speech during the fall of Coruscant in Star by Star, specifically "Keep fighting until you can fight no longer, then exhaust the enemy chasing you, and turn and fight some more."
- Do you think getting Rollback will change the way you edit the Wook in any way?
- Honestly, I don't think so. I'll still look at edits the same way while deciding whether or not to revert it. In situations where I want to give a reason for it, I will still use the old method of reverting. This will simply allow me to revert vandalism faster.
- How does it make you feel to be able to say that you have Rollback?
- I have to say, it feels pretty good. In the back of my mind I thought, maybe someday I could get Rollback rights, that would be pretty cool. I always figured that would be a long way off though. I never expected to be nominated this soon after I started actively editing. Once again, thanks to everyone who supported me, and may the Force be with you all. Massive Damage
Hey there, I noticed that you have joined WookieProject Massive damage and would like to welcome you. I also wondered if we could count your article Skirmish between the Borokii and the Januul as part of the project and one of the current noms. Thanks! - Princess GLG 02:27, May 4, 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, looks like we were both posting our messages at the same time. I just saw your question, and to be honest, I'm not really sure. It seems like including all things relating to battles would cover a lot of territory especially as Star Wars is full of battles and things involved with them. For now I would say the Project will stick to the actually articles on battles, skirmishes, duels, and such, and we'll see how that goes before adding anything else. - Princess GLG 02:32, May 4, 2013 (UTC)

This is unwarranted from my point of view
Hey, I got a notice from you account...Or so it says. I don't know if its automatic. I'm just contacting you to say that according to my history I haven't done excessive reversions to a particular article. If this warning is based off of an "edit-war" like the instance with Mickey Mouse, I did not revert enough times, I dropped reverting and entered the debate that was held by several others over the official canon of the article in question. I have yet to find any cause for this that is real. If I have been reported on these charges, please discount them as false. If there are other reasons that have instigated these charges and warning, please speak frankly in describing my wrong doing. Thank you. —Unsigned comment by an anonymous user (contribs)
When is a Topic Dead on a Talk Page?
99.188.36.80 02:09, June 24, 2013 (UTC) If you wish to restart a dead topic, one that isn't listed as dead, therefore, I would have no way of knowing it was dead, then you go to the ones who talked about it. I did. I told someone to look at the thing you just undid. The other guy in the debate is permanently banned for some reason. And now nobody could agree or disagree on what was said. I placed things under the topic with the discussion I was addressing, addressed to specific individuals in that conversation. Be careful when you follow rules. Legalism can hurt things at times. It was a continuation of the topic, dead or alive, and so should have been put under the same topic, by common sense. And IF I am to revive a dead conversation by starting a new topic, then why is the old conversation still posted. If it is for others to see and discuss what has been discussed, then it would make since to keep that discussion under the same topic, now matter how old the last post is. It will build, the discussion, maybe even reach a conclusion that is good and useful for Wookieepedia. But it is better to see it all under the same topic as a developing subject, the same subject. Due to the last edit on C-3P0 being four years old, would you say we must create a new article on him if new information had to be updated to Wookieepedia? See my meaning. And, in fact, you have just stopped the kind of developing conversation I am talking about. Consider this carefully. And have a good day.
- 99.188.36.80 01:21, June 28, 2013 (UTC) Gentlemen...Unless it is policy at Wookieepedia to remove those discussions from days gone by, they will be responded to by myself and others. What purpose do they serve to remain? What is the point to start "new" topics on the same subject and to continue them. These discussions and unanswered questions will stack and build if we let them, and eventually may reach decisions or provide information someone can use. Allow the content in question to remain in their headings, the subjects stay the same because they are. Perhaps no one will see the recent contributions to the Talk pages. Perhaps...More likely...Others will visit the talk pages, see their content, and help build despite the age of the discussion. We continue to talk about Threepio...For forty years we have. Consider this, speak to the administrators if you feel that you have a conclusion one way or the other. I will continue to scour the information source you have provided, and leave behind what advice qualified and appropriate for Wookieepedia. And that is if you, or your son, picks up the conversation where it left off or not. Some of these old chats are records of debate and deliberation on Wookieepedia. They can culminate and cultivate new reasoning, better understanding and articles. Thank you for your forbearance in this matter. If you continue to be dissuaded in this rational consideration, I will here your judgement, and cease to contribute to the growing talks on Wookieepedia. But is that silence what you desire or this site requires? Good day, responsible responders to the bylaws of this database. Thank you for your concern. But see truth.

The X-Wing Strategy Guide specifically cites Star Wars: X-Wing as their sourced appearance. Are you sure they are fanon? —GethralkinHyperwave 02:56, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Wow! I am in the middle of creating these pages, and I absolutely had a citation Notes and references section on article creation. Did you miss that? —GethralkinHyperwave 03:04, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- You obviously saw the creation time, and you have seen my message to you that I am working on it. I would appreciate you allowing me to finish the article before tagging it uselessly. —GethralkinHyperwave 03:09, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I see now that Cade got into the middle of this situation and it was him that reverted back the fanon template and added the template to the sister ship's article. Just so that you are aware, the Wookieepedia's guidelines on sourcing instructs that cited references (the sources that prove the material is canon) be placed in the Notes and references section below Appearances and Sources sections. While the A&P sections are the links to the relavant articles where the sourced material is located, they are interwiki. The reliable canonical proof of sourcing is in the references cited and listed at the bottom. Please take this into consideration next time before popping in Fanon templates. —GethralkinHyperwave 04:02, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- You've mistaken the template that I place on the ships. {{Verify}} is not designating the article as fanon; it is simply asking for an Appearances or Sources section. And you're also mistaken about the sourcing policy. The required part of an article is the Appearances/Sources section; referencing is useful but not required. I'm sorry if you have misunderstood this or my actions. Cade
Calrayn 04:06, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Also, I see why you thought it was a fanon template and selected the wrong policy; the actual policy that is required is Wookieepedia:Attribution, which is linked in the smaller second paragraph on the template. Cade
Calrayn 04:10, July 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, it is designating it as possible fanon when it states that the article is "pending source verification as possible fanon," and verifiability is indeed being called into question to prevent being classification as Fanon. However, the Attribution policy also tracks back to the Sourcing policy. Please see the Attribution policy concerning How to cite and request a source to see what is needed to provide such verification. "If you encounter a harmless statement that lacks attribution, you can tag it with the [source?] template (which will insert the following text: [source?])." Verify is only used when no sourcing is present. However, I provided sourcing, as you can read from the policy itself. —GethralkinHyperwave 04:18, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

Jedi vs. Sith with Cho Leem
You say you have essential guides. Do those include Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force? If so, perhaps you may oblige me by seeing if Thracia Cho Leem is said to have left the Order to serve not the Republic, but the Force, and that she maintained contact with the Temple. There are conflicting statements in her article, it is quite contradictory, and I was told talking to people might be the best way to confirm the truth. If you have it, it would be nice to know for sure where some of this is coming from. I browsed Rogue Planet at the beginning and end where she appeared, and it seems to disagree with her staying in contact with the Temple. Please assist if possible. Otherwise, I'll look elsewhere.99.188.36.80 18:19, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

Akkar Plint
Yes, of course! I would like to share it with you. In the Eugene Talmont page, I looked at one of the sections "Operations in Bestine". I checked very carefully in that section and I saw that it said 1 ABY. In that year, Talmont sent a spacer to kill the gangster Akkar Plint. That's what it said in the Eugene Talmont page before I edited the Akkar Plint page. That's all I know.--99.56.52.29 01:11, October 2, 2013 (UTC)
Hey
Hey there. I don't want to discourage you or assert that you're not doing good work --- you are, definitely --- but I don't think you should edit others' old comments, even to fix redirects. As user comments are intended to be preserved as a historical record, changing what was written alters and falsifies that record. Talk pages and old FANs and even old FA Queue pages reflect what the site was like at the time they were written, and I think they should exist as a record of that time rather than being updated to reflect today. Does that make sense? Menkooroo (talk) 04:05, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
- If an administrator deletes a redirect for any reason, it's their responsibility to fix all the links. In other words, editing others' posts (which is explicitly against policy) and/or changing a historical record should only be a last resort (ie, when a page is deleted and necessitates it). Sector fleet
Hey, Emperor. It looks like you'll have to synthesize some info from Chapters 4 and 5 of Specter --- Chapter 4 mentions that Disra controls the Braxant Sector Fleet, and Chapter 5 makes references to there being other sector fleets. Since each Moff governs a sector, each sector has a fleet, and Disra commands his sector's fleet, it stands to reason that each Moff does the same. Make sense? Why did you keep editing my contributions to Fyor Rodan? After the looses he refuses to accept an offer from Cal Omas to join his government, suspects that Lando and Talon did something to influence the election (which is technically true, but was not orchestrated by the Jedi or Omas), accuses them of giving favors to Lando and others to produce YVH droids (when Omas points out that Fyor himself also voted in approval) and is tricked into joining the confederacy because he hates the Jedi. He's honorable, but he's also extremely arrogant and refuses to admit when he's wrong.

Interview answers
Here are my answers to the WOTM interview. As you know, I'm no native speaker of English, so I probably made many mistakes. Please feel free to fix them. :-)
1. How does it feel to be Wookieepedian of the Month for the second time?
File:Lake Retreat Interior.jpg (because I'm part of the furtniture now)
Well, I guess that means I am now part of the furniture! The first time I was elected made me blush like a very manly schoolgirl, but now I suppose I'm merely nodding in contentment. That doesn't mean, of course, that I don't feel honored anymore. However, I presume that now, I am a well-installed Wookieepedian—dare I say a prominent one? (On the Jedi Council message boards, someone actually called me "a prominent Wookieepedian" once. God knows whether that was a compliment or an insult, but I'll still take it with pride.) Once again, I'd like to thank all those who were urbane enough to vote for me a second time—even though the only other nominee was a bot.;-)
2. How did you feel when you found out you were nominated?
Why, very happy of course! And a bit surprised too. My activity on the Wook, although quite regular, is a bit bulimic in nature too; I sometimes have "fits" of editing, but I wouldn't refer to myself as a hard worker—some of you were kind enough to do it, though.
3. Tell us a bit about your time here over the years.
Well, there have been quite a few controversies down here. Truth to be told, I can't say I always agreed with the people in charge when they took their stand on such infamous matters as the so-called "breast controversy." (Having the article is fine, but using it as an April Fools' Joke was more debatable.) However, I always endorsed every single community decision, although I may have groused about it from time to time—such are de ways of democracy, are they not? But in the end of the day, my editing around here has remained centered on having fun, which is why I always stuck with the Wook and my fellow 'pedians. I have met a few excellent Wookieepartners too. This is a contributive project, which means you have to work with others rather than all by yourself. And you can believe me, I normally am not the socioconstructivist type at all!;-)
4. What is the Star Wars community like in Belgium?
I'll try not to repeat myself there, since I already answered a similar question in my first interview. As I said, the Belgian Star Wars community is quite abundant, especially if you know how small the country is. There are no less than three distinct 501st groups, which is huge when you know there are only 10 millions people in Belgium! (Truth to be told, there used to be only one 501st garrison back in the days, but petty politics just got in the way, as it happens all the time in my country.) I had the recent pleasure to befriend my fellow countryman Tim Veekhoven (a.k.a. Soompeetalay), who co-wrote a few Rogue Galleries in the Insider magazine and is now a contributor to the official website. I've also joined the administators of the Star Wars Sourcebooks Facebook group, most of whom wrote in the Rogue Gallery department .
5. Got any advice for those who wish to start editing?
Let me repeat my piece of advice from the first interview: edit on things you like, not on things you feel are 'important.' It's all fiction anyway, so you might as well have fun. I mean, that's what we're all here for, right? Now, since life is not all merrymaking, I strongly advise any newcomer to consult the Layout Guide and the Attribution Policy carefully. Yes, Wookieepedia has loads of rules, but I think those mere two pages contain the remedies to many of the mistakes a newbie can make.
6. If you could change one thing about the site, what would it be? Tough question, Sir. The problem is, we aim to remain an encyclopedia, which pretty much prevents us from adding any of those pretty, social network-ish features Wikia always comes up with. Of course, the Wook is still perfectible, but I'm not much of an innovator. I'm not a sheep either, mind you. Yet I presume there are many other possibilities, don't you think? Guess I must be better at giving my opinion once somebody else comes up with a new idea...
7. What role do you feel Wookieepedia plays in the greater Star Wars continuity?
File:UniversityOfAldera.jpg (University of SW lore)
A few years ago, I would have answered Wookieepedia could become the Al-Azhar University of Star Wars lore. (This wonderful metaphor is curtesy of Master Abel Peña, no less.) Nowadays, however, I'm not sure what to think anymore. We've been explicitely told that we should not care about canon and continuity, which certainly casts doubt over the usefulness of our project. While I don't intend to quit, I suppose things will be different from now on. Now that I think of it, it's a great opportunity to do more activities in real-life! In a way, the Disney buyout is curing the geek out of me. ;-) While I still think we can be that university of Star Wars lore, that lore clearly has changed.
8. Back in your first WOTM interview, you predicted that the EU would be rebooted. How did you feel when you found out you were correct?
Many people called be a doomsayer at the time. But, well, in the end, I did bloody tell you. (Pardon my French.) Obviously, I wasn't surprised at all, which is in fact terribly disappointing. I was hoping LFL and Disney would prove me wrong. What bothered me much more was the way certain officials (such as Pablo Hidalgo and Shelly Shapiro) derided us out for caring about canon. We care about it because that canon system was really unique; there are very few franchises in which authors try to maintain a unified and coherent world, and this gave Star Wars a special feel. I can understand that continuity should not prevent a good story to happen, but I think this is a false dilemma. You actually can have it both ways, and I'm not sure why we seem to be the only ones who realize it.
9. Any words of wisdom or random thoughts?
I've never considered myself wise, but I certainly act random at times. For that reason, I'm just going to quote the British philosophers Lennon and McCartney: "When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking the words of wisdom: "Let it be." (Let's all admit it, I just cleverly avoided answering the question there.)
10. How did you first discover Wookieepedia, and what made you want to edit here?
The tale of how I discovered the Wook got lost in the mists of time, I'm afraid. Now that I look at my contributions' logs, I can see that my first edit was a question on Queen Jamillia's talk page. That was an unsigned, very badly spelled question. I wanted to know why the article did not mention the queen's South-West Naboo accent. Nobody ever answered it. Looks like I kept asking that kind of questions on article talk pages, and my first "real" edit came a year later, when I started working modestly on the "raven" article—you can see I was already fond of those much-maligned real-life articles. Truth to be told, I can't say there was a great or important motive behind my joining Wookieepedia. I used to be a huge Star Wars fan even back then, so I thought to myself: "Why not?" And there I still am, 8 years later. I guess you can call it a case of Stockholm syndrome.;-)
11. What are some of your favorite EU works?
File:Hologhost in the ruins.png (WEG goodness)
The more I delve into it, the more I appreciate the worldbuilding parts of the West End Games era. Even the later Wizards of the Coast installement couldn't hold the candle to it. Zahn is often credited as the father of the Expanded Universe, but he himself had been asked to coordinate Heir to the Empire with the existing WEG material. Although he complied begrungedly at first, he ended up remarking that the WEG team "had put together a boatload of really awesome stuff"—in his own words. Similarly, my fondness of the original Star Wars run by Marvel never cease to increase. It's obvious that comic authors of the time had lot of fun while writing those, although it did not prevent many Marvel adventures to be loaded with pathos and introduce interesting new worlds or characters. In my opinion, current-day Marvel comics will have to work hard in order to fill... their own shoes!

Interview Answers
- I wouldn't say that I really got hyper or anything, my usual style even in response to exciting news is somewhat laid-back. But I smiled and was happy for the nomination, though perhaps a bit surprised since it's only been relatively recently that I started doing a lot of work around here.
- Probably watching the films. I really can't say for absolutely sure. I wasn't born yet when either the original Star Wars or The Empire Strikes Back came out and wasn't even one when Return of the Jedi hit theatres, so you can be sure I wasn't watching much except the walls of a crib. So I watched the original films on video at some point, though darned if I could say when. And I'm a big reader, so eventually I started reading the books.
- I've been a long time user of Wikia under this username and an old one, so I'm sure when I wanted information about Star Wars, I just went to look here like I would look for information on any other wiki.
- I wasn't really all that rattled by it, because I think a lot of us had been expecting something like that for a long time, ever since Episode VII was announced. Sure, like everyone else, there are certain things I enjoyed from the Expanded Universe that I will miss as being part of canon. But I was also very exciting in reading about some of the things that they were planning, like an entire novel by James Luceno about Tarkin and hiring top children's authors like Adam Gidwitz and Tom Angleberger to do novelizations of the original trilogy. In fact, I'm a holding a copy of one the new books, The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, the picture book of the original trilogy by Tony DiTerlizzi, with Ralph McQuarrie's original concept artwork, just out today, right now.
Using what was already in place as canon going forward would never have worked. Besides the fact that they needed the freedom for an original story on the new films, it was just too much of a mess, a tangled web of contradictions. To name just one example-- I'm a big fan of Matthew Stover's novelization of Revenge of the Sith; it's easily my favorite of the Legends novelizations. But even just many of the little things now contradict with the canon that have followed. For example, when Anakin and Obi-Wan are fighting Dooku, Sidious yells "Get help! You're no match for a Sith Lord!" and Anakin shoots back, "Tell that to the one Obi-Wan left in pieces on Naboo!" But, of course, why would Anakin make such a comment when he knows perfectly well that Darth Maul is around and kicking, and why would he expect such a comment to have an impact on Dooku when he knows that he knows this too? And then there's the whole mess with the clones-- we know now that they had inhibitor chips, but you've got other media depicting them as acting independently even after Order 66.
I think most of us have certain things that we didn't really like about some stuff in the Expanded Universe, but maybe some don't want to admit it. Maybe you're happy now that Chewbacca lives, or you're glad to show something like The Glove of Darth Vader the door. I don't really go in for that term, "NuCanon." There's canon and there's Legends. They were fine stories, many of them, but they're only part of the main Star Wars unvierse now to the degree that any writer might choose to draw upon them for the new works. - Well, I wouldn't say I really started there. I've been working on here a bit more piecemeal for a quite a while before they started with that. But I do it because it needs to be done and I'm perfectly happy to, and also because I happen to like a lot of the new material that's coming out. You'll also see me though editing, funnily enough, some things that are about as far away from canon as you can get-- non-canon Legends like stuff from Jeffrey Brown's Jedi Academy books, or LEGO Star Wars.
- I used to be really big on the Harry Potter Wiki, and I still technically have admin status there, but I haven't really done anything lately. I also built the Eternal Sonata Wiki pretty much from the ground up-- almost all of the enemy pages there are my work, and I also fleshed out a lot of the character and location info. For those that don't know, which I suppose is probably most since Eternal Sonata is somewhat obscure at this point, Eternal Sonata is a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game with an unusual concept: the main character is the famous piano composer Frederic Chopin. You play him and other characters in a traditional Japanese RPG as they venture through a world that's happening as a dream of sorts inside his head as he's dying. The game came out only just right around when the PlayStation 3 was coming out, so it doesn't have Trophies, but I still recommend that version because it has a lot more content and the story was expanded to make better sense and provide more depth to the characters.
Other than that, I was also big on Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki for a while, and I've worked on the Final Fantasy Wiki as well. - I think we're a resource that helps people when they want to know more about what happened in Star Wars and also to connect to information about what new things and products are happening with it. I know those that work on it often access our information, so if it helps to make the stuff that's coming out even better, that's great.
- Those that are starting editing should take some time to look around and get to know the site. Read over a few of our articles, both canon and Legends. Have a spin around the forums, take a look at some of the code in the articles to see how things are done. At least skim over the policies so that you have an idea of basic expectations, and if something is bold or otherwise highlighted to draw attention, then you should read it. Once you think you have a handle on things, go ahead and give it a try. Use the preview to make sure what you're doing is looking okay and then if after it goes through you still don't like it, you can always undo it. If you get a message from someone that there's a problem with the edit, then make sure to follow their advice, so that you can do it right in the future.
- Maybe we could at least try some of the new features sometimes. We don't have to be entirely static, but we could be if we just leave everything the way it is without examining if something might be nice to have. For example, if done right, it might be nice to have some videos around here, though last I knew of, that feature still had a lot of issues.
- I think I've already mentioned, but I'm very big on the novelization of Revenge of the Sith. I also really enjoyed Drew Karpyshyn's Darth Bane novels. I'm pretty big also on some of Ryder Windham's compilation novels describing the lives of individual characters, like The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi. And I like The Clone Wars as a whole; once I started watching I really got into it and I think there was a lot of great character development and exciting action. I'd also say the book I mentioned earlier, The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, is a new favorite.
- Unless somebody beats me to the punch, I'm probably going to overhaul the canon Anakin Skywalker article sometime very soon. I'm also planning to flesh out the Roan Novachez article, though that may take a little longer as I'm not entirely satisfied with what I've written for that at the moment. Other than that, likely adding apperances and info for some otf the new material that's just come out, like The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight and A New Dawn.
- I'm trying to help us keep to our goal of being the best Star Wars information resource out there by providing good information that will help people learn about the franchise. I hope it'll make for interesting reading and help those who want to know more about it, whether "it" is the new continuity that's out now, the Legends stuff, or something that just lets people have some fun, like the LEGO Star Wars or Vader's Little Princess.

Well, in my work on trying to bring Voorpee up to Good article status, the comments I got seemed to be indicating to basically just explain everything briefly and not just assume that people would know what it is. WotM interview
Hi Supreme Emperor! Thanks for the congratulations, and yes, I would be interested in doing a WotM interview! :) Imperators II(Talk) 08:28, September 1, 2015 (UTC)
WotM interview answers
Hi Supreme Emperor! Here's my answers to the WotM interview. I took the liberty of adding the third question about how I became a Star Wars fan. Also, you could maybe add this image of the galaxy, since astrography articles is my current focus and since, of course, the galaxy is where the joy of us fans lies. :)
- How did you react when you discovered you were nominated to be Wookieepedian of the Month?
- I was honored to be nominated for the second time, although I have to admit that maybe I wasn’t surprised that much, since in the weeks before the nomination I had done a relatively large amount of maintenance edits in a short time span that had left several other regular Wookieepedians impressed with my work. That said, I'm still grateful to all the users who nominated and voted for me both the first and the second time!
- Tell us a bit about your time here over the years.
- Well, I first started to make maintenance edits on Wookieepedia in 2007. Over time, my editing frequency grew, and in 2011 I finally made my first status article nomination, the Halurian ice-boar, which reached Comprehensive status with relative ease. The next step came a year later, when I first nominated the article on Ashla for Good status. Unfortunately, I had to leave Wookieepedia in 2013 because of real life reasons; however, I returned in July this year, and now I have my first article, Te Hasa, on the Featured article nominations page!
- What was your first Star Wars-related memory?
- I don't recall how or when I watched the original trilogy, but I have a distinct memory of my older brother taking me to the Return of the Jedi in a movie theater in the 1990s. Also, both of my older brothers had a relatively large collection of the old Bantam Expanded Universe novels, like The Last Command, the Jedi Search and such. I guess that was what really started my love for Star Wars. Other cool Star Wars-related childhood memories are of me and my neighborhood kids playing with Star Wars LEGO sets, getting super-excited together about the then-upcoming The Phantom Menace, and arguing about whether Jabba the Hutt had arms at all - based on our partial memories of the Return of the Jedi (oh, if only Wookieepedia had existed back then...:)).
- How did you react when LFL decided to move all Expanded Universe material to “Legends” and start fresh with a “new” canon?
- I was surprised at first, and maybe a little saddened for two reasons. First, I was really looking forward to more publications that continued the existing Expanded Universe storylines. Second, I had for years taken joy in the fact that most of the Star Wars works were considered canon, a fact that, for me, was another great distinction between Star Wars and other science fiction franchises such as Star Trek. However, now I realize that the upcoming sequel trilogy couldn’t really have been made while taking into account the existing post-Return of the Jedi EU material.
- How did you first discover Wookieepedia, and what made you decide to contribute here?
- Honestly, I have no recollection of how exactly I discovered Wookieepedia, but I sure can’t imagine now how I lived without it for so long! :) Once I realized how much more useful and more comprehensive the Wook was than, for example, the old StarWars.com Databank, I started contributing on the Wook and eventually became completely hooked on the site.
- Tell us a bit about what the site was like when you first started here, and how it has changed over the years.
- Well, all I can say is that since my first days knowing Wookieepedia, I’ve been amazed at how comprehensive and professional the site is - it just covers so many aspects and details of the Star Wars universe that no other site does! Alas, in the years before I left Wookieepedia in 2013, the user activity on the Wook was much higher, with more people actively engaged in various projects, and many users I knew back then have since left Wookieepedia. However, even at this low point of user activity, the site still upholds high standards of quality in its coverage of Star Wars-related information.
- For those who aren’t familiar with your contributions here, tell us a bit about some of the things you do here.
- I started my work on Wookieepedia with small maintenance edits on various articles I encountered across the site, which is what I still do from time to time. By 2011, my interest primarily lay in the Star Wars in-universe chronology, and I mostly concentrated on sourcing the in-universe year articles. That year, I began writing up status articles, and around the same time, my interest gradually shifted to the astrography area of the Star Wars universe - describing the various planets, star systems and other astronomy-related things from Star Wars. The discovery of the site’s WookieeProject: Astrography helped me on the path to writing up status articles on astronomical subjects, and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.
- What role do you feel Wookieepedia plays in the greater Star Wars community?
- I feel that, as others have said before, to many people Wookieepedia is the ultimate resource when one wants to look up some information related to the Star Wars universe. The site’s professional approach to comprehensive coverage of Star Wars information has made it quite popular, and it is being referenced in media more and more frequently. However, I think that the main role the Wook plays in the Star Wars fan community is that allows the fans to pool their enthusiasm for Star Wars in creating a fine crystal of an encyclopedia. :)

Hi, I am a Star Wars Fan who uses Wookiepedia to look things up or contribute to editing articles that are not complete. I use sources like books or online sources like Star Wars.com. However, when I contribute to Wookiepedia. Also, when I finish contributing to the article;Sometimes the editors ether ignore my edits or they delete my edits. Other than that I really like Wookiepedia very much . May the Force be with all Star Wars fans.

Evening,
I'm looking to create an article on a Galactic Empire Lieutenant by the name of Thon. He makes an appearance in the novel Tarkin. The issue however is that there are several uses of the word Thon. The first is the name itself, which refers to the the Tchuukthai Jedi Watchman, the second use being a continent of Alderaan.
When creating the name of the article, should it be: Thon (Individual), or Thon (Imperial)?
Thanks!

Hi,
I would like to raise a theory about the creation of R2D2. My theory being that R2D2 is possessed by a Jedi.
My theory going further that:
During Artoo's assembly, a battle raged between Jedi and Siths within the Industrial Automation assembly line. Both sides seeking to gain complete control of the manufacturing of droids. During the battle, the Jedi Master leading the battle, a former student of Yoda was killed. However during his dying moments, the Jedi transferred his force spirit into the memory boards of the nearest droid unit - R2D2.
This immediately gave the droid unit uniqueness among all other droids on the assembly line. Allowing the droid to avoid major memory wipes or receive new programming.
Through his possession of Jedi powers, R2D2 was able to place himself in pivotal moments in The galactic timeline of history, his bravery and ingenuity often saved the galaxy time and time again.
I'm not sure of the process here, assuming that such theory needs to put to a council or group of types?
I am unable to find any references that would refute this theory, it would certainly explain why R2D2 has such strong skills in combat and was present at most major events.
Can you please advise best process.
Thanks --Scottyo77 (talk) 10:07, January 8, 2017 (UTC)

Hi SE! Just wanted to remind you that you're on scheduling for EC meeting 40 (it's been a month already since meeting 39). Cheers! Imperators II(Talk) 06:04, April 12, 2017 (UTC)
- Hey SE. Since apparently nobody made it to the EC meeting last week, I think you should reschedule it. You're on it, right? :P Imperators II(Talk) 20:13, April 29, 2017 (UTC)
Re:Meeting availability
Hey, SE. I can make it to the meeting if it's not in the window between 6 pm and 11 pm ET. 9 pm is like 4 am for me. Imperators II(Talk) 06:27, May 2, 2017 (UTC)
IRC meeting
Hi Supreme Emperor,
I got your message about the IRC channel on my user page. I'm not sure how to log into it. I read the IRC page but still don't understand how to access it. What did you want to talk to me about by the way? Andykatib 08:14, May 6, 2017 (UTC)
- Hi there,
I got your message about the featured articles. What sort of help do they need? If it is just with links, I would be okay to help. But if it involves heavy-scale editing, I wouldn't have enough time. Outside of my PhD studies and other stuff, I'm focusing my Wookieepedia efforts on updating the Star Wars Rebels and the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures material. I also do target the various character, events, and locations articles related to the novels like Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy and right now Paul S. Kemp's Lords of the Sith novel. I think I have a niche area. I'm a bit tight for time and energy right now. But thanks for letting me know. Andykatib 03:34, May 7, 2017 (UTC)
IRC
Yeah, it's been a while. You may have noticed something of a drop in my editing recently as I've been quite busy. Still, I'd be happy to pop by. Are you going to be on this evening? ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:14, May 6, 2017 (UTC)
- So this weekend turned out not to be good for me for getting on in the evening. Are you going to be on again tonight? I can be on anytime between 9:30 P.M. and around midnight eastern, though it would be good to have a specific time if you can. ProfessorTofty (talk) 18:09, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
Re:IRC
Hey SE. I should be able to pop on sometime within the next few hours, if you're available at all then. Cevan (talk) 22:17, May 6, 2017 (UTC)

IRC Tomorrow
Great! I should be able to make that. About what time were you thinking? ProfessorTofty (talk) 02:42, May 17, 2017 (UTC)
- Last night was not a good night for me - very busy. But if you're on around the same time tonight, I'll be on. If not, let me know what's a good time. ProfessorTofty (talk) 15:24, May 17, 2017 (UTC)
- Supreme - I've been on several times tonight and haven't seen you. It's getting late and I'm going to have to give up for tonight. I might be able to try tomorrow, but we'll have to see. Let me know. ProfessorTofty (talk) 03:15, May 18, 2017 (UTC)
- I guess you weren't able to make it. I'm going to try again this evening - I have a bunch of free time this weekend too. I'm really hoping we can talk because I have something I'd kinda unload myself. Let me know when and if you can be on. If I see at all that you're on, I'll gladly hop on. ProfessorTofty (talk) 14:54, May 18, 2017 (UTC)

Greetings
Hello. I am very new to wiki editing and Wookieepedia. I am currently working on the page Vrogas Vas and a small number of other articles relating to comics I've read recently and noticed there wasn't a Wookieepedia page for. I would like to be able to upload pictures. Is there a way that I could do this? JHan919 (talk) 08:16, October 17, 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, so I think I figured it out, I think that I just need to do a certain amount of edits on Wookieepedia to do it.JHan919 (talk) 22:36, October 18, 2017 (UTC)

Question for you
Hello sir or madam. It would appear that you have caused my user page to be blocked as admin access only. I understand why it was done as I was in college at the time and not very active in editing things, but now I am beginning to take an interest in making pages and editing again. Would you perhaps be able to undo the blocking of my page? It is disappointing to me and makes me feel bad :-(. Also makes it difficult to sign things cuz it says I am an inactive user. Thanks for taking the time to read this. --

Msg-vandalism template idea
Hey Supreme Emperor, hope you're having a good night,
Wanted to pop by right quick to mention a quick idea. I noticed in the RC that you've been adding {{Msg-vandalism}} for a lot of talkpages, and wanted to mention a quick idea that might make it a bit easier.
Using <includeonly> and {{{~~~~|1}}} should allow for you to post the template without having to sign your username. A working example can be see here with {{PAGENAME}} if you want one. Users with custom signatures would place their tildes (~) as usual. This would make it a lot quicker to place the template for users who don't have a custom signature, while not changing anything for users who have one. It sounds like a good idea to me, but obviously lol, this isn't my wiki, it's you guys' wiki. It should also work with every other talkpage template you guys have, like {{w}}. I just wanted to mention the idea. I hope it helps. – The Crusader of Truth (talk – chat) 06:01, November 29, 2017 (UTC)
User page
Hello Administrator. I have returned to editing this wiki so I was hoping you could unblock my user page so that I could use my signature for when I am trying to communicate with people on this page. I would really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I cannot use my signature as you have blocked my page. No one else will fix it because you were the one to block editing on my page and made it admin only so they only want the person who made my page inactive to undo it. If you would do this I would really appreciate it! the page is, User:Anju Vena. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I will sign it but as you will see it won't show anything.--

Magick
I know this article describes a particular aspect of the Force, but the "Appearances" section includes a few mentions which refer to the occult and supernatural in general. That's why I don't agree with the undoing of my edits. --06:34, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for dropping by! I'm the one who added this tag (Special:Diff/7325024). Basically everything except for Star Wars: The Clone Wars (excluding "The Academy"), Dark Disciple, Star Wars: Darth Maul—Son of Dathomir, "Visions and Voices", and Star Wars: Uprising doesn't depict or refer to the Nightsisters' witchcraft. --17:26, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
Re: Rise Empire era
Well we do know that the Rebellion era started in 0 ABY and ended in 4 ABY and those characters are adults. Which means they are born in the Rise of the Empire eraand being born during that time means they would have had some unknown activity and parts during that time.
Their actions would be more well known during the Rebellion era when they are adults. Because if they were only active during the short time of the Rebellion era that would make them kids and babies. So for them to be the adult ages that they at during that time that means they have been involved during some of the events of the Rise of the Empire era.
Anyway if you a response to message wall after reading this just thought I let you know that I won't be editing, adding, working or active on here anymore. The reason why I am saying that I will be leaving Wookieepedia because well this how it always turns out for me wikis. It just ends the way for me on wikis getting blocked or banded so this message that I have sent you will be the last thing I do here before I get in to trouble and things get worse for me. This will be my last time I send a message to someone on here.
It was a mistake for to come on because I have done nothing good on here ever since I have made my first edit so the only thing I will do is just search for things and just read about things on this site. I will no longer be Wookieepedia so that way I don't end up doing something that will get blocked or banded. This is my goodbye message. X-Mutant (talk) 8:33, December 31, 2017 (UTC)

Question about quotations from noncanon choices
I've been editing Jaesa Willsaam's article, and I realize that there is a good quote for her powers that might even be better than the one I put down there... but the problem is that it is only on her light side version. What is the policy on using quotations from likely non-canon solutions (given the wiki assumes all Empire sides chose Dark Side, and vice versa on the Republic side)?GZilla311 (talk) 03:09, January 4, 2018 (UTC)
Sith apparel?
Due to the fact that we have a Jedi robes category, and there's a very high quantity of Sith armor and outfits, should we make a category for that form of armor? Possible applicable additions to the category:
- Ancient Sith armor
- Crado's robe
- Darth Revan's robes
- Darth Vader's armor
- Helm of Dathka Graush
- Helm of Ieldis
- Horak-mul's ceremonial robe
- Kallig's Countenance
- Ludo Kressh's armband
- Marka Ragnos' gauntlets
- Mask of Darth Nihilus
- Neer's Gauntlet
- Orbalisk armor
- Revan's mask
- Shadow Crown
- Sith apparel
- Sith Empire uniforms
- Sith gloves
- Sith stalker armor
- Sith trooper armor
- Tulak Hord's mask
- Darth Vader's armor
Maybe not all of these apply, but I imagine a sizable amount do. Enough for a category?

Hey, SE. I logged in to find that my User page was deleted. I have been doing research this past year which is wrapping up soon, and I came in to start working on some pages, like 88th Flight, that needed cleaning up. - Okay, I got it myself just fine. I thought that because you edited it twice that I wouldn't be able to undo the Inactive status, but your prior edit was something for a file tag. Sorry to bother you. —GethralkinHyperwave 03:16, March 29, 2018 (UTC)
