A skilled agent of the Galactic Republic's Strategic Information Service was forced to go silent to avoid pursuers during the Cold War between the Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Because of this, he was unable to do a scheduled check-in from the[1] Mid Rim planet[2] Kashyyyk.[1]
Around 3643 BBY,[3] an individual associated with one of the two rival governments sent a companion of theirs to find out why the agent had missed his check-in. The companion's arrival chased away the agent's pursuers.[1]
Behind the scenes
The SIS agent was mentioned in the Crew Skill mission "Missing Asset" in the 2011 BioWare video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. The information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Missing Asset" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
