Good day!
I just saw that you have undid the change done at Darth Perash. It would be really nice to add the detail in BtS then instead of simply removing although I personally believe that the French, German and English descriptions in-game were afterall all written by Electronic Arts so it serves as a good source material. Especially in articles where the gender is unclear in the British version, the German and French variants give quite the good insight into these points.

Regarding the Forgotten Terrace
Greetings!
No, as far as I believe, these are two different temples (they look different in-game aswell). But the temple is not described, we only see a large temple building that is draped with Revanite Banners and the player needs to defeat Revan as main boss in a circular arena in front of the temple. The inside of that temple is not accessable.
Best wishes! --Naberria (talk) 14:55, October 10, 2019 (UTC)

Oh then sorry for the spoilers! Now I am actually unsure myself since it's a long time ago I played that one myself! Though I think you may be right! I checked and asked around now and there is an SWTOR-Operation that is called "Temple of Sacrifice" which is probably an alternate version to conclude the storyline. However, in the regular storyline (the one I did), they travel to that temple (which looks different from the one in the Operation) but I just checked story-version again and Satele is referring to it as the "Emperor's final sanctuary" so it might be the same afterall and there's probably two versions to conclude the storyline then I suppose! My bad, I should have checked that earlier!

Yes, I do. Death Troopers didn't really patrol, maybe expect one on Lothal, but we don't know. There aren't anymore examples of them patrolling. Mantellian Army
Didn't had time to dig further on this until today.
So, as you noticed, I edited the page during the week, mostly trying to tie-up indirect mentions in the Codex and the Encyclopedia, however, I was overzealous, and you were completely right to undo that edit. When I first discovered that page, I was doubting it should exist at all, believing that Mantellian Troopers (and the over half dozen Mantellian-type NPCs) were just Republic soldiers with AO-specifics uniform. Digging the game files (thanks to TOR Community), the gears they wear further increased this initial belief, because all of them used assets textures named with "republic" in them. However, still digging the game file, I managed to find out that, while the majority of all humanoid NPCs are named Mantellian something, there is a few with name like Republic something. This, with the Codex entry "Split by Rebellion" shattered my initial belief that the NPCs were AO-specifics republic soldiers, even more when, digging further, other worlds I picked to compare don't seem to present AO-specifics named republics NPCs.
I came to believe that the wook page was right, and to make sense of it all, I must admit I was a bit overzealous, and again you were right to undid that edit. But, that's not the end of this little story, because, let's not forget, this game can be a fracking mess. So, after you undid my edit, I tried to find further proofs or disproofs of what is the Mantellian Army. Let's cut the chase. If you have the SWTOR Encyclopedia nearby, please open it page 37. The character on the left of the page is describe as a Private (in the Republic Military Hierarchy), wearing the uniform that every Mantellian-type NPCs show in the game (exception to doctor and specialist, if I recall). The description read as follow: "A new Republic Army recruit, wearing standard kit for service on the planet Ord Mantell". There it is.
I was wrong, but the page, which you created, is also wrong. While Codex entry "Split by Rebellion" speak of a "government-backed military", one could argue that the government in question could be the Republic, and not the Central Authority, making this page dubious, unless there is specific mention of the Mantellian Army somewhere that I'm not aware of. Anyway, it should at least be marked as conjectural naming, and the infobox shouldn't have those info : "Strength: Mantellian Troopers" and "Headquarters: Fort Garnik". And the Mantellian Trooper page should be edited to show that it's part of the Republic Army. That I could do, but I first want to know what you think we should do about the Mantellian Army page. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 14:53, October 13, 2019 (UTC)
- Ok about the Codex entry. I might had a Behind the scenes bit to explain the confusion, or create a talk page. You want to remove only the headquarters, but not the Mantellian Troopers in the infobox? I mean, the Encyclopedia make it quite clear that the uniform is worn by republic personnel operating on Ord Mantell, meaning that every NPCs On Ord Mantell with said uniform should be identified as part of the Republic Army and not the Mantellian Army, right? Since you don't have the book (btw, if you ever want to know of something from the Encyclopedia, fell free to ask), I should specify that the page I'm talking about is part of "The Republic" chapter, and the double-page 36-37 is titled "Republic Military Hierarchy", so there is no confusion. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 15:21, October 13, 2019 (UTC)
- Look like we don't agree on this. The encyclopedia make it clear, on the same page "Infantry uniform colors vary based on branch of service and location of deployment". It's explicit that the Republic infantry on Ord Mantell in field dress (that how the uniform is called in the encyclopedia) wear that uniform. Wesner, near Drelliad, wear the blue uniform and has this line "The Republic doesn't train idiots. I got a good head and I plan to keep it." Same goes for Farn, who say: "Beg your pardon, sir, but I enlisted in the Republic Army--not some gang of mercenaries killing for credits." And concerning the NPCs names, I just checked, there only four with republic in the name, from what I can tell (checking within the files with the help of jedipedia https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/fqn/npc) : 3 in the world: Republic Officer (officer uniform), Republic Technician (tech uniform), and Republic Soldier (with armor), and 1 specific to a mission, Republic corporal, with armor. To my knowledge, there is not one NPCs with "republic" in its name and wearing the blue uniform, while every Mantellian (Trooper, Soldier, Sergeant, Scout, Infiltrator, Commander) use it, with the exception of non-infantry NPCS (doctor, officer, with that last one wearing the same uniform as "Republic General", the NPCs you can place in a galactic fortress). One mission (Clearing the Landing Zone) specific NPCs called Mantellian Specialist wear the same armor as Republic Soldier/Republic Corporal. To the extend of my research and the explicit reference in the Encyclopedia, I have no doubt that Mantellian NPCs name ever refered to "soldier originating from Ord Mantell", but rather "republic infantry specifically geared for deployment on Ord Mantell." --NanoLuukeCloning facility 16:57, October 13, 2019 (UTC)

Re: 3629 BBY
It was mentioned in the expansion that Scourge and Kira were comatose for a year following Valkorion's final death; not sure how exactly to source that though. Not sure that it counts as a source since it is an in-universe reference. Probably would open that up to debate to see what everyone thinks and then can either keep or remove the page based on that. 220.244.44.210 13:09, October 28, 2019 (UTC)

3630/3629 BBY
I know it's been discussed in the topic above a day ago but I think this needs to be brought up again and properly addressed. First of all, it's very counter productive if you just go on and add fact templates to everything instead of questioning my reasoning directly. Regarding the dates--there are no exact dating in SWTOR so well rely on estimates (circas/arounds). It's been widely established that the story starts at around 3643 BBY/3642 BBY and that the vanilla game events take 2 years. From this [[File:Boyd Timeline.png]] we can make the math and say that 47 months (4 years) have passed since the end of the vanilla game events so right now we're starting 4.0 KOTFE at 3637/3636 BBY. At the game's start you're frozen for 5 years and so Chapter I begin in 3632/3631 BBY. Following the events of 5.0 KOTET companion conversations claim 6 years have passed since the carbon freezing which makes KOTFE+KOTET storylines a year long (we're starting at 3631/3630 BBY). Some time has passed since the events of 5.10 on Ossus but we can still claim we're somewhere between 3631-3629 BBY, and that's why I make it "around 3630 BBY". So this is my reasoning and I have quests and statements to back it up. Let me know if you think it's best to start a SH dicussion. Winterz (talk) 14:46, October 29, 2019 (UTC)
- I saw the anon user's reasoning and as I explained above, I can't really counter it since it's all about estimates. I would prefer we if we used "around 3630 BBY" as it serves as middle-ground. Regarding Kira Carsen's statement, it's no different from companion conversations at the end of KOTET (and respective updates) as they all say the same "1 year has passed since the battle of Zakuul". But we don't have an exact dating on the Battle of Zakuul either, only an estimate. I know, it's messy but we can't say for "3629 BBY" with certainty. But I guess "circa 3629 BBY" wouldn't be any more wrong than "3631 BBY". Winterz (talk) 14:55, October 29, 2019 (UTC)
- It's no trouble, mate. I think I'll work on a reference template for the dating. Winterz (talk) 14:58, October 29, 2019 (UTC)
- You're right, none reference the battle of Zakuul. They just state 6 years have passed since the carbon freezing. The anon was onto something but the estimate is still 3630/3629 BBY as it's 13 years since the game start (3643/3642 BBY). We should make a proper reference for this.Winterz (talk) 15:09, October 29, 2019 (UTC)

Hey Fan. I went ahead and put a proposal up for vote regarding the Outlander's diverging storylines. Winterz (talk) 21:40, November 1, 2019 (UTC)
- You're missing my point, Fan. It is not impossible to write everything in the Bts section, I just believe it is wrong that we shouldn't look for a way to write content pages. The Behind the scenes should be for gameplay alternatives, and that means alternatives to a story. If we're not writing any story then it's not gameplay alternatives only but the whole game's storyline; everything's going on the Behind the scenes. In the CT I have specified that the saboteur option is considered gameplay alternatives as we're assuming a character who supports the Republic and lightside choices. Whatever the saboteur outcome is, it's gameplay alternatives and should be mentioned in the Bts section. I know we disagree over some items but one thing we have strongly in common and that is to improve SWTOR articles in the Wookieepedia so we defintely look for a compromise here. Not everyone within the Empire or in a Sphere is a Sith which is why the Sith Order category is necessary and doesn’t need to be removed. Andrewh7 (talk) 05:16, March 18, 2020 (UTC) Andrewh7
- They said it was for those that didn’t work at the Academy and those that didn’t have any other affiliations which she does. She definitely works at the Academy representing the Intelligence Operations of the Sith or at least is stationed there which means she circumvents the policy. Now as for adding the Sith Order, it is completely necessary. As I told you yesterday not every individual within the Empire is a Sith. There are Imperials and residents so having the Sith Order category is needed. Just because no one has thought of it and many are against it because of their own personal views or narrow-mindness doesn’t mean it isn’t necessary. And I will keep doing it because adding the Sith Order category is necessary and I will only stop when an admin or someone with authority tells me to. Greetings exalted one,
I am a newcomer to the editing side of Wookieepedia and have made a couple of slight alterations to the Anakin Skywalker page to clean up some grammar errors and to otherwise clarify information that was either missing or misleading. I also have several screenshots taken of the new Star Wars game Jedi: Fallen Order, but I currently do not have the authorization to upload them or add them to the appropriate pages (Cal Kestis, etc). I would like to submit a couple of those screenshots, but I'm not sure that I can find enough edits to make to be able to submit them. Do you know who is the main author for the Cal Kestis [1] page so I may submit the images for the page?

TOR Citation
You and I have been tracking SWTOR pages lacking citations since some times, leaving a Template:Citation every time we came across those. I thought it would be nice to have a dedicated template ("TORCitation") for this purpose, since were talking about hundreds of pages. I toyed a bit with the idea on my Workbench. Two main benefits: it's specific to TORcite (better editor awareness on the issue and tool required) and we could funnel the pages into a new category (Category:SWTOR pages needing TORcite) instead of the regular Category:Pages needing citation. What do you think? --NanoLuukeCloning facility 14:01, July 30, 2020 (UTC)
- After discussing this with ecks, it seems this goes against the current template politic, and I decided to drop it. We should keep using the Citation template. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 20:40, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Twi'lek businessman
Hi Fan. In general, I agree that links to redirects should be avoided. But to say never... well, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." It doesn't serve anyone's interests to blindly apply a rule to every situation without thinking about whether it makes sense in that context.
To me, the most important consideration is: what best serves readers? I feel the MMORPG redirect link is one of those rare exceptions to the general rule: it brings readers to exactly the place that will answer the question that most likely prompted them to click the link: "what is a 'massively multiplayer online role-playing game' anyway?" And it's better than directly linking [[Video game#Massively multiplayer online role-playing game]] in the article, because that way if the anchor in the video game article ever changes, updating the redirect page itself will automatically fix the landing point for all pages that use it. But I'd like to hear the argument in favor of the pipelinked version, if there is one beyond "a bunch of other articles do it that way."
Ultimately, considering we've gotten rid of the real-world novel article and changed the comic book one to a list, as previously both were essentially dictionary entries, video game—which falls into the same category—ought to meet a similar fate, making this whole debate moot. Then we'd just link to the Wikipedia MMORPG article, which I've seen numerous Wookieepedia articles do and have never changed them. Anyway, thanks for the comments. - (Sorry I didn't respond to this before my Wookieepedia vacation.) This appears to come down to a difference of philosophy.
Your response seems to imply you view the style manual as a rulebook that cannot be violated (though do correct me if I'm misreading you). However, in professional publishing, the style manual is a starting point, not an ending point: it is there to ensure consistency of style, but editorial discretion can overrule it as needed where an editor determines that some other approach best serves the readers in a specific situation.
Ultimately, I've no desire to edit-war over so trivial a matter, so I've retained your link target and changed only the text to use the standard terminology and punctuation. Happy 2021! Asithol (talk) 08:52, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

User Infobox
Hey Fan, I'm trying to neaten up my user page, and I don't know how to cut off my infobox so there isn't a huge empty space underneath my paragraphs. I can't find anything about this on the help pages, so I would appreciate some feedback. EthSch13 (talk) 17:16, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Also wondering about how to change the color of the infobox. Thanks, EthSch13 (talk) 17:18, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Paperwork
Hi Fan. Just a reminder that it is your responsibility to compete the paperwork for EC 76 and schedule the next meeting. If you have not completed these duties by 19:00 UTC today, which marks one week since the meeting, you will receive a strike on the bylaws page. Tommy-Macaroni 11:55, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Fan, a couple of things. First off, there's a discrepancy in when Meeting 77 is occurring. The meeting page infobox says 18:00 UCT (6 PM), but the meeting prose and the talk page message says 8 PM UTC (20:00). Which is it? Second, you also need to note the articles extended and kept in the Meeting 76 minutes. Third, you need to change {{CA}} to {{FormerCA}} on stripped articles' talk pages. I have no idea what went on here but {{FormerCA}} should be kept between Talkheader and the milestones. You also shouldn't just remove {{CA}} as you did here. And that's just from a 5-minute glance at your edits last night. To be frank, I'm really not impressed with this, especially given our previous conversation about edit summaries and the fact that you were let off the hook for doing the paperwork late too. As an aside, please let me know when you set up your Discord so I can add you to something. Tommy-Macaroni 10:48, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- Looking further, you've also forgotten to do the paperwork for the kept articles (Qonto, Inspector-General, Dawn (escort), Unidentified Imperial commander (Brema sector), and Cemas). This really isn't good enough, Fan. Our agreement was that your strike would be shirked if you completed the paperwork yesterday, but as that obviously hasn't been done, I'm issuing you a strike now. Please sort of these articles and make sure everything else from the log has been done. Tommy-Macaroni 10:58, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
Deleted SWTOR articles
Hey, I've noticed that several legitimate SWTOR articles have been deleted from the wiki with the only explanation being 'Mauser'. Is there a reason they shouldn't exist? The wiki says that you've compiled a list of such deleted articles on one of your subpages. Thanks! Cumulonimbus Cloud (Talk) 22:34, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- LOL, that's amazing. Who knew a Star Wars wiki could be so dramatic? If that's the only reason I'll probably get around to recreating more of these articles. I hope you preserved some of the associated images for those pages before they were deleted too, otherwise it's going to be a pain in the ass to screenshot all of them again Cumulonimbus Cloud (Talk) 17:59, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Raxus droid TC update
Hi <insert name here>,
Just wanted to drop a note regarding Forum:TC:Unidentified Raxus B1s as I feel there was information missing when it was created, particularly on with the second droid. You may still feel it is not notable and worth TCing, but I did want to call out that information to ensure you make an informed decision.
No need to respond, this is just an FYI only for you to be aware, in case you weren't before.
Have a good one!
